In the 90s, when Opeth was doing their death metal sound, I was not much into the band, then, they slowly transitioned into a 70s influenced, albeit modern, prog band. Pale Communion is without a doubt one of their best albums of their prog phase. As far as this specific release goes, it sounds great, and the whole package (cover, insert) is top notch. My only minor wish is that instead of a photo of the band on pub that takes the whole side of the insert, they could have added some liner notes about the recording and the history of the album.
