Although I wasn't familiar with Torment, I'd played my fair share of Ice Wind Dale I and II in my early twenties. I'd always liked the games similar to Baldur's Gate (another series I played to death). Although some of the game mechanics seem slow or outdated, the bulk of the game is great. In particular, the role-playing elements. I'm generally a fan of all RPGs, but so many these days are only surface level on the role-playing aspect. Far too often your choices have either little or no consequences, so I've always been a big fan of the Black Ilse games. Although the graphics are enhanced, most of it is just better shadows, less pixelation and cooler looking magic effects. Isometric games aren't really my favorite, especially when the screen uses the fog-of-war effect. I'd like to see where I'm going in most games, be it open-world, or mostly open-world, but it's still fun. I'll play this for years since I don't have a gaming computer anymore.

Look you probably know what you are getting with this. Two amazing CRPG games that have been lovingly brought to the current console generations....with mixed results. While the team did a great job of converting classic CRPGs to a controller it still suffers. If you can fumble through the clumsy controls you will be in for a treat. These games are classic CRPG fun. Controlling your little people is harder than it should be and the text is a bit too small but the games are golden. 4 out of 5

These are another set of two epic RPGs with great stories, characters and settings with tons of content, fun and adventure. Although the graphics are dated, overall they also hold up very well for being 20 years old.

I was very excited to hear that these two classic games were being released for the Xbox. I've played through both on the PC many years ago and was looking forward to revisiting them. Sadly (as expected honestly) the controls were not great. You spend a lot of time working through which actions you want your characters to take. However, if you have a lot of patience you will be rewarded with two great gems from cRPG history.

Good rerelease of 2 classic RPGs. This is very old school text heavy

Recommended if you like 90's style RPGs. Game has replayability, with different interactions happening between the different classes. 2 games in one, includes achievements for both games for a total gamerscore of 2000.

Game is fun, just like the PC version. Would be nice to have a manual for controller functions.

Planescape and Icewind Dale look great on the Xbox One with these remastered releases and play well too. Highly recommended for fans of these games and the Baldur's Gate series.

Had fun playing the game. Easy to pick up and understand.

current price is $15.99 - $8 per game is not a bad price to replay these classics on a modern console.

Gameplay is horrid, you have to go into a screen to choose actions while gameplay continues, much like PC versions of games, not adapted to console well
