One of the best MFT lenses for the price range

Upgraded my Panasonic GH4 with this lens from the kit lens. For wildlife photography this lens has been an excellent addition to my kit. It’s extremely sharp for what I need and I’m able to get very good background separation from the subject. Compared to my aps-c counterpart this lens packs, a greater punch in a smaller package. I purchased this lens on sale for $250 and it has completely blown away my expectations.

Good lens for the price

This lens is an excellent value in my opinion. I recently shot photos exclusively with this lens and my Panasonic Lumix G7, in Maui. I was impressed with the sharpness and color captured in my pictures. I primarily shoot landscape pictures, so I was concerned about the lack of weather sealing on this lens. I am happy to say I had no issues while shooting in tropical environments and on the beach!

Excellent Lens Coupled With The GH4

I originally purchased the economical 50-150 lens. After noticing the shaky image because of the lacking image stabilization feature, I attempted to purchase a higher grade model. I received a bootleg lens from third parties e-auction sites, and, spotting two wild in the street. Counterfeiting glass is a big market, do yourself a favor; buy the good lens, in-store, at a place like BestBuy, so you don't blow up your camera. The image quality on the genuine lens is far superior from the counterfeit rendition which is so precious users may not know they have a fake! I am happy I decided to purchase this lens and would recommend it to a friend for all around shooting on the run.

By far my favorite lens to capture photos with, especially portraits. The quality is amazing for the price point. Haven’t gone back to the kit lens (14-42mm) since purchasing this one.

Inexpensive, easy to use lens

The lens is inexpensive and very easy to use. The zoom feature is manual, but the focus is automatic. I paired it with my Olympus E-M10iii. I might have purchased the M. Zuiko version, but when I went to Best Buy, they had the Lumix instead. It works just fine. It comes with a lens hood. The metadata does not record the type of lens, as it would if this were an M. Zuiko, but it captures the other data, including the focal length.

The Panasonic Lumix G Vario 45-150mm lens is an outstanding addition to any Micro Four Thirds setup. It’s lightweight, compact, and delivers sharp, detailed images across the zoom range. The Mega O.I.S. stabilization works great, even at full zoom, making handheld shots much easier. Autofocus is fast and quiet, perfect for both photography and video work. Build quality feels solid without adding much weight to my kit. For the price, it’s an incredible value — highly recommended for anyone needing a versatile, travel-friendly telephoto lens!

Good Lens. Great Bargain

This lens works well with my Panasonic micro four thirds camera. The zoom is smooth, it focuses well and fast, it's not large or heavy, it's made of metal (not plastic), and it's less than $200. My only ding on it is that even though it has a manual focus ring, that ring doesn't actually move the lens. It just tells the camera to change its focus settings. It works, but it's not what I expected.

A lot of lens for the price

When purchasing the Lumix G85 that came equipped with a very good 12-60 lens, I decided we would need a lens with more zoom capabilities. The Lumix Vario 45-150 telephoto lens happened to be on sale for $149 at the time so I added that to the camera purchase. I am glad I did! The lens is extremely light and well made. Attaching it to the G85 is simple and fast and the quality of the photos is fantastic. The zoom ring is easy to yet precise and since it is a Vario lens auto focusing works just as well as the 12-60 lens. It also has manual focus if needed via another smooth ring on the lens and has an anti-shake mechanism that works in addition to the built in feature of the G85 itself. The photos are crisp and not grainy even at maximum zoom range. This is a great addition to a great camera.

A super quiet and super smooth zoom lense. Auto focus works great. It does not have to hunt for its focus. All the gears are super quiet so it you did decide to use this to record video using the built in camera microphone, you will not pick up an noise from this lens.

Great Camera

I initially bought the Panasonic G7 which was a good camera, but I wanted something that could do both video and pictures well. I traded in the G7 for the Gx85 and let me tell you, it is a great camera. In body stabilization for video and more stable pictures. Form factor is great as it is small and can fit anywhere with the small pancake lens attached. I recently took it on a 3-week vacation across the Yucatan Peninsula and captured some great pictures and video. Highly recommend it.

Great buy esp at this price point

Love it, esp at the price. While this isn't a 1K lens, sure, it is great for the amateur photographer. Very clear pictures. Light weight. One con - the lencap and filter is smaller, so if you switch lenses a lot you could end up w/ two lens caps hanging from your strap.

Good quality camera lens for your lumix G series camera. Good to have just in case you need to get that middle range between close and far. If your looking to capture shots from close to mid far range it helps to have this in your arsenal.

Reliable zoom lens with stabilization

I found an open box instance of this lens available for a good price. It came with all accessories expected. The lens was in excellent condition. It is not the fastest lens out there, but very compact; good to take on travel. The zoom range is what one would expect for an economical zoom lens, and complements a kit 14-42 nicely.

Great lens for the price!

I recently switched to a micro four thirds system from the canon Sl2. The g85 I have is great the kit lens goes the throw that I wanted my canon kit lens to go to. The lenses are well built and rugged feeling. Also the image stabilization in the lens is useful for handheld photo/video projects. The focal range on the new lens is great for what I’ve been trying to do with the camera. Would definitely grab it again if it were to break. 100% want to grab a pancake lens as well.
