Q: I am a short rider and have trouble fitting on most ebikes. I am very interested in the ranger but will a 5' person be able to plant their feet on the ground with their rear still in the saddle?

A: You should NOT be able to touch the ground while seated in the saddle as this will make your knees bend too much while pedalling and it will hurt your knees when riding. Your bottom foot should be ever so slightly bent/almost straight. You need your inseam and the standover height should be one- inch smaller than that.

Q: This is a class 2 ebike when u get it the 28mph has to be unlocked.

A: You made a statement, rather than ask a question, lol. Apart from a single review on Amazon stating that he couldn't unlock speed on a replacement bike he received, the ability to unlock extended speeds is very easy. There is a video on Okai website, showing how to flip a single toggle in the app to unlock the top speed restriction, from 20 mph; removing the limit; allowing 28+ mph (up to 30 when battery near full charge) It should be a super simple operation. Here is a link to the page, where a short video os avaliable on a Dropbox folder. My bike arrives tomorrow and the very first thing I will do after activating the bike (you have to get the battery out of hibernation/shipping state by plugging in the charger briefly) -is to unlock the speed restriction - not that I will be tearing up the street on the first ride. That's for the second ride, naturally. Here is the link: https://okai.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/73000619489-okai-ranger-speed-unlock

Q: Does this bike have a cadence or torque senssor?

A: I believe its a cadence sensor

Q: How difficult to,assemble

A: Scale 1-10 on assembly I would say its a 2 or 3 on difficulty.

Q: Is there any way to lock screen so that anyone can't just walk up and turn bike on from orange button on eb50 ranger and does the bike go 20 or 28mph.

A: Depends if you are pedaling or not: The Ranger is a class 3 e-bike, meaning it can reach speeds of up to 45 km/h (28 mph) on pedal assist. With an included throttle, the bike can also operate as a class 2 e-bike with a top speed of 32 km/h (20 mph).
