Just added the Philips Hue Bridge Pro to my setup, and it’s honestly a noticeable upgrade from the regular Hue Bridge. Everything responds faster — lights, scenes, automations — and the whole system just feels snappier. Pairing my existing bulbs and accessories was super easy, and I like that it supports way more devices, so I don’t have to worry about hitting limits as I expand. The new MotionAware features are pretty cool too; the lights react more naturally when I walk through the house. I also appreciate that it’s wireless now, so I could place it wherever I actually wanted it instead of being stuck near my router. Only downside so far is the price — it’s definitely not cheap — but considering how much smoother my smart lighting feels, I’m glad I upgraded. If you’re already deep into the Hue ecosystem, this feels like the “real” hub it should’ve had from the start.

I’ve already gone through 2 hue bridge pros. The 1st I bought as soon as it was available. Migration from V2 to pro was easy, but after a month the pro stopped working properly. I exchanged for another in January. Ridiculous that the pro bridge cannot migrate to another pro bridge, makes no sense. I had to setup all the bulbs and all the switches and took all day. Now this 2nd pro bridge is flashing red. Called Philips support and was basically told to unplug for an hour to see if works. If not, factory reset or they’ll send another under warranty. The problem is I’ll have to set everything up all over again. Just not worth it. The V2 bridge never had a problem. The only reason why I got the pro was because it can handle more bulbs and switches. May just go back to V2 or simply quit Philips hue all together.

I use my hue lights in a fairly robust way. 50 or so lights in a church meeting room with live music. I originally created this setup back in 2013 when Hue was very new to the market. Since then I’ve upgraded my bridge each time a new one comes out. This is by far the biggest upgrade. It allowed me to consolidate 4 existing bridges into one (we have hue lights in 3 rooms and our hallway at the church). Speed and responsiveness improved dramatically as well as reliability. If you’re on the fence I highly recommend it.

Great upgrade for you Philips hue experience. It enhanced all the lights i already had, and the new quick response via apple homekit is incredible.

It has been working great, much faster than before.

I've had the 2.1 version of the Hue bridge for a number of years, but the wall switches and some lights throughout my home would sometimes not respond. Heard great things about the Pro, so I figured I'd give it a try. So far, all devices stay connected and are snappy to respond. Worth the upgrade.

It installed very quickly and migrated the old bridge over without any problems. It is working great on WIFI.
