Customer Ratings & Reviews

The PlayStation 5 Pro is everything I hoped it would be and more. From the moment I powered it on, the improvements were immediately noticeable. Games load almost instantly thanks to the ultra-fast SSD, and the upgraded hardware delivers sharper graphics, smoother frame rates, and an even more immersive gaming experience than the original PS5. What impressed me the most is the visual quality. Games look incredibly detailed with richer textures, improved lighting, and more stable performance, especially on a 4K display. Whether playing action-adventure games, competitive shooters, or racing titles, everything feels smoother and more responsive. The DualSense controller continues to be one of Sony's greatest innovations. The adaptive triggers and haptic feedback make gameplay feel incredibly immersive, adding a level of realism that still sets PlayStation apart from other platforms. Despite the increased performance, the console remains impressively quiet and stays cool during long gaming sessions. The redesigned internal hardware does an excellent job balancing power, efficiency, and thermal performance without becoming distracting. The PlayStation ecosystem is another major advantage. Features like Game Help, fast game switching, cloud saves, and the outstanding library of exclusive titles make the overall experience feel polished and premium. Backward compatibility also allowed me to continue enjoying my existing PS5 library with noticeable performance improvements in many supported games. Highlights: • Outstanding 4K graphics and enhanced visual fidelity • Extremely fast loading times with the ultra-fast SSD • Stable high frame rates and smoother gameplay • Incredible DualSense haptic feedback and adaptive triggers • Quiet operation even during demanding games • Excellent backward compatibility with existing PS5 titles • Premium build quality and seamless user experience Things to know: To fully appreciate everything the PS5 Pro offers, pairing it with a quality 4K HDR television or gaming monitor makes a significant difference. While the original PS5 remains an excellent console, the Pro delivers meaningful upgrades for players who want the best possible performance and image quality. Overall, the PlayStation 5 Pro is the most refined and capable PlayStation console Sony has ever produced. It combines exceptional performance, breathtaking visuals, lightning-fast responsiveness, and an outstanding gaming ecosystem into one premium package. I’ve been very impressed with the PS5 Pro. Setup was quick and easy, and the improvements in performance and graphics are immediately noticeable. Games run incredibly smooth, load quickly, and look fantastic, especially on a 4K display. The console itself has a sleek design, runs quietly, and stays cool even during longer gaming sessions. I’ve had no issues with stability or performance, and everything has worked exactly as expected right out of the box. For anyone looking for the best PlayStation experience available, the PS5 Pro delivers. The enhanced visuals, improved performance, and overall polish make it a great upgrade and well worth the investment. Pros: • Excellent graphics and performance • Fast load times • Quiet operation • Easy setup • Reliable and hassle-free experience Overall Rating: 5/5 – A powerful, polished console that takes gaming to the next level.

I’ve been extremely happy with the PlayStation 5 Pro. While the original PS5 is still an excellent console, the Pro takes things a step further with smoother performance, sharper visuals, and more consistent frame rates in supported games. Games load incredibly fast, and many titles look noticeably better, especially on a 4K TV. One of the biggest improvements is being able to enjoy higher graphical settings without sacrificing performance. Games that previously required choosing between quality and performance modes now feel much more balanced. The enhanced ray tracing and image upscaling also make supported games look fantastic. The console itself is quiet, responsive, and easy to set up. It works seamlessly with my existing PS5 accessories and digital library, so upgrading was painless. The PS5 Pro isn’t a must-have for everyone, especially if you’re happy with the original PS5, but if you value the best possible console experience, it’s absolutely worth considering. For anyone with a modern 4K display who wants smoother gameplay and improved graphics, this is an excellent upgrade. Highly recommended.

The first time I swung through Spider-Man 2's Manhattan on the PS5 Pro — ray-traced reflections shimmering in every skyscraper window, a buttery-smooth 60 frames per second, zero compromises — I actually laughed out loud. This is the moment console gaming has been promising us for years. The Pro finally delivers it. Here's the magic in one sentence: you no longer have to choose. For years, every big game forced the same painful decision — gorgeous visuals at a choppy 30fps, or smooth gameplay with the eye candy dialed down. The PS5 Pro, with its 45% faster GPU, doubled ray-tracing muscle, and Sony's clever PSSR AI upscaling, simply hands you both. Quality AND performance. It feels like cheating. And the games sing on it. Final Fantasy VII Rebirth goes from soft to razor-sharp. Gran Turismo 7 runs ray tracing during actual races, and it's jaw-dropping. The Last of Us Part II looks like a film you can play. Every "PS5 Pro Enhanced" title feels like getting a free remaster of a game you already love. The quiet hero? The 2TB SSD. Double the storage means I haven't deleted a single game in months. No more storage Tetris, no more "which 100GB monster gets sacrificed tonight." It sounds boring — it's actually life-changing. The console itself is sleek, whisper-quiet, and blisteringly fast. Load times are a blink. The whole machine feels like premium hardware, because it is. Now, the honest part — because no review is worth reading without one. At $749.99, this is a luxury, and the disc drive costs extra ($79.99) if you love physical games. You'll also want a good 4K TV to truly see what you're paying for; on a 1080p screen, the magic mostly hides. And the improvements shine brightest in games with a Pro Enhanced patch — thankfully, that list keeps growing every month. So who is this for? If you have a nice 4K TV, play the big blockbusters, and want the absolute best version of PlayStation that exists — this is it, no contest. If you're a casual player on a modest screen, the standard PS5 is still wonderful and kinder to your wallet. My verdict after months of daily use: the PS5 Pro is the console equivalent of flying first class. Did I need it? No. Do I grin every single time I turn it on? Absolutely. It's the best-looking, smoothest, most effortless console gaming has ever felt. Score: 9/10 — pure "wow," premium price, worth every pixel on the right TV.

