Q: Can I display the GPS from my android smart phone on this unit?

A: I think that requires "Mirrorlink" technology which this specific Pioneer model doesn't have. There are several Pioneer models that do have this technology, but I think they're all double-din models. There is a technical way around this that I explored prior to purchasing and having this unit installed. It requires purchasing a few additional cables and having them connected to the back of the unit. These cables (connected to each other) then allow you to connect any video device to the cable and display whatever is on the screen to the screen of the unit. A: Actually you can add navigation to this unit, you have to add the AVIC-U260 accessory which enables you to have the same coverage and support as any Garmin device

However the flip monitor can interfere with dash air vents..

Pioneer Does It Again
This is the 2nd Pioneer video head unit I've had installed in my vehicles. This time I needed a single din, and I was glad to see that Pioneer offered a single din with a flip-out 7" screen that also had all the features and options of a standard double din 7" screen. I've got a subwoofer amp, two small amps for 2 sets of components, rear view camera, the aux cable, and an audio/video hdmi converter cable all hooked up to the head unit. The display is beautiful, and the functionality of being able to insert/eject cd's without having to open the display is nice. The removable faceplate is a small added piece of security, which is a nice feature. There are a few things compared to my Pioneer 7" double din that I am somewhat disappointed about. 1st off the cd mode doesn't display the album/song/artist information. I'm not sure if this is a setting that I have to figure out or something, but I was pretty surprised that this unit doesn't have this simple feature. Also, the pre-loaded background picture/theme options on this unit aren't as good as the ones on my other Pioneer unit. This isn't the end of the world, but it seems like something like this should always be getting better rather than taking a step back. I'm still playing around with the 13-point equalizer and variety of other sound settings. You can adjust each speaker level and the subwoofer level individually, and this is a major upgrade over my other Pioneer head unit. In a sense there's almost so many different ways you can adjust the sound quality and sound settings that it might be overwhelming if you're not careful. That's a good problem to have. One thing that I'm surprised Pioneer hasn't included in their head units is the ability for USB drives to automatically organize themselves alphabetically/numerically based on folder/album title and song number/name within the individual folders. This is standard on most factory car stereos, and it seems like something Pioneer should've figured out to include on their aftermarket head units by now. One thing that is a HUGE feature is the Mixtrax option for the USB. I'm just now figuring it out and playing around with it, but what I've experienced so far is so great. The idea that it is able to understand the type of music being played and then mix songs together as it transitions from song to song is pretty cool. I would imagine I'm just experiencing the beginning of it because I haven't really played around with the settings. Overall, you can't go wrong with this as an option for a solid head unit period, and it's almost a must buy option if you've only got room for a single din and want the features of a 7" screen. Great functions for customizing music
The Geek Squad installed this product in an 88 IROC -Z Camaro. It was installed with Pioneer Front Speakers,4x6's and Kickers Speakers, 6x9's, in the Rear Side panels. The installer added some dampening material for a more solid sound. The sound is great without a Sub Woofer. The Sub woofer and a Mid range speaker maybe added later. This add on would be a personal customization for me. The Bluetooth is great....Phone and Streaming are great.
