Q: How is the sonic care 9700 compared to the 9900? I have the 9700 but am thinking of getting the 9900 for my son. I see the price is higher on the newer model but in relation to cleaning, whitening and overall quality how do they compare?

When it comes to cleaning, both Philips Sonicare DiamondClean Smart 9700 and Sonicare 9900 Prestige toothbrushes are identical as they come with same modes, except that the Sonicare 9900 Prestige has Sensitive. Also, the Prestige Toothbrush has SenseIQ technology where it senses, adapts and cares on your brushing routine. The sensors also keep an eye on how long and how often you brush and adjusts intensity when you push too hard, while the DiamondClean Smart has a scrubbing sensor that gently reminds you to reduce scrubbing and alerts you when you're pressing to hard. In terms of accessories, the Prestige toothbrush uses charging puck and charging case, while the DiamondClean Smart includes a charging glass and a charging case.

Q: Will the Sonicare wireless charger (Qi) work with this unit?

A: No, the packaging on the toothbrush inside the box says it won’t work with any other charger.

A: Hello! The DiamondClean Smart charging glass is designed only for DiamondClean Smart toothbrushes. The Sonicare Series 2100 is not compatible, so please use the original charging accessories that came with each toothbrush.
