Q: Is the bridge included in this pack gen 1 or 2?

A: The Hue Bridge included in this starter kit is the Gen 2 variant. The Gen 2 Bridge is square with rounded corners, while the Gen 1 Bridge is completely circular and is also quickly losing support with many smart home platforms.

Q: How many additional A19 light bulb will the bridge support? For example can I purchase other A19 that’s not in the same starter kit as the bridge and use the same bridge.

A: The hue bridge can control up to 50 lights, and yes you can add any Hue A19 light to the bridge, this is done thru the app.
