## Design and Fit One of the things I like most about these headphones is the open design of the tips on the earbuds. It has a one-size-fits-all design, similar to the Apple EarPods or AirPods. As such, the earbuds do not “seal” to your ear canal like many earbuds and, therefore, do not completely block outside noises. This is important when you’re running near a road and need to be aware of traffic. The earbuds also have a hook that goes around the outside of your ear, helping to secure the earbuds even further. While running and even do burpees, I did not at any point feel like they were going to fall out. The ear hooks are soft and comfortable, even after wearing them for an hour. ## Sound Quality Typically, earbuds that do not “seal” to your ear canal don’t have strong bass performance, but that is not the case with the BackBeat FIT 3150s. In fact, sometimes the bass is a little too strong and music can sound “muddy” at times. I’m a fan of bass so I don’t really mind the over emphasis on the low frequencies, but this will be a matter of personal preference. Otherwise, sound quality is great with nice mids and highs. Compared to other headphones, the sound quality is not quite as good as the Apple AirPods or the Beats PowerBeats earbuds, but at this price point the sound is more than acceptable. ## Features Stay Aware: Again, this is one of my favorite features of these earbuds as they allow you to hear the cars and people around you which is important when exercising outdoors. As such, these may not be ideal if you plan on wearing them in loud locations such as airplanes and trains. IP57 Sweat-proof: I haven’t noticed any issues with these earbuds and my copious amounts of sweat. However, they are not completely waterproof and should not be submerged in liquid. On earbud controls: You can adjust the volume by tapping on the left earbud, but it’s a little awkward. A single tap increases the volume while a long tap decreases the volume, which for some reason is tough for me to remember. ## Bluetooth Performance From the factory, the right earbud will serve as the primary earbuds. However, unlike many other truly wireless earbuds, you can actually switch the primary earbud. Ideally, you’ll want the primary earbud to be on the same side that you normally carry your phone. So if you carry your phone in your left pocket, you’ll want to use the BackBeat app to make the left earbud the primary. While using the earbuds indoors, I did not notice any issues with the earbuds’ ability to connect to each other and the sound came through both earbuds fine. Outdoors, the signal can be more susceptible to interference and I noticed that the left and right earbuds would get out of sync momentarily, but this was very infrequent and typically only happened when I was handling my phone (where my hand was likely blocking the Bluetooth signal). ## Battery Life and Charging The earbuds can last up to 8 hours before needing to be recharged. The included charging case stores about 2 additional charges, so you can get up to 24 hours of listening time before you need to connect to a USB wall charger. If you’re in a hurry, you can charge the earbuds in the case for 15 minutes to get up to get about 1.5 hours of listening time.

Nice looking ear pieces my son picked out. (He is 12) and has ASD so he loves to keep ear sets on, this one has the ear backs to keep them in place. Easy set up, connect to your cell phone...sounds great but we started to get confused on how to turn the volume up, we thought we got a broken pair. For the volume its a tap not a click, so we figured that out by day 2. It has a ridculous sized USB plug 3 inches or so, a waste for the 4 stars.

Quality is good, both headphones are independently connected to your device by Bluetooth. This is very nice to share the voice/music with friends/family. Long duration, waterproof, easy to wear, worth to buy.

At the begining I was worry about the funcionally in calls, but they works very well, but not with all the platforms, I tried with Microsoft teams and wasn't the best but with messenger was great. I a little bit hard for me find confortable headphones but those are excellents.

