A: Not without an amplifier. To go right from a tv you would need speakers with a built in amp.

A: The price is for one speaker.
Q: What is the maximum CONTINUOUS power each speaker can handle?
A: I wouldn't worry about too much power what you should be worried about is under powering them and clipping your amp will take them out 100x quicker than over powering them! I have used these speakers on many types of amp from 80 watts a ch to a pair of 1000w monoblocks with NO issues at all. They really like power
Q: 6 ohms impedance speakers w/ 8 ohms amp
A: I am using an old Onkio amp that pumps out 8 ohms and these 6 ohm speakers sound great, no sweat for your amp to power these speakers, my 8 ohm amp sounds great!

A: These are not "powered" speakers... you'd need an amp or receiver to hook them up to either of the items you mention.
