The focus is pretty good. Image performance in low light and higher shutter speeds is decent too! Basically just go for it and you would not be disappointed!

For beginners it is definitely one of the best choices. Lumix USA youtube channel has a lot of videos/live streams covering all the details about the camera, really helpful to get you started. 3rd Party lens support is getting bigger, although buying used lens for L mount currently not that big of an option. For Holiday season'23 Lumix is offering $400 when you buy Lumix S series lens with camera. I got Lumix S-50 mm for free.

It takes amazing pictures and video!! Can’ complain at all!!! Was going to buy the S5 but I really wanted PDAF as it helps in low light and high contrasty situations (which I shoot a lot in). This camera is amazing. I mostly use it for photography and some video and I love the L Mount lenses! Overall, super happy with this camera! It makes all the difference in my pictures compared to my G9.

What can I say...this completes my videography journey. I have been using Panasonic s5 with all the positive respect except for autofocus. I could have switched to other systems like Sony or Canon, but my affinity on Panasonic in the aspect of ergonomics, menu, color, etc couldn't be replaced. So now this autofocus is just plainly working with L mount and with EF mount lenses with 2 adapters that I own, Sigma and Fotodiox. Can't be happier.

A perfect hybrid mirrorless camera. The ability to shoot proRes(with an ssd) is great and the picture quality is no slouch either! Good for video projects and photography!