Superior Fit with Extra Bass The design of the Plantronics Backbeat Fit 3150 is SUCH a relief! Finally a pair of wireless earbuds that are truly designed to stay in place! I want wireless earbuds that I can wear in any situation - and these earbuds are PERFECT for just that. They can be worn when running, dancing, biking, snowboarding, skiing, skating, lifting weights, and even in the office. There is no worry that one will fall out and get lost. These will stay in place through any activity. And, because they don’t muffle out all ambient noise, they can be used safely in environments where you need to be aware of your surroundings (like running on the side of the road when it’s best to be able to hear cars approaching from behind, etc). *You will need to remove them to hold a conversation, but you will be able to hear enough that colleagues won't sneak up on you. The main downside to these earbuds is that the low end audio can sound hollow. When music is playing, the bass thumps hard - but when podcasts are playing, it sounds like AM Radio playing in a bathroom. I have grown to accept the rather poor sound of Podcasts (which I listen to in the office) because the fit is so superior to many earbuds. The only other slight negative is that the controls are not intuitive AT ALL. I expect that everyone will need to read the manual to figure out how to adjust volume and change tracks. Luckily, the companion App allows for all of the customization the user could possibly need. I especially like that you can swap the controls from the left earbud over to the right. There is even the option of setting up a timer, voice assistant, etc with a single button press. And the touch controls work perfectly with e-touch gloves (which is incredibly convenient when using them outside in our cold Seattle weather). Conclusion: If you use your headphones primarily for podcasts, I would pass on these - Or, if you want noise cancelation - then these are not for you. But, I recommend these earbuds to everyone else - Especially those who are active. They have a superior fit, the battery lasts through a full work day (and charges quickly), the Bass is strong, they have a useful companion app, you can use only one (either left or right if you choose), they work well for phone calls, they have good quality audio, and they are resistant to water & sweat. All around a great package and exactly what I think most people are looking for in a pair of wireless earbuds.

This is my first pair of true wireless earbuds and I was impressed with the overall performance of the Backbeat Fit 3150s. Taking them out of the box I found they were already fully charged, with the case about 75% charged. Pairing them to my iPhone X was a simple process and I was ready for some music. For some of the headphones with sized inserts I usually wear the larger sizes, but I was pleasantly surprised to find the 3150s fit pretty good. Music sounded crisp and I made a test phone call which was also crisp and clear. So next I downloaded the Backbeat app, which was quick and painless. Starting the App started the pairing process between the buds and the app and that seemed to be an easy process as well. I'm not sure what happened, but after putting the buds back in the case, then starting them back up again they paired back up with the phone, but wouldn't pair back up with the Backbeat app. I deleted the buds from the app and started the process over. Everything seemed to go exactly the same as the first time, but I've had them in and out of the case multiple times and the pairing stuck this time. The app gives some options (Usage Analytics, Find My Headset to help if you misplace a headset, and an option for Push Notifications for the app) You also get a couple of EQ options to tweak the overall sound (PLT Signature Balanced, Bass and Bright). You can hear a difference but it seemed subtle to me between balanced and bass, wit the bright being more noticeable. Finally there's the MyTap section which lets you change from the standard volume controls on the left headset to two custom tap options (Siri, Headset Status, Timer, Tell Time, Stopwatch, Spotify Playlist, Deezer Playlis and Scroll EQ which just switches between the three options) I prefer the standard volume option. The app also tells you the approximate time remaining on the earbud's charge. You've also got a settings menu for the App which has such standards as the update function and language setting. It also gives you the option of switching which side is the primary headset. So the only quirk for me was the charging case. It works well and the earbuds fit securely in their places, but they go in backwards. The left bud is on the right side of the case and the right bud on the left. When I run I often start in the morning before the sun comes up and it was something I had to remember the first few times I took them out for a run. Other than that I'm pretty happy to have these along for workouts and when running.

I like them, much better than the last ones I had.

The Plantronics Backbeat FIT 3150 are a wonderfully priced and practical set of truly wireless headphones. I've been using and loved the Powerbeats 3. However I was itching to use truly wireless headphones, so naturally when the Powerbeats Pro arrived, I was excited to try those as I thought I was going to get the Powerbeats 3 experience just without the wire connecting them. That wasn't the case. Powerbeats Pro were uncomfortable and didn't seem to sound as good as their predecessor. I returned them and then was glad to discover the Plantronics Backbeat FIT 3150 because these fit in my ears great. They have a excellent secure fit with loops that comfortably hook around the ears and ear tips that are seemingly one size fits all. The sound quality isn't as great as the Powerbeats 3 and I think that's simply due to the fact that those headphones are designed for secure fit that doesn't let much passive noise in due to customizable ear tips that slide further in the ear canal. The Backbeat FIT 3150 allow for passive noise to come in, yet they still sound quite good. They're convenient, practical headphones that are not just good for the gym but everywhere you go situations and especially at work. The case is much smaller than the Powerbeats Pro case, yet bigger than Apple's Airpods, nevertheless it's a great portable case that fits reasonably into a jacket pocket or a small pocket in your workbag, etc. The charging seems to be adequate, when the headphones themselves run out of power you can put them in the portable case/charger to get a relatively quick and effective charge. If you're not willing to shell out the big bucks for the Powerbeats Pro and you're wanting to make sure you get a good pair of practical, effective and affordable truly wireless headphones then the Plantronics Backbeat FIT 3150 are for you.

