A: Well, if you have Alexa, you can turn your system on and off verbally... Alexa, turn of "my bedroom. If you just have Hue, you can turn lights off and on with your cell.
Q: Does this work in multiple rooms or do you need a bridge for each room?
A: One hub will control up to about 60 bulbs. You can group them any way you want throughout your house.
Q: Can this be connected to google home and alexa at the same time?
A: Yes they can.
A: The Philips Hue White bulbs that comes with the starter kit works with 220V even though they are rated for 110V. But the Hue LUX Bulbs (multi-color ones) don't work with 220V.
Q: What Philips Hue Bridge is included with this starter kit (1st Gen or 2nd Gen)?
A: The four bulb starter kit I bought comes with the 2nd generation Hue Bridge
A: Keep in mind that they can only be controlled remotely if the house has an active internet connection. If she suspends her internet during the winter when away then she would not have access to turn them on/off.
Q: Do I need to buy a WiFi plug as welll
A: If you purchase the starter kit, it comes with everything you would need. The light bulbs and the network hub as well are what is included with the starter kit.
Q: The HUB need to be connected (wired) to the router permanently or during installation only?
A: The hub isn't WiFi capable so it needs to be wired into to your network.
