I’ve had the microwave for a month. It heats up quickly and is easy to use with the twist of the knob. I didn’t realize there’s no other way to set time besides turning the knob, that’s kind of annoying to keep turning when you need a lot of cook time. However, I haven’t read the manual so maybe there is another way to add time lol. It is huge and takes up a lot of space. But the performance and look gets 5 stars!

REALLY LARGE MICROWAVE. LOVELY. I KNEW PRIOR TO BUYING THAT I WAS NOT GOING TO PURCHASE ANY MICROWAVE BELOW 1100 WATTS SO THAT SLIMMED MY PICKINGS DOWN TO ONLY 2 OPTIONS BUT THIS IS A GREAAAAAT MIC. ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND. THE INSIDE IS HUGE

Very nice microwave, very big and heats my food perfectly! I really enjoy the button to twist, it’s fun. Additionally, fairly quiet (for a microwave) for you late night snackers

Great product I fell in love with the product at my job we been using it for years always delivers, gets food warm very quickly and effectively. That’s why when my house microwave stops working it was no brainer I knew what I want automatically. And the child lock feature is genius not only making food warm but also keeping the youngsters safe as well.

Panasonic has always been a good appliance and lasted a long time. This is why I choose the brand. It works very well and the current model is high quality and dependable.

Microwave is beautiful, easy to clean and control buttons are ergonomically placed , the main start button is great,I can use it to increase time and start it too. Display is easy to read from a distance but a little too bright. Great microwave features and easy to operate. I actually now use this microwave everyday

I usually buy Samsung appliances but after having a noisy and unbalanced microwave I decided to look at a slightly smaller one. This one is so well made, I love the rolling dial (instead of having to listen to all the beeping when entering the cooking time, etc.) and it is very quiet. My concern with a slightly smaller interior turned out to not be an issue as everything I put in the Samsung fits. Great purchase!

Excellente microwave Easy to clean Nice and beautiful Matched my appliances

I purchased this in 2023 and it worked great! Loved the color and the dial and child locks. HOWEVER about a year later and there is rust in it. I wipe it down. I clean it. But it is in the crevises i cant clean. Today it made a zap sound and i saw a spark on the food. I will be buying a new microwave

Bought a new Panasonic microwave as my previous Panasonic served me well for over 20 years so far the new one is working flawlessly. Hoping for another 20 out it.

Smaller than the behemoth i had on my cohnter before but the 1100 watt power makes up for what it lacks in size

It seems that Panasonic's standars and quality control has dropped to an unprecedented new low. The microwave that I received was intact, but there was massive fitting issue. The metal case cover simply did not fit well at all -- a large gap on one side. It was not bent or anything, so it was likely a manufacturing problem. Attached are some pics depicting the problem. Cannot evaluate the performance, features, and functionality since I barely got the unit. But if that major fitting issue is a harbinger of things to come and overall quality of the Microwave, I am not very optimistic about its quality, durability and reliability. On a side note, BestBye did a great job in addressing the problem. They shipped other unit the next day to my door and will eventually pick up the problematic unit.

I bought this microwave because I was looking for a powerful one and I prefer physical dials and buttons.It was great in the beginning but less than a year old and the interior is rusted on the carousel plate, poor ventilation when cooking probably causes the rust have to constantly dry the microwave after each use . I will be contacting customer service

We needed a replacement microwave as we decided to get rid of our problematic over the range and install a proper hood vent for cooking. Unboxing: The microwave came well packed surrounded by a Styrofoam frame and inside was the microwave, glass turntable, and instruction manual. The microwave itself is surprisingly heavy, and although smaller than above the range mounted one it’s almost the same weight. Appearances: The stainless and front looks really nice, it is a fingerprint magnet but cleans up very easily. I do wish the labeling for the buttons and controls were a little larger as it’s hard to read and impossible to make out if the room is dark. Our old microwave had a black background with white lettering and we never had issues being able to read them. The interior is grey almost a “battleship grey” and definitely different from the white interiors I’m used to seeing. It does hide dirt and spatters a lot better “not sure if that’s a plus :) “. And the interior light due to the interior color isn’t very bright but does work. Using: Now for actual use, this microwave works great, it cooks a good bit faster than our old one that’s also rated the same wattage. I was very surprised when we put a frozen burrito in and using the same amount of time it over cooked and split open “oops”. We’ve boiled water, reheated meals, heated up frozen dinners, cooked a pot pie “took a full minute less than the old one to cook” and cooked up some bacon on our microwave bacon cooker “also took less time to cook and easily over cooked using the same amount of time as our old one”. Heating was very even, it was a lot better at that than our old one also. Final Thoughts: The time dial is a nice touch, it’s super simple to spin it and enter the time and pressing in on it starts the cooking cycle, and overall we really like how well this microwave cooks. Now this one doesn’t have a rack inside like our older one “but we never used that anyway” and really like that “while large” this is not nearly as large as the over the range one. It makes about the same amount of noise “maybe a little less than the old one so no surprises there. The only other thing that we have to remember is when opening the door you have to push close to center on the opening button/release it doesn’t do anything if you push close to either edge of it “almost feels like it could break” but we are careful about pushing on the center of it. Overall this is a great microwave with just a couple small complaints, it doesn’t affect the cooking/heating ability at all and it easily outperforms our older, more expensive, over the range model. So if you are looking for a really good countertop microwave you should really consider spending the extra and get this Panasonic unit.

I’ve never been one to give a lot of thought pertaining to microwave operation, just something I’d taken for granted. I believed they all shared the same basic control modes, i.e. tap the number of minutes and seconds on the number input pad, hit start and wait for the ding. Upon receipt of this unit (after an original shipping snafu that Panasonic expertly and hastily resolved) I have to admit feeling momentarily bewildered as I went to type in a minute and a half for my burrito heat time, only to realize there is no numeric entry pad. Instead cooking times are input via rotary dial. Despite the control scheme being radically different from what I was accustomed to, I was able to overcome the modest learning curve and re-train muscle memory to operate it as quickly, sometimes more so, than our conventional microwave oven. Comparing this new unit with our existing above-range GE microwave, I find foods in the Panasonic NN-SD96LS heat much more quickly and evenly. My family also note that it operates much more quietly than the traditional unit. Without doubt the unique feature most surprising is the “Steam sensor”. It modulates both the cooking time and power, based on the amount of steam and moisture produced by the cooking foods. I've deducted ½ star for "Sensory Cooking". it is a very cool feature in theory, i was unfortunately unable to get 100% consistent results (albeit, following weeks i'm sure i'll fine tune which foods need more/less time). The other ½ deduction is for the slight learning curve and time imprecision to make the transition to rotary dial.
