I shoot Nikon Z series and Olympus M1 Mkiii. This lens is so phenomenal on the Mkiii, that it rarely comes off the camera. If anyone is considering this lens, buy it. It’s pro quality, sharp and outstanding. Perfect focal range for travel, too.

I've used various lenses on various systems for the past 12 years and finally decided to get a little more serious with the micro four-thirds system and wanted something that could be an "all-in-one" type of solution. Well - this lens is it! Pros: 1. It covers the useful ranges of capturing family events, children's sporting events, and casual photography all in one lens. 2. It can satisfy the itch you may have for a macro lens, but aren't fully committed to spending several hundred dollars on a dedicated macro lens. 3. The autofocus is quick and silent. No complaints there. 4. The built in IS is amazing. I tried it on an older camera body and the lens IS worked surprisingly well. However, if you use it on a body that supports Sync IS.... words can't describe how good this system is. This is what i was looking for 10 years ago! An F4 lens is perfect even in poorly lit situation thanks to the IS system. 5. The build quality is amazing. 6. The sliding focus focus collar with positive stops is very nice. I found I could change from manual focus to auto focus almost instantly and then back again while taking pics of a kids soccer game. 7. The image quality and color is phenomenal. Go look at some other reviews and websites. This lens is amazing at F4 from 12mm all the way to 100mm. Cons: 1. It's heavy. Okay, it's not that bad, but it's not light! 2. I would recommend an M1 Mk ii camera body. My EM5 Mk ii works well, but i think the extra size and grip would be more beneficial with a lens so substantial. 3. The cost - yeah, it's pretty expensive. But if you're looking for a nice lens or two, then just get this one. This plus a super telephoto zoom lens (or maybe that 300f4!) can take care of most of your needs unless you only work in low light situations such as a wedding photographer.

If you have any of the Black Magic Design Micro four thirds cameras, this focal range 12-100 is hard to get with any other lense. The parfocal F4 is constant throughout the focal range with good contrast and color, works well with Black Magic Design dual ISOs producing excellent results.

So, who doesn't want an optically excellent 8x zoom lens to leave on their micro 4/3s camera all the time? I don't have much to add to what others have said, other than it works great with Panasonic bodies as well. I've used it with my Panasonic G9; by default it works with the lens' image stabilization, which was quite effective. Balances nicely on the larger camera bodies like the G9 and the OM-1.

I expect this lens to be my go to lens for travel. Although a bit heavy, it covers the range for the vast majority of my photo opportunities when traveling. It focuses fast and can work as a macro.

This lens is expensive but is worth the price. Quality optics throughout at all apertures. A premium walk around lens.

I bought the 12-100mm f4 PRO to provide an option to my 12-40 f2.8 and 40-150 f28 PRO lenses when I have weight restrictions. I have used this lens extensively over the past several weeks and it is all that I expected. The focus is fact and the lens reasonably light gathering. My biggest problem will be deciding on my trips which lenses to accompany my EM1MkII, the faster f2.8 lenses or the slightly slower f4 lens. The weight and space difference is great.

Great lens and the video and picture quality is very clean and crisp.