The reason I bought this is for work phone calls and it has performed flawlessly for daily work phone calls and meetings. Here are what I like, _ Open air design allows me to hear ambience noise. This is very important while I am outside exercising. _ Comfort for long period of using time. Soft tips, soft hooks that rest on my ears without inducing heat nor sweat. _ Easy to use: once linked to my phone, just put the earphones to my ears and it connects to my phone right away. _ Battery life: passed my test of 12 hours phone conference with plenty of juice left. _ Sound quality: very good for voice, good for general music with clear highs and soft bass. Microphone is clear without feed back nor picking up ambience noise except for wind noise. _ Sport use: I am long distance cyclist and I can wear this headsets along with glasses, helmet, occasionally surgical mask with ear loop without any issue. The headphones stay on securely while I was on bone jarring section of roads. Did I say it is open air, very important while you are exercising outdoor you need to hear the traffic and noise around you for safety. I put volume about 70% while riding fast and can hear music as well as ambience noise well. I rate this earphones above Apple airpods due to lower price point, longer battery life, better for sport use, somewhat better sound quality for music. Conclusion: best for work, good for sport use, good for general music. The headphones cannot produce heavy bass so choose close air models in that case.

For the record, I'm more of a conference-caller than an audiophile: I spend long days on calls and only a little time listening to music and that's where my review is focused. I bought these headphones for two reasons: Plantronics to me is synonymous with workday headsets and I personally have a very strong dislike for in-ear headphones. I find that, after a long day with them in, I have a lot of discomfort from having something jammed tightly in my ear(s). I almost always wear only one so that I can trade them out both for comfort and for the purpose of being able to hear what's going on around me. I understand that isolation from the noise around you is a benefit for some, but I'm not one of those people. All of that said, I love listening to music on the Backbeat FIT 3150. The rubber plug that sits in your ear is comfortable and snug without plugging your ears entirely. The hook around your ear is also comfortable for 8+ hour sessions and, unlike my previously well-loved AirPods, stays in if you have to tilt your head at more extreme angles or move around more vigorously. Battery life is in the "unkillable" category. Even after a long day of constant calls and occasional music, I was unable to reduce the battery in the headphones below about 50% and I've gone nearly an entire week without charging the case. I can't imagine ever running out of juice with these headphones. Coming from my old AirPods, the charging case is definitely larger, slightly less pocket-friendly and I'm a little worried about the long-term durability of the zipper. However it can't be denied that, once zipped, the headphones are secure in the case and no drop will damage the slightly softer case or send a headphone flying. So I find that these headphones tick every single box: extreme battery life, good audio quality, *lack* of complete noise isolation, excellent build quality and all-day comfort while being secure in the ear. For me, these are the best headphones I've ever owned by a wide margin. If, like me, you're of the opinion that you don't want to be fully isolated from the sound around you, I can wholeheartedly recommend these headphones.

Absolutely fantastic headphones - especially for outdoor road running! I started out first looking into some of the other very highly reviewed brands...but I quickly realized that most of the wireless headphones completely plug your ear canal, blocking out all ambient sound. This is definitely not ideal for safety if running on roads with traffic! In addition, even if the other brands try to compensate for this with settings to electronically allow for ambient sound, because of the way that they plug the ear, they create a second issue: they end up magnifying the sounds of running - creating a loud pressure thud with each footfall. These headphones are the solution to both issues! The nozzle style earpiece does not completely, deeply, block up your ear, which allows for great sound - so that I may enjoy the music - while also letting in the sounds of my surroundings - so that I may feel safe. They are SUPER light. Before getting them, I was worried that the earhook might be heavy, stiff, or uncomfortable, but it is just the opposite - I forget that it is even there. Plus, having the little piece that goes around the ear allows for worry free wear so that I am not constantly concerned that they might slip out over the many many miles. If you are looking for wireless earbuds to block out the rest of the world so that you may focus on the nuances of the music, then these may not be the best choice for you...but, if you are looking for great sounding, super comfy, SAFE wireless headphones for exercising - especially outside - then these are definitely a great option.

