It’s great to see a movie like this... for me as a Jesus Christ follower I have two prophets I would sure love to talk to one day, as far as the Old Testament goes Moses was the one that got my admiration. As far as the New Testament goes, Saul of Tarsus or better known as Apostle Paul sure did grab all my attention when reading The Bible. This man was known for chasing the Church and killing believers of the New Good News. On his way thru the desert he loses his eyesight and thats when the Lord has a plan for Him. Thats how beautiful God is, even though he killed believers, He did not take those sins into consideration. He forgave him and blessed him with scriptures and the Holy Spirit, Amen. In this movie we see a lot of when he was in jail and writing the Holy Scriptures. I love the last scene though, when he dies, there is a Man, who is Holy, waiting for him on the mountain top, right there at that scene I just let a big shout get out of me, thats who I’m waiting for, THAT MAN RIGHT THERE, THATS WHO I’M WAITING FOR, AMEN... LOVE HIM MORE THAN MY LIFE ITSELF... my family told me to be quiet because it was around midnight and the neighbors might get upset hahaha. It is really emotional what this man did and because of him we have the scriptures today In Jesus Name Amen...

I was actually surprised that a film like this would be made today (in Hollywood) and then released to the public. Remember that blaspheming God is a necessity in today's declining American culture while a film like this one does just the opposite. This film is both triggering and politically (non) correct. Hmmmm.

Very well done film based on the Apostle Paul's life. Could be seen as a bit depressing or dark for a Bible movie - but this is what makes this a work of art, more than just a quick money grab from religious people.

Strong performances in an inspirational story of the former murderer and critic who witnesses a life-changing encounter and becomes the noted apostle.

The story finds the Apostle in prison in Rome and being visited by his friend Luke. The Christians in Rome are beginning to experience persecution and have to decide how to respond.

Paul, Apostle of Christ [Blu-ray/DVD] [2018] This was an excellent production - glad we got it. We really enjoyed it.

I mention the story line and plot a bit, so stop reading this review if you consider that information spoiler info. = = = = = = = The movie wasn't what I expected, It is about Paul's later life in prison and not a biography. Although about Paul's later life, some earlier events in Paul's life are acted out from his memories. I enjoyed the movie, but my wife expected more, so I rated it 4 stars (3 for her, 5 for me). I don't think it was 100% accurate according to the Bible, but I don't think it contradicted the Bible, if that makes sense. Example, certain comments were attributed to people different from the person the Bible attributed them to. One main part of the story is the relationship between Luke (author of Acts) and Paul. Another story line is Christians situation in Rome during the time of Paul's imprisonment. I thought the movie was thought provoking and had a good Christian message.

I love this movie. Very moving. I recommend this movie.

Paul is responsible for nearly 70 % of the gospels from the New Testament. This film present how this happened specially when he was in prison. Lucas (Jim Cavizel) writes these gospels and he visited Paul while prisioner to get his testimonies. The film has a very slow pace something that could have being better.