The PlayStation 5 Pro is an absolute mid-generation triumph that delivers a stunning leap forward in visual fidelity and fluid performance for high-end gaming. By packing a massive boost in graphics processing power alongside cutting-edge hardware-accelerated ray tracing and smart AI upscaling, it completely eliminates the frustrating compromise between choosing sharp resolution or high frame rates. Modern, demanding titles look incredibly crisp and realistic, running flawlessly at buttery smooth speeds that make fast-paced action feel entirely immersive and responsive. The internal solid-state drive is incredibly fast, ensuring load screens are virtually nonexistent and keeping you right in the center of the gameplay without any jarring interruptions. It is a premium, beautifully engineered powerhouse that serves as the definitive way to experience the absolute pinnacle of console gaming performance.

Next-Level Gaming Power – A Must-Have for PS Fans! The PlayStation 5 Pro takes everything great about the PS5 and pushes it even further! As a long-time PlayStation gamer, I was excited to upgrade, and this console does not disappoint. Design & Build Quality Sony has kept the sleek white design of the original PS5, but the Pro model feels even more refined. The build quality is premium, and it still looks futuristic while blending well into my gaming setup. Performance & Graphics The biggest improvement is the powerful hardware upgrade. With improved GPU and CPU performance, games run smoother and look sharper. Ray tracing is more refined, and 4K gaming at higher frame rates feels incredible. Some titles even support 8K upscaling, which future-proofs this console for years. Faster Load Times & Better Cooling The enhanced SSD speeds up load times even more, making everything feel instant. I’ve also noticed quieter fan operation, meaning better cooling and improved efficiency. Final Verdict If you're a hardcore gamer or want the best possible PlayStation experience, the PS5 Pro is absolutely worth it. The combination of power, speed, and visual fidelity makes this a no-brainer upgrade for serious gamers. Pros: Enhanced performance for 4K/8K gaming Faster load times with improved SSD Better cooling & quieter fans Future-proofed for upcoming titles Cons: Slightly larger than the original PS5 Premium price tag Final Rating: 5/5

Everything feels quick and responsive, whether I’m navigating menus or jumping into gameplay. The design is sleek and modern, and it fits nicely into my setup. Setup was simple, and everything worked right out of the box. Overall, this is a fantastic console for both casual and serious gamers. I’ve owned every PlayStation generation, and the PS5 Pro is easily the best console Sony has made. The improved image quality is immediately noticeable on a large 4K TV, with sharper graphics, smoother performance, and faster loading times that make games feel more immersive than ever. What impressed me most is that I no longer feel like I have to choose between graphics and performance in many games. The experience feels more polished overall, and paired with a quality TV and surround sound system, it’s genuinely breathtaking. Games like Resident Evil 2 Remake look incredible, with excellent lighting, detailed textures, and fluid gameplay that really showcase what the hardware can do. The console is also whisper quiet, downloads are fast, and the DualSense controller continues to be one of the best innovations in gaming thanks to its adaptive triggers and haptic feedback. The PS5 Pro isn’t the cheapest console, but if you value the best possible PlayStation experience and have a 4K display, it’s absolutely worth the investment. Sony delivered a meaningful upgrade that should keep gamers happy for years. Would I recommend it? Absolutely.

I’ve been using my PS5 Pro for a few days, and it has completely blown me away. Load times are almost instant thanks to the upgraded SSD, and the games look stunning in 4K with stable frame rates. The new cooling system keeps the console whisper quiet, even during long gaming sessions. The DualSense controller is a game-changer, with adaptive triggers and haptic feedback that make every game feel unique. Playing Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 has been an entirely new experience, with smooth gameplay and incredible immersion that the PS5 Pro truly brings to life. This console is a must-have for anyone who wants top-tier performance and a true next-gen experience.

