Wow...what an amazing and versatile hybrid Stills / 4K Movie Monster, and boasting a 1" sensor and 20x zoom. This large gem does it all and does it all well. I especially like the way Panasonic implements 4K - not only in its extensive video modes, but also in the way it pulls 8mp stills from the video frames, also focus stacking, and the unique post-focus mode. There's a lot to learn and like about this camera. More things to like than not. One caveat - if you're looking for a compact shooter, this one is not the one for you. The FZ2500 is large and heavy. Make sure you test it out, if you can, before buying.

I bought this camera because its Panasonics flagship power zoom camera. It will reach up to 480 mm and has a one inch chip inside. The pictures and 4k video and low light performance will rival a SLR. I am happy with the 4K video and beautiful pictures it can take.

It's comfortable to use. Frederick, as always did a fine job explaining the workings and features. I am especially attracted to the zoom range eliminating the need to carry lenses.

Purchased 6/2018. I always buy the Best Buy extended warranty, but this time I took a pass because Panasonic offered a free 3 year extended warranty. Camera does take great photos. I use it for product photography, and it's always been well cared for. Looks flawless, but I just noticed an internal crack on the lens. As this was 1 month after the standard Panasonic one year warranty had expired, Panasonic referred me to Lumix. Apparently the extended warranty is a separate entity. Well, I have now contacted Lumix via email 3 times in the past month, with not one reply. I have both phoned and had 2 live chats with Panasonic, and they keep referring me back to Lumix. I am told there is no phone number for Lumix, so I'm at their mercy. So, what good is a "free" extended warranty if you can't get anyone to respond to your issue? I spent $1,000 on this camera, and the lens is cracked internally. Not due to anything I did. I can only assume it's from zooming in and out, as research shows me this can be an issue on other cameras. Regardless of what the cause is, the fact that I have not received any reply from Panasonic after numerous attempts is unconscionable. I have two other Lumix cameras, but this experience has soured me for life. Never again Panasonic. Not only for a camera, but for anything they manufacture.

It is kind of a monster to figure out to start. But as in anything the more you use it the easier it gets. Has exceptional picture and video capabilities. The 4k video is why I bought it and I have not been let down. I feel it is the best bridge camera built by a reputable company
