Pennywise: The Story of It Collector's Edition - BLU-RAY

[Employee of bestbuy] Great classic, had to get the collectors edition! Already own it in digital but a hard copy never hurt nobody

This is long overdue. If you watched Stephen King’s It live on television in the fall of 1990 like I (and my entire family) did, then you remember what an all-out event it was. The hype leading up to it was impressive even by today’s standards. While it isn’t a perfect adaptation, those two nights of television had me utterly enrapt; I’d already read the book by that tender age (eleven) and had dug much further into the King bibliography. Not only did the miniseries cement those that were already fans, by and large, but it turned a massive new audience of impressionable youth on to the Master of the Macabre. So, yeah…it’s deserving of a deep dive in spite of all its flaws. A deep dive is exactly what Pennywise: The Story of It is. It’s equal parts reminiscence and making-of metered.

With hours of never-before-seen behind the scenes footage and exclusive photos ‘Pennywise’ will be the ultimate celebration of this much loved classic and will also be a lasting tribute to the remarkable work of the one of cinema’s greatest character actors Mr. Tim Curry

Great documentary about the making of the tv special that mostly goes over things that excessive fans already know. That said, it's still a good time. Go ahead and reach for it on the shelf or in the sewer opening.

the original movie is legendary in the horror genre and the remakes are modern classics. I could not wait to acquire this documentary. I've always wanted to know more about this movie and character since I was a kid.