It comes with one controller a charger cord power chord and hdmi cord. So far I’m able to notice that it runs games very well. It is quiet and sleek in design. However I had to buy a separate item for physical media. To me physical media is crucial to my gaming experience (I still have games from my launch ps3) I’m not fond of the idea that my only place to purchase my games is the PlayStation store. While this was a big leap from the PlayStation 4 Pro the only incentive for me to get this system was that my other one broke. TL;DR cons: doesn’t come with phys media reader or stand Pros: streams fast graphics look stunning

The PS5 Pro is a massive upgrade! Games run incredibly smooth, load almost instantly, and the enhanced graphics look stunning on a 4K TV. The console is quiet, runs cool, and handles demanding games with zero lag.

I finally upgraded to the PS5 Pro 2TB, and I’m extremely impressed. The performance, graphics, and overall experience feel like a major step up. Games like Spider-Man 2 look incredible, and the extra 2TB of storage is a huge plus when modern games take up so much space. It’s definitely a big investment—I paid $977 after tax—but for someone who games regularly and wants the best PlayStation experience available, I’m very happy with the purchase. The combination of improved visuals, smoother performance, and plenty of storage makes this feel like a premium console that I’ll be using for years. Would I recommend it? Absolutely.

I recently purchased a PS5 from Best Buy, and I have to say, the entire experience was fantastic from start to finish. The website was easy to navigate, and I was able to check for in-store availability right away. I opted for in-store pickup, and the process was seamless. When I arrived at the store, the staff was friendly and had my order ready within minutes, ensuring that everything was smooth and hassle-free. It felt great to walk out with my new console without any issues. As for the PS5 itself, I’m beyond impressed. The console is sleek and modern, with a clean, futuristic design that looks great in my entertainment setup. The load times are incredibly fast, and the system is noticeably quieter than previous models. The graphics are stunning—whether I’m playing next-gen titles or enjoying backward-compatible games, everything looks vibrant and detailed. The new DualSense controller is a huge upgrade too, with its haptic feedback and adaptive triggers making for a much more immersive gaming experience. What I also appreciate about the PS5 is its user-friendly interface, which makes navigation simple and intuitive. Setting up was quick and easy, and I’ve had no issues with connectivity or performance. The game library is also fantastic, with a great mix of exclusive titles and multi-platform games. Overall, I couldn’t be happier with my purchase, and I’m glad I chose Best Buy for both the product and the excellent customer service. Highly recommend if you’re in the market for a PS5!

I bought this PS5 Pro due to hearing some rumors that Gta 6 will run at least 60FPS with the pro. I didn’t plan on using it but since buying it, plugging it in, and setting up playstation plus I’ve downloaded many games. For example Spiderman 2, Gta 5 Enhanced, And lastly God of War Ragnarok. GOW is PS5 pro enhanced so it can give you 4k 30fps with quality that literally looks like real life. It also uses AI frames which are surprisingly very accurate and beautiful. I didn’t know the PS5 Pro came with more storage then a regular till after I plugged it in and used it, I have over 7 games downloaded at the moment and the load up speeds are insane and nothing compared to my PC. If your thinking of buying a PRO then go for it! (Also best buy provides a really good warranty too)

I was hesitant to upgrade from my base PS5 to the Pro. After seeing more games being PRO enhanced, plus the nice bump in storage from 825GB to 2TB, I decided to pull the trigger. Not having to choose between performance or fidelity in some games is such a win! Being able to maintain 60fps and 4k visuals for games like Spider-Man makes an already beautiful game into an even better experience. Also, the new PSVR 2.0 update has completely made this purchase worth it.

The performance is outstanding, and the loading times are incredibly fast. The graphics are sharp, smooth, and make every game look amazing. I mainly use it for gaming with friends and playing story-driven games, and it has exceeded my expectations in every way. The setup was quick and easy, and the console runs quietly even during long gaming sessions. I haven’t found any major downsides so far. The extra power and speed make a noticeable difference compared to previous consoles. I would definitely recommend the PS5 Pro to anyone looking for a premium gaming experience. It’s a fantastic upgrade and well worth it.

First of all know what you are buying. I see no point of people saying they are surprised there is no stand or disc drive. So you casually spend $700 without researching your purchase? If you’re ok with those missing or buying them separately then the real question is this worth the extra money? I think that depends on several factors. Obviously the nicer your TV is the better value this will be. Keep in mind for the extra money your getting more then just a better GPU. You’re getting 2TB of storage (1.89TB available) which is more than double the standard PS5. Wifi has been upgraded to Wifi 7. They added 2GB more ram as well. Is it night and day better? No not really. But is a PS5 pro enchanced game noticable? I would say yes it is. Horizon remastered pro on an OLED is absolutely gorgeous and thats after playing the original PS5 version and its sequel. If you have the means ans you want the best visual quality on a growing list of games on console this is a worthy choice.