Got these for my partner as he loves to listen to his sports shows and music in bed and while he works out. I am not as always interested in hearing his music or sports so I got him these. He loves them. He can listen and enjoy and I can not hear and enjoy. Yet they do not block out everything so he can still hear me when I need something, the dogs when they bark to go out or someone comes to the house and he loves this feature. He also loves that they have the little thing that keeps them in place in the ear when he is working out and of course they hold up to all his sweating. The sound is great, easy to set up and of course the charging box is an awesome feature these days. Would buy it sgsin and te commend it.

I'll jump in with the only con: these are just a bit too bit to fit my ears well. I can wear them for several hours before they really hurt. Unlike other in ear products, these do not have choices of different sized tips. Now on to the pros: I wanted true wireless headphones to use for calls, for exercise, for listening to music, all while staying aware of my environment. I like to take walks and listen to music, but wanted something that would allow me to still hear street noise, and to stay in my ears without slipping. The Beatback FIT 3150 fit the bill. I have been using these for nearly a week now, for exercise and for work. I am still working remotely, and I like that they work well for phone calls, and still work well for music. I can also hear my cat yelling at me, or the doorbell, or anything else I need to pay attention to. I have worn them on three 2 mile walks in the neighborhood now, and like the fact that I can clearly hear my music while still able to hear traffic or runners coming up behind me. Part of the reason I bought these, obviously, was for situational awareness. I have a pair of Bose Quiet Comfort II Noise Cancelling headphones that I love, but I can't really hear myself when I'm on the phone. So these Plantronics are better, in my opinion, for phone calls. I also like that once I paired them with my iPhone 11, they pair again as soon as I take them out of the case. They do have a strong connection, I walked across the house today while on a call before realizing that I had left my phone in another room. So, to sum up: -Good sound -Quick to pair -Long battery life -Stay alert to other noise/sounds (situational awareness) -Stays in the ears really well -But a bit too large for my ears with no optional tips

I purchased these on a day when The were highly discounted and overall glad I took the chance. My wife and I also have the Jabra 65t. As I rule I prefer the audio of these over the 65t. It has a much richer sound. They are also more comfortable after a short adjust period for your ears. We don't really use them for phone calls so I can't speak to that. We also prefer being able to hear our surroundings. If you are looking for noise cancelling, these are not the headphones for you. Now a weak point for these Plantronics is the volume intensity. There are certainly times when you wish they were louder even when the volume is maximum. I don't like loud music so keep that in mind when I reference the moderate volume limitations. The overall sounds is good, but these are definitely not $250-400 headphones so keep that in mind. These are not for the audiophile or someone seeking noise cancelling. Overall I can recommend these for anyone looking for moisture resistant headphones that still allow you to take in the ambient sounds of your surroundings.

So I’ve had them for a few weeks at this point and no regrets They got great on my ear, lightweight and comfortable. When I’m biking or at the gym, I forget their in my ear. Touch controls are good and battery life is great. The first time connection is a little odd but once it’s connected, they easily connect to my iPhone with no issue better then any other headphones I’ve had.

