This shaver has been a must have item at home for grooming. I shave about once or twice a week and this norelco shaver gives a very clean shave each and every time. It also holds an excellent battery life that holds charge for a very long time and cleaning is a breeze with just a quick wash at the sink.

The Philips Shaver 5000 has been an excellent purchase. It gives a close, comfortable shave without irritation, even on sensitive areas. The blades glide smoothly, the head is easy to clean, and the battery charges quickly and lasts a long time. It feels durable and well-designed. Highly recommend it!

Totally worth the cost of the razor. My old razor was not shaving certain areas on my neck. New blades would not have made a difference either. So, I decided to buy this razor and I am impressed with the ease of using and cleaning this razor. I am finished shaving in no time compared to my old one. No irritation or burn after I dry shaved. Handle is easy to hold. Extremely happy I bought it.

I bought during Black Friday sales, as it was only a little more than three cost of replacement blades. USB charges with your own ac adapter - comes only with the cable. Plugged into my iPhone charger and charges in a few hours. I have shaved my head -bald - face and neck for a FULL 7 days and did not have to recharge. It does not operate with quite as much power as my standard cordless Philips Nireclo Series 5000, so takes just a few minutes more to shave. This is is VERY MUCH LIGHTER. I love the simple design. And great to have a travel and backup shaver now!

After using it for quite a while, my overall impression is pretty good; the only downside is that it takes a relatively long time to use each time, as the motor doesn't seem to rotate quite as quickly or powerfully as I'd expect.

The shaver works good for a travel shaver. It is not a close shave but good enough for traveling. The battery life is not the best so carry the plug to charge it.

Good quality, value priced. Worked excellent, but husband preferred other model.

Philips Norelco shavers have been around since 1948 for a reason. Reliability. Combine that with Best Buy promotional pricing (even better than the warehouse clubs) and it's a no-brainer.

Its pretty good in what it supposed to do, clean shaving. Tried it as dry shaver (no foam or even water) and wet (with foam) and found it works good when using foam. It could be my habbit so far thats causing me feel like it but found it so convenient. Now its gonna be always in my travel bag. Only one complaint, if i charge it fully, it does not remain for even few days and drains battery. But overall, good equipment added that works great.

Three head shaver that works just right for me without any complaints because it leaves me with the perfect shave others envy and always question me how do I get my face so clean shaved.

I've gone through a lot of shavers but I'm happy with this one. I got rid of several other things that I used to use and now I just use this one for everything.

This is the first time that I actually found an electric shaver that actually work. It was definitely worth the money. I’m at peace now.

Its ok. I was expecting it to get all the hair in one pass, but it takes multiple passes abd turning to get all the hair.

My face has sensitive skin prone to razor bumps. I've tried several shavers in the past with limited success and lately I've been using plain straight razors. I've decided to try this Philips Norelco and see how my skin reacts. The shaver comes in a nice looking blue package that includes a proprietary charging cable that can be connected to a usb charging output. The package also includes a precision trimmer and a protective cap but no charger. The shaver only works with a rechargeable battery that has to be fully charged before first use. This shaver was at 100% and ready to go after barely 10 minutes of charging. I don't grow a full bushy beard. I typically shave every 3 days and there's enough hair to be noticeable. My luck, the shaver arrived when I needed a shave. There's only one speed and I started with a dry shave on each side of my face. I was surprised by how smooth it was. It was easy to establish contact with my skin. The heads were flexible enough as to necessitate minimal re-shaving. I decided to do a wet shaving under my chin since it's the most sensitive area of my face. The wet shaving was as smooth as the dry one. It took a little over 3 minutes to finish everything. The shaving was close to the face and didn't require much retouching. With the time it takes me to shave I imagine the battery can handle a dozen uses before charging. Time will tell. It cleans easily with a few shakes and I also use a small brush to remove any remaining hair. Despite the speed and smoothness, I still got razor bumps but not more than with my favorite razors. This is mostly due to the sensitivity of my skin. This little shaver surprised me with its smooth and close shave. It's light and feels solid. I will continue to use it as long as the razor bumps are kept to a minimum. I would give it a 5-star if it had more than one speed, for better control, and zero irritation which is asking for a lot in my case. In conclusion this shaver is a keeper.

This is a good shaver but it’s pretty basic. The actual shave is good but no different than my older Norelco shaver. Things I like - (1) It’s light weight and easy to handle, (2) It stands up on the counter so it takes up less counter space, (3) It charges quickly and a change lasts at least a week. (4) It’s simple enough to use out of the box. Charge and push a button to shave. Things I don’t like - (1) the USB charging cable. Why USB? Why not a standard plug? I don’t keep a USB port in my bathroom so I have to charge this in my bedroom or living room (2) The plug is on the bottom of the shaver so when it’s charging, it has to lay on it’s side, putting it on the back of the shaver would have been better so it can still stand up while charging. (3) The instructions are printed on this really large sheet of paper with tiny print. Would have preferred a booklet that is easier to flip through. (4) The trimming attachment isn’t integrated into the shaver like on my old shaver. Just pushing a button is a easier and quicker to use than twisting a shaving head to pop it off and then snapping on a trimming attachment. This might have been good if there were more attachments like a nose trimmer but there are none. Other thoughts – (1) If you are going to use a USB cable to charge it, why not have both ends USB? I would prefer a USB C port on the shaver instead of a proprietary connector. (2) A charging base would have been really nice vs having to attach a cable to charge. (3) The light weight and thinner handle can make the shaver feel a little flimsy even though it really isn’t. All my previous Norelco shavers felt really solid. This one doesn’t have that same feel but again, it’s really just different from what I’m used to. Final thoughts and notes: If you aren’t used to electric shavers, they can irritate your skin. They take some getting used to . But once you use them consistently, your skin adjusts. You will get a closer shave from a razor but a shaver like this is quicker and easier and it’s very rare that you cut yourself using one. All-in-all it’s a decent shaver. I just wish I went for one with a few more features.