I have been a diehard PS fan since working at Blockbuster Video in the 90s and renting the PSX (PS1). The Pro models of Playstation have offered newer features at a relatively low price for the upgrade and at launch it was. But the PS5 Pro bucked that trend and is one of the most expensive consoles in gaming history, due in large part to the Ai bubble and rising component cost. With that out of the way, it's still one of the most impressive pieces of tech on the market. Ken Kutaragi may have been the master of hardware design, Mark Cerny is the king of software. Using semi- off the shelf parts, but using innovative software co-developed by the crew over at AMD the Pro finally offers the performance we expected going into this generation. Through the use of their upscaling tech PSSR 2, which allows for.tbe system to render the image at a lower resolution and uses machine learning to upscale to a higher perceived resolution. This allows for an image that appears native, with a lot of visual bells and whistles without the perfromance penalty. In some cases this allows games to play at the quality mode of the base console while offering higher FPS. The UI is well designed and easy to navigate and speaking of navigation... The dual sense controller is standard by which all other controllers are judged. The comfort is only one part of the equation, the haptics are where it really sets itself apart. The packed in game Astro bot is a must play demo of these capabilities, but playing something like Remedy's Control is another great showpiece for the tech. Running through the brutalist halls of the bureau, moving between materials continues to bring smile to my face. When you transition between the bright red carpet of the office onto the hard tile floor, you can feel the difference in real-time. Carpet has a soft muffled feel vs the sharp hard feel of tile, it's something that you have to experience. Keep in mind that the PS5 Pro is completely digital without the dic drive add on that will set you back and addtional $80 plus tax. Which brings the question, at $1000+ dollars for the complete experience, would investing a little more in a gaming desktop or steam machine be a better option. Outside of adding additional storage to the PS5 Pro, memory can't be upgraded and unlike PC you won't have access to multiple store fronts or other options like Gamepass. While PS Plus offers a good value, it doesn't offer the great value of gamepass. After announcing first party would no longer be released on PC, the Pro was a no brainer for me.

Having used the regular PlayStation 5 for an extended period, I have become aware of the notable distinctions between this model and the Pro version. The Pro version boasts a substantial enhancement in storage capacity and graphical and frame rate capabilities. Notably, when playing PS5 games, particularly on PS4 games, the Pro version delivers a seamless and rapid loading experience. While the connectivity is satisfactory, I would suggest that the Pro version include a USB port instead of solely relying on a USB-C port. Nonetheless, it remains a valuable upgrade, especially recommended for those seeking an upgrade, particularly in anticipation of the release of Grand Theft Auto VI.

Note: I play on LG G1 OLED with panel capable of 120hz and VRR.* The PS5 pro is everything that Sony built it up to be. Increased fidelity in higher frame rate modes with a little extra (PSSR) to boot. So far the games that I have tested (Horizon Forbidden West, Dragons Dogma 2, Hogwarts Legacy, Cyberpunk 2077, and Black Ops 6) all perfom better than they did on the regular PS5 and those games in the list that are optimized by the developers for PS5 Pro feels like I’m playing them for the first time again, the upgrade is that impressive. Dragons Dogma 2 which had the pro patch on release day of the PS5 Pro looks so good in performance mode and I am getting a stable 60 FPS median in Balanced mode with ray tracing effects on. Before on the PS5 original, i was getting 30FPS with ray tracing on. To make things sweeter, PSSR brings out another level of detail in far ranging graphics this was noticable in Dragons Dogma 2 and Horizon Forbidden West more than the others. That all being said, a couple of the games i tested, Black Ops 6 and Cyberpunk 2077, which do not have PS5 Pro patches (cyberpunk might not ever have it) play just a bit better but if you werent OCD about graphics like I tend to be you probably wouldnt inow which console you were playing on if the images were side by side. This was very dissappointing as I believed the upgraded hardware itself could take these games to a new level of fidelity but it does not. At the time of writing this black ops 6 still gas not released its pro patch and my hope is that the unsightly graniness in 120hz mode might be solved by PSSR. I think we will see the true test of its capabilities in games further doen the road which will be produced to cater to the upgrade of the PS5 pro and not just patches for older titles, which is very exciting. All in all, the ps5 pro is worth the expense if you want the best graphics, which I did. I think it is worth noting again like i did in the beginning of this review that having a good TV set to really bring out the detail is important too. Especially one that unlocks the features of this console, VRR, 120hz so its potential can be realized. If you do not have a set that can atleast produce those outputs I would pass on the PS5 Pro.
