Get rid of that neck strap and upgrade to Capture!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was tired of having my DSLR hanging from my neck and decided enough was enough, so I took the plunge and got me a Capture. I am so happy I did! I love the ease of use, having the weight off my neck and I coupled it with the Clutch version 3 and couldn't be happier.

A camera always where and when you need it

Game changer. I use Olympus MFT bodies, so my cameras are relatively small and light. With the PRO Pad, I can drop a camera on my hip whenever I want to, wherever I'm walking. Or with the longer screws provided, I can put it on most backpack straps. Among other things, it makes it ridiculously easy for me to wear it for things like fat biking which gives me winter shots that I could not get otherwise; I literally don't even notice that it's attached as I'm riding. And being able to quickly drop it directly on to a monopod or tripod increases the versatility. Many years ago, a top professional told me that the best camera lens was what you had on you when the shot presented itself. The corollary to that is the worst is the one you don't have. This solves that problem under a huge number of circumstances.

    Capture Clip

the capture clip is an amazing product thanks beautifully designed to work for SLR cameras. I bought it just before our trip to Portugal and Morocco and it has been simply amazing. We walked almost 8 to 10 kms everyday exploring the cities and the capture clip helped me to carry my carry my camera effortlessly while allowing me to capture magical moments and sceneries with ease. Thank you!!!

    Very good attachment- works well

Bought this six months ago, used on multiple hiking trips and on two long distance international hiking trips. Works well with a mirrorless DLSR with large zoom lens. Two areas for improvement (1) can be difficult to disengage the camera - the release is often a challenge to reach then engage (can bind if misaligned even slightly). (2) essential to remove camera from the Capture device prior to removing pack.

The item that started it all!

This is the item that started it all for me. I now own 4 bags, packing tools, and their strap lite. This item certainly transformed how I carry my camera during hikes or trips. I can easily attach it on my backpacks, slings, or straps to quickly access my camera and comfortably walk with it for hours. My downsides to this is that the tightening screws can slightly loosen with time. I haven't had an accident yet, but it does ding my confidence a tad. I also wish I can sacrifice the four-direction capture point for a smaller clip.

    Great gear

This is a great gear to get fast access to your camera. I really love this clip and its function. I already used it on a hiking trip. The camera can be mounted very safe and quick to this clip. You don't have to put down your backpack and take out the camera and put it back afterwards. You can safe a lot of time. The clip is very robust and has a very good quality. Definitely worth to buy. All thumbs up!

    Stay in Focus

This little piece of gear has completely streamlined my workflow. I am an avid backpacker, putting in my 10,000 hours to learn photography. The ability to quickly snap a photo and be back on the trail in seconds is a dream. I love this piece so much, I bought a second clip for my daypack. What are you waiting for?!?

    Solid build quality and reliable!

I bought this for my Everest Base Camp trek and I was impressed with the build quality and how durable it was! As the pictures were taken from a distance during my trek, I had to crop them to focus on how I used it.

    Capture - great product

Love my “Capture” clip to safely hold my camera in place. The longer screws are really helpful for my bulky backpack straps.

    Great bit of kit!

I have a couple of capture clips (and need one more). They're SO good. Well made and strong. It has no issue holding my pro camera with a big lens on it. It's great when hiking no to have the heavy camera hanging around my neck. One Capture Clip is attached to my backpack shoulder strap. I simply clip the camera into it and the weight is taken off my neck. I also have the base plate to suit my tripod head so I can take the camera off the clip and put it straight onto my tripod. It's a great accessory. Thats why I have a couple of them.
