Expensive but works great

Quite expensive for what it is - but helpful if you’re stuck to a specific tripod head. Installation is fairly painless and it allows you to keep the nice form factor/weight of the tripod. The major downside is that you’re obviously losing the size that makes this tripod so desirable. It almost feels awkward to use a 3rd party head on the tripod - as you won’t be using a PD plate for mounting AND you cannot use the mobile mount without their head. 4 stars due to the cost and obvious loss of certain functions. Yet - it can be perfect for the type of people that don’t use many other PD products.

It works great on my tripod. We’re doing large scale, panoramas and using a gimbal mount to support 200 to 500 mm lens for astrophotography

Not necessary but I don’t really like the ball head that came with the tripod. so i bought this. good quality and easy to install.
