Took about a month for my cat to get used to it. Playing with her and placing it in her old litter box space helped her familiarize with it. I kept my old litter box in my room and I hated coming home to the smell. Now there’s rarely any smell at all. Optional to keep up with the add ons for the full lavish experience, (will need the trash bags though). And the scent bar thingy that goes in the trash bin is what helps conceal the smell. It is pretty large but not heavy. Will need both an outlet and WiFi. I appreciate my new litter box so much. I saved up for a while to afford this and as someone who hates scooping litter and has trouble scooping twice a day, this is perfect for me. Genuinely has made my days easier.

It's been a couple of months, and I'm seriously impressed by the Petkit Puramax self cleaning litter box. It's totally eliminated the gross smells that come with traditional litter boxes, which is a huge win for me since I've got cat allergies. Cleaning is a total cinch. Just pull out the drawer, swap out the bag, and you're good to go.It even self-deodorizes after each use. The PuraMax system even has a light for low-light situations. I'm hooked! My house smells incredible, and I'm never going back to a traditional litter box!

I was incredibly hesitant to spend this kind of money on a litter box, but I am SO glad I did. It is going great. It's so much nicer to simply pull the drawstring garbage bag out and toss it when it's time to empty the waste bin. Odors have not been a problem. I did switched to Fresh Step clumping litter based on other reviews I saw. I haven't had any issues with urine leaking or the cleaning cycle not being successful. I typically wipe down the interior with an antibacterial wipe when I empty the waste bin. It probably helps that 2 of our 3 cats are younger kittens and quickly adapted. Our adult cat got on board once it was too cold to go potty outside.

It is fairly quiet, simple to use and clean, low height is good for my older cats… overall it is good. I have two for my three cats.
