I cant believe how cheap this bulb is for what it does. I'm one of those people sensitive to bright lights and this bulb keeps things under control. I can dim it as much as I need depending what I'm doing. I'm planning on getting them all over the house. You dont need a Google Home speaker you can use your phone to control it and if the internet goes out you can still use it like a regular bulb. You do need a bridge which is like a router that links all smart devices to your phone through an internet connection.

In general I'm happy with my philips hue lights. I like how I can set different percentage of the light intensity for the scenes I need, like watch a movie at night and do not be in complete dark. I like also how I can set schedules for the lights to turn on or off, and of course that it's HomeKit enable. Also, how is friendly with other smart items as nest, or Alexa. The thing that bothers me is that sometimes, they turn on by themself this is not frequently but still is annoying. Other than that I like them.

We got our first Smart LED bulb when we bought our Echo Plus. Having this bulb that we can turn on and off just by telling Alexa a command is pure luxury. It's so handy when you're watching a movie and need to have light on the controls, etc. It's been a fun and functional gift.

Never buying anything else other than Hue. It helped in cutting down needing more lighting in rooms. Works beautifully with Apple home app and Alexa

I use these bulbs all throughout my home and they all work beautifilly. What a relief to be able to control the lights in my house.I have purchased these bulbs at different times over the past few months and no problems at all. And, they are a bit thicker and heavier than regular bulbs. My friend has them too and said that if they fall they do not break and burst into a million pieces and slivers all over the floor. That is what also and really, makes these bulbs worth the money and investment.

I've tried other brands and they are unstable, unreliable, and difficult to use for both of these reasons. The first Philips bulb I installed in a lamp was simply an extremely pleasurable experience. Not one hiccup. Worked exactly as expected, and continues to work perfectly after a solid year. I have 9 bulbs and one strip in my home because of this perfect experience. I love the lights! You will too!

I bought the Hue kit with a hub and 2 bulbs. Bulbs have a warm white color and I'd prefer a cool white. Got this hoping to be able to set up routines for my front outside lights and back light to come on and off at set times. Still working on that. It's not as easy as it seems. I'm still trying to figure it out. It's easy to control the lights with the phone app.

I love being able to control my lights with an app. I also got the motion sensor to give an added level of control. Now my lights come on automatically when I arrive home in the evening.

The quality of the bulbs are great. They give a decent light also with the dim. 800 lumens so far are good enough around the house and compare with other brands the price is fair enough. We are installing them in all the house. The application is very friendly also to the people that doesn't has computer skills. The color lights look beautiful and decorate according to the holidays.

I have purchased three Philips Hue A19 Smart Light bulbs so far and have been using them for several months now. The Phillips Hue starter kit is necessary to purchase prior to individual light bulbs; however, it is easy to add light bulbs to your system. The Philips Hue app is easy to navigate and gives you a variety of options when customizing your lights. I have been very happy with the light bulbs and have had no problems thus far. The best features of these lights for me has been the ability to dim the lights and to turn on and off the lights using my mobile device. This is an excellent product and one that I would recommend to family.

I purchased 3 of these light bulbs for outdoor use. The setup was easy in addition to setting up the Hue bridge hub. I am able to control these lights from the HUE app on my phone. I can turn them off/on dim them as I a please. They work well with my nest app where is it recognizes me home/away and will turn on/off during sunset/sunrise. I will be purchasing more for indoor as well.

Philips Hue bulbs are the most reliable WiFi smart bulbs out there. They're controllable with apps from Philips (Hue), Apple (Home), Crossfire Designs (iConnectHue), Elgato (Eve) and iDevices. They're bright, dimmable, and programmable for off and on by time and sunset/sunrise event using any of these apps. If you don't need programmable color, they're relatively cheap too. Philips' 2nd generation bridge gives you voice control with Apple's Siri and Amazon's Alexa. Youy may experience early shutoff in Apple Home or Crossfire's iConnectHue, but using new automation in iConnectHue's latest update should alleviate this. Highly recommended to make it look like someone is always home.

I love these light bulbs. I love how you can dim and make the lights brighter (though the app). I also like how you can program the lights to come on at a certain time and shut off at a certain time (with the help of IFTT). It was very easy to figure out. Rarely loses connection. Expensive, but I think it's worth it. I've only been using it for 2 months, but so far am very pleased with it.

Bulbs work great and are bright. Not quite daylight white level but they are good. Works great with the system and easy to integrate. One word of caution, Best Buy policy is that there are no returns once they are open. I had one go bad within a day. To Best Buy's credit they did an exchange because it was obvious it was new. You may want to buy the extended warranty just in case you do not have a customer service manager as good as the one that attended me. I have 5 bulbs working for over a month without anymore issues. You can decide if the extra money for the extended warranty is worth it.

This bulb is easy to get working with an existing Hue setup -- just screw it into a socket, turn it on, and check the Hue app. The bulb has a decent range of brightness, and it goes smoothly from dim to bright. I'd like to see it get a bit dimmer, and be warmer when dimmed, but overall it's a great bulb. Note that you need a Hue Hub or a Hue Dimmer to use this bulb.

These lights are absolutely amazing. While they are expensive, you only live once. What better way to live your life than to never have to get up from bed to turn the lights off, turn all of the lights off when you're about to watch a movie, or turn certain lights on via Siri or OK Google when you're hands are tied, all while conserving energy with the energy-efficient LED bulbs. These are amazing. Once you have them, you'll realize what a great investment that they were and how you couldn't imagine your life without them.

This is the 1st smart light I ever owned, I had to buy a Hue bridge to make it work so I bought the starter kit with the Bridge , power supply & 2 more bulbs on a best buy sale! I had it set up in about 15 min. I also linked them with my Amazon echo dot so I can dim them, turn them on & off etc. from my couch with just the sound of my voice. You can connect up to 50 bulbs to the bridge. I am waiting for a sale on more bulbs so I can add to my smart hub. its my start to a "smart home".
