Customer Ratings & Reviews

Buying the PlayStation 5 Slim Disc Edition today feels like a milestone in my gaming journey, and I can honestly say it’s one of the best decisions I’ve made. From its sleek design to its robust performance and versatility, this console is more than just hardware—it’s an investment in hours of immersive experiences, seamless entertainment, and pure gaming joy. The first thing that hit me when I unboxed it was the design. The PS5 Slim keeps all the futuristic flair of the original PS5 but in a smaller, more refined form factor. It fits perfectly on my entertainment center without feeling bulky or overwhelming. The matte finish, smooth curves, and subtle LED accents make it look like a statement piece rather than just a console, and it feels surprisingly light while still retaining that premium build quality I’ve come to expect from Sony. The disc drive adds a layer of flexibility that digital-only consoles simply can’t match—I can still buy physical games, borrow from friends, or even trade them in when I’m done. That alone opens up so many options and gives me control over my collection. Performance-wise, the PS5 Slim delivers everything I was hoping for and more. Loading times are virtually nonexistent thanks to the ultra-fast SSD, which means I can jump into Demon’s Souls, Spider-Man: Miles Morales, or Horizon Forbidden West almost instantly. The graphics are crisp, fluid, and breathtaking, even on my 4K TV, and the adaptive triggers and haptic feedback on the DualSense controller make every interaction feel incredibly tactile. It’s one thing to watch a game on a YouTube trailer; it’s another to feel the tension of a bowstring pull, the rumble of a speeding car, or the subtle vibrations of footsteps echoing in an empty hallway. These small touches make me feel completely immersed in every game world, and the Slim handles it all effortlessly. Another aspect I love about the disc version is the freedom it provides. Digital versions are convenient, but I enjoy the tangible nature of physical media—the smell of a new disc, the artwork in the case, the ability to lend or swap games. It also means I’m not tied entirely to internet speeds or storage space. While the internal SSD is fast, having the disc means I can install only what I need and avoid filling up storage unnecessarily, which is perfect for someone like me who likes to keep a rotating library of games at hand. The PS5 Slim also feels like a future-proofed investment. Backward compatibility with PS4 games ensures I don’t lose access to my older collection, and enhanced performance on those titles often makes them feel like new experiences. Features like 3D audio support, variable refresh rates, and HDR optimization bring every game to life in ways my old console couldn’t. Even watching movies or streaming shows is a treat; the console is quiet, efficient, and looks good in any setup, which makes downtime just as enjoyable as gaming time. Buying the PS5 Slim today wasn’t just about performance or design—it was about convenience and peace of mind. I know I now have a system that will support upcoming releases for years to come, and it’s versatile enough to satisfy both my gaming habits and my media needs. Whether I’m diving into a story-heavy RPG, competing online, or just rewatching classic films, this console handles everything with ease. That flexibility is something I didn’t fully appreciate until I had the disc version in my hands—it truly opens doors in ways digital-only systems can’t. Honestly, there’s a sense of pride in owning it, too. Part of the excitement is just having a next-generation system at my fingertips, capable of incredible visuals and smooth gameplay. But it’s more than bragging rights—it’s about the experiences this console enables. From co-op sessions with friends to solo adventures that take me across vast, stunning worlds, this PS5 Slim will be the centerpiece of my gaming life for years. Every game feels sharper, faster, and more immersive than before, and having the disc version ensures that I never feel limited by my library or internet access. In conclusion, buying the PlayStation 5 Slim Disc Edition today is one of the smartest, most satisfying choices I’ve made. It combines sleek design, incredible performance, and the flexibility of physical media into a package that’s hard to beat. The moment I powered it on, I realized it wasn’t just a console—it was a gateway to new adventures, unforgettable stories, and countless hours of entertainment. With its thoughtful design, forward-looking technology, and sheer versatility, it’s more than a purchase; it’s an upgrade to my entire gaming lifestyle.

“This PlayStation 5 Slim is amazing. It keeps all the power and performance you expect from a PS5 — lightning‑fast loading, stunning 4K visuals, and smooth gameplay — but in a much sleeker, more compact design that fits perfectly in any entertainment setup. The SSD gives plenty of space for a big game library, and the DualSense controller still delivers immersive haptic feedback and adaptive triggers. It’s easy to set up right out of the box and feels like a premium upgrade to my gaming station. Highly recommended for both new gamers and anyone upgrading their console!”

Performs super well, basically no loading screens. The storage is just enough for all my games plus some! The PS5 fits perfectly on my desk without taking up too much space! I really love my PS5 and I’m so glad I upgraded!

