I waited for a few months for Otterbox to finally produce the Otterbox Defender case for the new IPad mini 6. As a matter of fact, I wouldn't even buy the IPad mini 6 until Otterbox made this case. I only use Otterbox cases. I don't trust other cases to protect a $500 item like an IPad mini 6. It fits perfectly. I love knowing that I can throw it into my backpack, and not worry about damaging it, etc. I also like how they no longer put a built-in screen protector on there. I'd rather put my own on, as the old Otterbox cases were notorious for getting dust and / or moisture stuck between the screen protector and the screen. I am definitely happy with the new Otterbox Defender Pro case for the new IPad mini 6! It will make a nice display for my Mavic Air 2 drone!

Love it, perfect fit, access to all the buttons,superior protection. Only complaint is if you want to have it tilted on the stand, you have to flip it upside down (Pencil side down), only way for it to stand properly. Pencil slot is also a plus to keep it charged when plugged in.

Very good and offers decent protection just like any other otterbox case, the only down side is the stand/cover, it only works with one side of the case, and you destroy the apple pencil gate-thing when using it, and its really annoying

I bought this a few weeks ago to update the case I was using for my iPad. It was time to have some change and I wanted a case that would last through lots of bumps, falls, and sticky fingers (I have kids and they tend to use my iPad). I have to say, this case has done an amazing job. I feel like it is not too bulky of a case. It provides great protection while still looking nice and it is very easy to clean!

I've been an Otterbox Customer since the iPhone 4S was a thing and I've encountered ZERO damage up until today. At work I repair customer mobile devices and when they ask me for case reccommendations it's Otterbox everytime. I'm sad to say that ended yesterday when my Ipad Mini 6 took a small spill off a table at work. This product's first two layers of protection seems to protect from physical damage but third rubber piece fails to protect from the most important aspect. Shock. I'm a technician and I see/repair damaged tech like this on a daily basis. I'm not mad that I broke the ipad screen. I'm mad that I trusted a brand for so many years to protect my products, paid 70 for a piece of plastic with some crappy rubber attached to it that touts "2x the drop protection" And then proceeds to catastrophically fail while I'm in the middle of working with a customer (ironically for a screen replacement). I don't know what is going on with Otterbox but this is completely 100% unacceptable for me and as such I cannot in good conscience continue to promote a brand that misrepresents their product's capability. If I could give this product zero stars I would in a heartbeat.

I always recommend the Otterbox defender if you have kids. whether it's for a smartphone or a tablet this thing comes in handy. it's just that little bit of extra protection .to keep your investment safe.

Poor design and execution. They need better quality control or this design is very poor. The rubber backing is loose and doesn’t fit correct. The pencil tray is very flimsy and for a deluxe case and reputation this is a bad case. I love my other otterbox items but this one was rushed and you can notice it. Hope they see this and improve on the design. Maybe I’ll buy the redesign if it ever comes out.

Very durable. Have dropped this tablet way too many times and it still looks like new.

This broke right away. I am so disappointed as it is an actual otter box and I thought these were supposed to be quality. It wasn’t even treated roughly. Simple management and side snapped. Now I can’t even return.

Day 1 of the Otterbox Defender Pro: my 2 year old that stands 3'2" dropped it (while standing still) and the cover cracked. The iPad didn't get damaged though. Took it away immediately and it became my work iPad. 11 months later: I just cracked the arm that holds the iPad up to view by simply opening it up like I always do. Been using it strictly for viewing a Ring camera in my office. Also it hasn't been dropped since day 1. For the money this cheap flimsy plastic cover they call a "Pro Series Case" is not worth it.

Broke within a month… very poor design with very little protection. Would absolutely not recommend this case.

This case is typical of the other Defender cases that I have had over the years. I have used Otterbox Defender cases on all of my Apple devices for almost twenty years. They do add a bit of size and weight but they seem to protect and they allow a better grip surface for my hands.

OtterBox has been a trusted accessory for my Apple devices since my iPhone 4s. And over 10 years later, they do not disappoint. I got this case for my iPad mini 6 as I like to have some grip to the case for me to read or hold with one hand. Like all OoterBox cases, there is the back plate, front frame and a rubber outer edge. There is also a cut out on the right side to allow for the Apple Pencil to charge. I know for sure that there will be no damage to the iPad if I were to drop it. Now it does not have a screen protector like older cases, so you do have to buy one separately. Overall, very happy with this case.
