Great device, as a mother of 2 under 2, this definitely keeps my mind off having to check on my child every 5 seconds. Notifys sound, cry’s and movement, also room temp and baby’s vitals (if connected to the dream sock). I also like that it comes with all the parts to stick on the wall and I’m able to move the camera depending on where I put my baby to rest. Easy to install

We love our owlet camera system. We bought a second one to add to our system since the first one is still going strong! Only thing we have had to replace over 2 years has been the sock sensor which is a given. The old sensor still works but we wanted a new one for our newborn. Highly recommend! Allows us to sleep at night with no worries while the girls are dreaming!

Definitely recommend this cam with the sock for all parents! I’m a huge numbers person, I love being able to see her sleep trends, heart rate, and sp02. My favorite feature is the light vs deep sleep. It helps me feel comfortable to go shower or start a workout if she’s in a deep sleep and I know I have a while before she’s awake from a nap, or in a light sleep at night and may want a binky. Definitely takes away the anxiety of parenting when you have a newborn and are constantly checking their breathing, now the app can update you in real time what their heart rate is and their average SP02. I feel much more relaxed when she sleeps long stretches.

We have been using a different camera to keep tabs on our little on for a while now, but it is a regular indoor camera that is meant more for security than peace of mind. The Owlet Cam 2 not only offers quick and easy setup, but the peace of mind you didn't even know you wanted! The app is very easy to use and walks you through the setup process, including installation of the camera and safe practices for the cords to ensure your little one is safe from hazards like the power cord and the device itself. Included in the box is the charger and cable, mounting bracket, and cable covers to hide the power cable from becoming a danger and an eyesore. The unit comes with everything you need in the box, except a smartphone and young one! The app displays all of the usual items one has come to expect from a home camera, but also includes the temperature and humidity of the area to ensure they are comfortable. The camera is also capable of night vision, two-way voice communication, cry/motion/sound notifications to alert your attention to your young one's needs. I would definitely recommend this for new parents all the way up to older kids, the feature set built in and the fun facts in the app ensure that you will be able to continue using the Owlet Cam 2 well beyond their toddler years!

This camera will currently only work on a 2.4GHz network so be sure you have that available and not only a 5GHz connection, or a dual-band router. This cam is currently not compatible with a 5GHz network. That said, I spent a lot of time with my ISP trying to set up a dedicated 2.4GHz network separately from my main network (which is dual-band). To make matters worse, this information is not printed on the outside of the retail box anywhere, so the setup frustration was magnified because of this. I could get to the point of setup where you need to scan a QR code, but that was where it ends. I couldn’t go any further because my router is dual-band and uses both 2.4 and 5GHz networks. Once you get to the point where you need to scan the QR code in setup, you are supposed to hear a “chime” to move forward. This chime never becomes audible, therefore I cannot get this camera to work properly with my home wifi system. The error code I received is OC01. After a quick Google search, I found an article from Owlet and several remedies to try. I exhausted each and every remedy with no luck. As stated before, I was on a call with my ISP for over an hour setting up a split connection and separate SSID for 2.4GHz only. This still did not work, so I forced my phone to “forget” all networks except the newly setup 2.4GHz connection as a final try. I then factory reset the camera by pressing the little round button on the back for 15 seconds, then retried setup being ONLY connected to the 2.4GHz connection. No luck. Hoping that they can update this (out of box) to be compatible with a firmware update to save some people a lot of time and effort.

Set up was unbelievably easy. High quality camera and it shows temp of the room and baby stats. We are really excited to use it when little man arrives. I always have my phone on me, and it is nice that it when I close the camera view, I still have access to the sound in the background.

The instructions were easy to understand. Super easy to install. The set up was simple and has a good user interface on the app. Good quality in the app creation. The app notifies for movement and sound, we can be a lot for a fussy baby. The cord protectors are very important for safety. That is very intuitive for setup and thinking ahead so that lose cords don’t get tied up or prevent a hazard for the baby. The good part is you can set the sensitivity level. It even tells you the temperature of the room and if it’s ok for baby. Preference is a cloud based video log for the ability to review video with the alerts vs. only the live feed option. The camera is very clear and can be zoomed in when on the app. Depending on the lightening and how far you zoom with determine the video quality. We really like this wifi baby monitor. You can’t go wrong with this baby monitor, trust me. All in all great product. Pros definitely outweigh the cons on this baby owlet cam and I believe the sock is a hood option also.

Better the. Others we’ve tried still getting used to it but better than the subscription service required products we were stuck with initially. It can be screwed into the drywall over the crib so you can get an overhead view of your child

We have used this unit for six months. If you have a weak wifi connection, it will not work well. However, if you get a range extender or have good wifi in all areas of your house (i.e. the baby's room), it should work great. The second potential issue I noticed was the temperature sensor being a bit off. My experience could be partly due to the fact that I have hardwood floors and a cold winter. I think better/more accurate results could be achieved by mounting the sensor to the middle of the wall in the room right above the baby. (given that hot air rises etc.) Additionally, if you and your spouse both log in to the camera, it will sometimes stop working on the phone that was initially connected. The camera quality is very good, and the app has a few settings/buttons to adjust and work through. Owlet could improve this unit by adding a separate handheld unit in addition to smartphone connectivity. I recommend this if you have good WiFi and are willing to mount the temperature sensor for an accurate reading.

Awesome product. Enjoyed original so much that when Owlet released the version that saved video clips, absolutely had to make the upgrade. Pregnant with baby #2 and definitely looking forward to purchasing again!

Not the most clear resolution but the app makes up for this, the ability for the camera to open without interrupting audio is golden, very good.

Love the visual quality and it gives me a peace of mind connected to the owlet sock. Perfect duo for sure for a new mom or a mom that worries a lot

This is my 2nd purchase of the Owlet Cam 2. Our 1st one is overlooking the crib in the nursery. We had to get one for our bedroom where our baby sleeps in a bassinet sometimes. Most of the time, when the Owlet works, it’s a smooth operation. My only problem with it is that the wifi connectivity for the Owlet drops sometimes and it can be hard to get it connected again. When that happens, it can be stressful as we need this to ensure the baby’s safety

This overall is a great camera. The noise detection is spot on but it captures cars passing near by so it blows up my notifications even after I turned it down in settings. I love the cable guards, it gives a clean seamless look. The magnetic base is amazing and so easy to set up. I tend to forget my phone and it’s not with me all the time. I set it down and forget. For me there was always a lag like 20-30 sec when pulling up the app and even if it is already open in the background could be the internet regardless didn’t work for me. I will return and purchase a camera with a monitor that way I will have to have it with me and on 24/7.

The camera quality it great, but it kills your phones battery pretty fast.
