I don't even know if I could live without this thing anymore. I absolutely love building the little wood fires inside and watching that temp jack up fast. If you get the right wood ( like apple wood ) I have gotten it from 80 degrees to 900 in under 10 minutes. Very well built sturdy, heavy, like the multi fuel option ( bought the attachment for gas ) but have and plan to now only use wood in it. We have found pre cooking the dough for 10-15 seconds, then adding toppings and back in gets you a nice crispy pizza. Love it.

My kids love weird and very unique pizza, and now I can make personal pans for each of them for under the price of one pizza from a delivery place…takes some practice and I’m not quite there yet, but 8 pizzas in - already making delicious pizza

The Ooni Karu 16 is well designed, well built, and came delivered in a sturdy packing box. I've used it a few times using wood and charcoal + wood. The oven heats up to +900 degrees F. TIP: Buy a laser thermometer so you can check that the pizza stone reaches and stays +650 deg, so the crusts will cook at the same time as the toppings. The pizzas are done in less than a couple of minutes, but let it get back up to temp before you load the next one.

Solid, high temp oven. Cooks great pizza fast! I have only used it with the gas burner add on so far. Love it.

Nifty pizza oven. Havent had a chance to use the propane heater setting, only been using wood. A little difficult to keep as hot as I want it. May try to combine the two. Worth the buy if you like making pizza!

I am beyond thrilled with this pizza oven. It is easy to use; the oven gets incredibly hot and cooks the pizza in minutes. We found a great Napoli dough recipe, and we are making pizzas that are just like what we had in Italy. We are using wood for the fuel source.

Awesome pizza oven and the best price we could find (including the mfg. website)! Works well - we also purchased the propane burner, and have only used that fuel source so far. Looking forward to trying the other ones. It's definitely a solid build - very heavy, but should hold up over the years! Nice size to build large pizzas and cook them QUICKLY!! Be ready to have multiple pizzas ready to go as the oven cooks a pie in just a few minutes!

Lovely design and enjoyed using it for about 3 weeks now. no issues whatsoever and am using charcoal and wood..planning to upgrade it to gas later on..And last but not least pizza came out amazingly tasty,

Fantastic item, wish I could also have a second in my condo, but rules don't allow. Easy to use, cooks fantastic! Few first tries were challenging, but got the hang of it on the fourth try. Best to cook the dough alone for 15 seconds before putting ingredients on and toppings, slides easier.

Was tired of the “no fee” delivery where your order somehow adds $50 of “non fees” ? To your order? Including large tip (so they actually pick up your food) So we bought a pizza oven. Got the Ooni Karu 16….multi fuel all the videos show how great it is… It does get really hot and the bigger stone is nice, oven seems well built and makes decent pizza you have to actually cook. But…. It won’t stay lit and it’s rusting after 2 weeks… Customer service was no help trying to explain how rust is “normal” on Stainless steel LOL…real SS doesn’t rust and not in 2 weeks.. Now I have to create a video production of their issues (I’m sure they’re well aware of) to prove the oven has problems… So that’s what you can really expect, spotty operation and eventual rust bucket….but decent pizza…if you wait 40 mins to an hour for it to heat up enough to cook the dough….

The Ooni Karu 16 pizza oven heated up fast and beautifully on a very cold winter day. Pizzas cooked amazingly fast and were delicious. Can't wait to try making bread in it.

The Ooni Karu 16 multifuel pizza oven is excellent for wood, charcoal, or propane fired cooking. I purchased the propane adapter separately. So far, I have cooked pizzas, wings, and steaks. They all turned out great. There is an Ooni app with a few recipes, but there are many Ooni cooking videos to help you with new ideas.

I've been making pizzas in our home electric oven for many years now but was growing tired of the pre-heat and cool-down times. The oven would always heat up the house and was limited to 550F. In Texas during the summer this was never ideal. With that said, the electric oven still made good pizza, but I was waiting 8-10 minutes to cook each pizza. When making 4 pizzas and breadsticks I'm left cooking for an hour while everyone else eats. For those reasons I decided to give Ooni a try. What I like about it: 1) Keeps the heat outside the house. If something burns, I don't have to worry about smoke. 2) Pizzas cook in 2-3 minutes instead of 8-10. 3) The crust will turn to a golden brown with the Ooni, something I struggled to achieve at the best of times with the electric oven due to temperature limitations. 4) Easy to clean, provided you have the cleaning brush. Burnt a pizza on the stone? No problem, just scrape the chunks off and flip the stone over. It will naturally clean itself as you cook in the Ooni over time. 5) Versatility, you can cook proteins, veggies or even breads in this oven given the right fuel and temperature control. What I dislike: 1) Cost & Accessories. You're going to need to dish out more money for accessories on an already expensive pizza oven. You will need a pizza peel, a table to put the Ooni on, and a cleaning brush. A pizza turner is optional but highly recommended. If you want to use propane, you'll have to buy a separate attachment. Want to cover it while not in use? That's another accessory you have to buy. 2) Slightly less forgiving to cook on. Pizzas can stick to the peel if the dough is too moist, or if the peel is not covered with enough flower. This can result in the pizza sticking when launching into the oven and creating a hot smoking mess. You'll learn over time how to dial in the dough moisture to avoid this. Pizzas also need to be turned every 30-45 seconds while cooking depending on how hot the oven is. Note that the display image on the website here shows the oven with the optional pizza door (half glass, half open). This does not come with the oven; it comes with the full glass door.
