My main reason for two stars is the choice of delivery method. The shipping label was put directly on the cooler... there was no box or protection. While I can appreciate avoiding packaging waste, my cooler arrived with several gouges and black marks. Also, there is adhesive residue on the cooler from the tape and packing slip. I don't plan to keep my cooler perfect because it will be used hard, but it would be nice to receive it in new condition. As for the cooler, I have a positive initial impression. The latching mechanism is a bit more involved than a yeti style cooler, but works well. The accessory system actually seems relatively useful, and I appreciate that they include at least a few accessories to get started (tray and bottle opener). I do intend to get a divider, as I think that will be useful. The handles are personal preference. They do take up more space than the rope style handles, but I like the positive connection I have to the cooler when carrying a lot of weight. That's why I focused my search on Cabela's/pelican/OtterBox style coolers. Ultimately it came down to a good sales price. Other than the disappointing shipment, I'm excited to put this cooler to use.

ICE Last Longer then both of my Yeti.... I did buy two of them 25 and 45 and gave my yetis away ... I keep mine 45 in back of my truck on chains

It advertised that it keep on ce for 14 days! It doesn’t but it keep the water Icy cold! One of the best coolers I’ve own!

This is a awesome product from Otterbox. I have never used their phone cases but their coolers are legit. In my opinion it's better than both Yeti or Pelican (I've used both). Quality of materials and design really make this an industry leader. Integrated handles are rock solid. I also bought the waterproof case (works!), cup holder (don't expect it to last long) and divider (worth it!). Purchased on deal of the day so I didn't pay retail price for anything. I precooled mine for my first trip to see how long the ice would last. I intentionally left in the sun to see how it would perform. After five days it still had ice (less than a third of original level). Otterbox advertises 14 days ice retention and I didn't get anywhere near that. Maybe if I didn't leave it in the sun it would have done better. Regardless I never need ice to last 14 days so it doesn't matter. For what I use it for (max 5 or 6 days) it performs perfectly. My only complaints would be: 1. It's heavy, especially once it's packed. Even empty I was surprised how much it weighed (25lbs) 2. It's the midsize version but still big. Handles add 4+ inches of length on both sides. Takes up a significant amount of space in the SUV. 3. Stickers/decals won't stick to it. This made me sad.

Cooler is good, heavy duty material just when i picked it up at bestbuy the product looks used. Picked it up dirty and doesnt look brand new. The cooler got ding on the side and feels they didnt take care while delivering the package.

We received the OtterBox Venture 45-Quart Cooler from Best Buy and this cooler is epic. The inside of the cooler has a ton of room and just looking at it you know it’s durable, It has two latches that lock in contents. If you’re planning on using this camping, you will not have to worry about critters getting in. As a matter of fact, it’s ultra bear resistant and I’m so sure that if the bear met the cooler, I’m betting on the cooler! The accessories complete the experience! The Drybox, cutting board, bottle opener, and tumbler are must-haves!

I doubt I'll ever get to test the ultra bear proof feature of the cooler, but it is great to take out for tailgating and fishing. All the options available make it extremely flexible for nearly any use. Heavy when full. Fits enough for most needs.

I love this thing. Durable, rugged, and ready to take on the elements or even that pesky bear. Ready to hold your drinks, snacks and more it will be perfect for those who travel or camp quite a bit.

The OtterBox Venture Cooler is different from any other cooler I’ve seen. First off, it’s incredibly sturdy. What really stands out about this cooler is the fact that it can be customized to suit your needs. They have separators (sold separately) that are ideal for those who would like to create separate compartments inside of the cooler. You can keep dry and soft items separate using the separator. We took the new Venture 45-Quart Cooler with us on a 1,600-mile road trip to Fargo, ND. You know, to break it in and see how it would work for a family of 4. It let us bring everything we needed to keep cool for our week long trip without needing to restock food, drink or ice! We filled the cooler with two small bags of ice, some chicken salad, apples, lunch meat, oranges, carrots, drinks and more. Even after leaving the cooler in the car for 5 days and opening it several times a day our food and drinks were refrigerator cool.

Yes it's huge. Yes it's kind of heavy. Handles made it easy to carry however, and it kept ice for 5 days up north in 80-90f days. Love the accessories that you can get for it (divider and cutting board are a necessity almost, at least the divider for sure to stop sloshing in the bigger size). Draining and cleaning was very easy and it's holding up like a champ after 2 summers and lots of beating!

This cooler is a great gift idea for the outdoorsman on your holiday shopping list. It's a nice looking cooler, and the fact that it's rated for bear resistance means it's great for campers. I especially love the ridges in the interior that allow you to slide in a separator that works well for keeping your food and drinks separate. I also LOVE the clipping spots on the outside of the cooler that lets you hook cup holders, bottle openers, and clips to the outside of the cooler. I think this cooler is great for tailgating fans too since it looks great and can hold a LOT of drinks!

This cooler is as sturdy and heavy duty as it comes. It does hold ice for a very long time. I was able to get 5 days of ice out of it with regular opening and closing of the lid. One down side is the cooler is very heavy even without anything in it. If you plan to fill it up with ice and drinks then you might need a wagon to lug it around. Be careful if you plan to have bestbuy ship it to you. The cooler was shipped to me without any protection so the cooler got pretty banged up during transportation. I got the white cooler so the damage shows a lot more than it would if I went with a darker color.

I've been looking for a nice cooler that keeps ice longer than 1-2 days other than the Yeti and found this. Love the look and how you can add accessories to it unlike the Yeti. I'm unsure of the white color, but the khaki one was sold out. We'll see how easy it is to keep clean and white. Stay tuned...

We needed a higher end cooler that could be secured in the back of a Jeep Wrangler when the top was off. This fits the bill. Catch it on sale and it’s a great price. Cheaper than Yeti yet every bit as good if not better. Love the ability to attach accessories.

It is for sure worth it's price! It will save money on ice in the long run!!

Probably one of the best coolers on the market. Got it half off on deal of the day. Much better value than the competition Yeti. Only complaint is super heavy and also have to buy wheels separately. Which are as much as the cooler.

Sturdy & heavy. Wish it had wheels, ice lasted for a couple days.

Keeps ice a long time. The sandwich tray is nice and I like the handles better on this cooler than many of the competitors. I definitely recommended getting one of the divider accessories. Solid, well built cooler.