I got these mostly because of the kind of ear pieces these have...I’ve had quite a few of the ones with the various little rubber stoppers and they just don’t stay in my ears very good without some other form of anchor on also like these have and one or the other kept falling out no matter which size I tried and this was just from walking not running...70, running days over! These do stay in my ears thankfully tho they are not a tight canal fit which I believe they are not supposed to be? The ear piece is the key to this problem for me to hold securely in and they do that for sure. I’ve also had the kind that have a stem and those kind I found get knocked out taking off on hood/hat sometimes and actually even lost one one time from that. The rubber is a bit on the thick side ..tho pliable and soft...and I was worried with glasses on might be an issue but really isn’t tho I find I have to take my glasses off first to put them on. I’m no expert on sound quality and as long as I could hear my music I was happy but seems like it’s a good sound and nice and clear. A little confusing for me about the tap and click to regulate sound and changing songs etc but finally figured that out....again, 70! It’s just if you tap a bit too hard on the left to adjust the sound it turns into a click and turns it off. They are a bit sensitive to the Tap on the left for sound but if I get frustrated enough with I just regulate on my phone. Glad to have gotten these on a sale price too. So all in all compared to others I’ve had these are far superior and I’m sure I’ll get used to the tap and click the more I use them. I’ve only been able to take my walks a few times so this is the adjustment period for me.

Bought these based on a number of reviews of ear buds targeted specifically to runners. These are ideal for runners interested in hearing their music and podcasts, but also wanting to hear their environment as they run. 1. These are not a tight fit in the ear. They have a secure fit, but allow external sound in. 2. The music is clear with easy adjustments. There is no strong, thumping bass with these. If that is important to you, look elsewhere. 3. They are a very secure fit when running, which was my primary concern. No bounce, no rubbing or irritation. 4. Quickly and easily connected to my phone, and also easily connected to my Fitbit Ionic. So I leave the phone in the car and listen to music through the Fitbit. Perfect! Definitely a good purchase.

Let me start off with saying I ended up returning these - but don't let that be a deterrent. I will explain. These are awesome true wireless headphones. They fit great, and for working out, they stay in place and don't budge when you move around. The sounds is great, but it doesn't get overly loud, even at full volume. I have an older set of Plantronics BackBeat Fit (wrap around the back of your head) that have the similar one-size-fits-all ear gel. Similar to those, they don't get overly loud and they let in outside noise/sounds, which is why I wear those when I bike. I feel I will be able to hear cars, people, etc. Likewise, these have the same sort of fit with the ear gel. For working out, I had been using a Beats knock-off that actually sounds really good - and loud. I am just used to that sound and fit for working out. I hesitated taking these back, but ultimately decided I wanted that "loud" type of sound ( ear doctors should collectively cringe at this point...) so I got the Powerbeats Pro. If you don't want full isolation, these are an awesome choice and you will be pleased with them.

I had a "pair" of the original Backbeat Fit headhones and loved them. They worked great for me and I actually liked that they were wired together rather than being individual ear pieces like these 3150's. However, after 5 years, the left side started to fail (I sweat A LOT). I initially looked at the 2100's that were like my originals in that they were wired together, but the reviews were very poor across all sources. So, I somewhat reluctantly bought these 3150's. Now, I'm happy, though. In terms of performance, they are fantastic and I have zero complaints. Sound quality, connectivity, range, and battery life are all far better than my original pair. One of my other reasons for wanting a headset like this is that they are not sound isolating. When I run, I want to be able to hear cars and other noises and these allow me to hear the music/books but also be safe while running in the street. One of my only complaints is an unfair one in that I hate how they look. They are not as bad (or ridiculous) as the white Apple Airpods that look like you have drinking straws hanging out of your ears, but they do look pretty silly. My other complaint is that the ear loop is a little too soft. They've never fallen out of my ears while exercising, but they don't feel as secure as the original Backbeat Fits. I wear them not only when exercising, but also listening to books as I walk around the house. I can even go out in the back yard and never lose connection. The charging case works great and, so far, my worry about losing one of the pieces has not been an issue. I'd definitely recommend these and would buy them again.

I bought these because I had the other type that look like a little stem and they were always popping out of my ears, even if I was standing still. Sometimes all I had to do was open my mouth to speak and they would fall out. These stay in place very comfortably, they deliver excellent, clear sound, whether music or phone calls. People on the receiving end of my calls hear me very clearly (I do not have to shout or talk loud). They stay charged for hours and the carrying case doubles as a handy charger. I wore them while doing landscaping in the summer - so yes, they really are waterproof. I have no doubt you wear them while running. My only drawback, and it is minor, is all the controls are a matter of tapping. I still do not have all the taps down pat (sometimes I disconnect phone calls when I am trying to adjust the volume, for example) - but again, this is minor. I use the controls on the phone instead.