This PlayStation 5 Slim was a gift for my son, and it has been one of the best purchases I’ve made as a parent. Beyond the sleek design and performance, what stands out most is how seamlessly it supports creative, thoughtful, and structured gameplay. My child has special needs, and stability matters. The PS5’s smooth performance, fast loading, and intuitive interface make a huge difference. There’s no frustration, no lag, no confusion — just a calm, engaging experience that lets him focus on learning and play. We’ve been able to move away from passive screen habits and toward games that encourage imagination, planning, and problem-solving. The parental controls give me confidence, while the system gives him independence. This console isn’t just powerful — it’s inclusive, reliable, and thoughtfully designed for families like ours.

I recently got the PlayStation 5 Slim, and it’s everything I hoped for. It has the same power as the original PS5 but in a slimmer, cleaner design that takes up less space. Setting it up was super easy, and the new look fits perfectly in my setup without feeling bulky. Performance is amazing—games load fast, graphics are beautiful, and everything runs smooth. The DualSense controller is still one of my favorite parts: the haptic feedback and adaptive triggers make gameplay feel so immersive. It’s also pretty quiet compared to older PlayStations I’ve owned, and the storage upgrade option makes it flexible for downloading more games. Overall, the PS5 Slim feels like the best version of the console yet: sleek, powerful, and future-proof. Totally worth it if you’ve been waiting to upgrade or finally jump into next-gen gaming.

I upgraded to the PlayStation 5 Slim after using a PS4 for years, and the difference is night and day. The performance is incredibly smooth, load times are almost instant, and games look amazing in 4K with very stable frame rates. The Slim design is noticeably smaller and fits much better in my entertainment setup while still staying very quiet, even during long gaming sessions. The DualSense controller is another highlight — the haptic feedback and adaptive triggers really add immersion, especially in action and racing games. Storage is generous, and setup was quick and easy. Backward compatibility with PS4 games works flawlessly, which made the transition painless. Overall, this console feels fast, modern, and well-built. Highly recommended for both new players and anyone upgrading from an older PlayStation.

“I recently got my hands on the PlayStation 5, and it’s been an incredible experience. The design is sleek and modern, and it’s surprisingly quiet during gameplay. The performance is flawless, with lightning-fast load times and stunning graphics that make games look more immersive than ever. The new DualSense controller offers a fantastic, responsive feel, especially with its haptic feedback and adaptive triggers. Whether you’re playing action-packed games or exploring open worlds, the PS5 truly elevates the gaming experience. Highly recommended for any gamer!”

I don't have as interesting a story to tell about my second PlayStation 5 as I did my first but I don't want to wait outside a Best Buy for another 30 hours and make more new friends. So now that we have passed the “how easy it is to get one of these now” part of the story let's talk about the system. The 1st one I bought 2 years ago is the original size one. This one is slim, it is sleeker and smaller but not so much you can tell, maybe 35% smaller. It is easier to lay flat with little feet that you place in the middle underneath, instead of this awkward disc pedestal that came with the original. I also bought extended SSD drives for both of my PS5s and they were the exact same process, not much different from the original to this one. There was an extra boot up screen because the disk drive can now be sold separately for those who want to buy a PS5 without and then get a drive for disc later. However, only aesthetic differences can one see between the original and the slim PS5. On the original the front ports are 1 USB-B and 1 USB-C and 2 USB-B on the back. On this slim, there are 2 USB-C on the front (one labeled SSD for external memory, if you don't go with the internal extended memory) but still works to charge controllers, and 2 USB-B on the back. Performance is the same beauty is the same, everything about it is just awesome. I may have to keep this one and give the other one to the children. Be sure to get some extended memory, external or internal. For internal most stores sell them for or with PS5 in mind for saving and downloading. Install videos for the internal are all over YouTube.

recently ordered a PS5 from Best Buy, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. The ordering process was simple and straightforward, and the delivery was quick and well-packaged, so the console arrived in perfect condition. Setting it up was smooth, and the PS5 itself is absolutely amazing—super fast load times, crisp graphics, and a sleek design that looks great in my setup. I’ve been playing games nonstop, and the performance feels next-level. Best Buy kept me updated throughout the shipping process, which gave me peace of mind. Overall, it was a stress-free purchase, and I’m beyond satisfied!

I gotta say, the PS5 is off the charts awesome! Seriously, it's like stepping into a whole new gaming universe. First off, let's talk speed. This thing loads games faster than I can blink. No more waiting around forever just to start playing. Plus, the graphics? Mind-blowing. Everything looks so real, it's like you're actually in the game. Now, let's chat about the controller. It's like magic in your hands. The vibrations and stuff make it feel like you're right there in the action. And those triggers? They change depending on what you're doing. It's nuts! Oh, and the menu? Super easy to use. No more getting lost trying to find your games. Plus, there are cool new features that make playing with friends a breeze. And don't even get me started on the games. There's something for everyone, whether you're into shooting, racing, or exploring. You'll never run out of stuff to play. Seriously, if you're a gamer, you need to get your hands on a PS5. It's a total game-changer. Trust me, you won't regret it!

The PlayStation 5 has completely transformed my gaming experience. From the moment I turned it on, I could tell this was more than just a console—it’s a powerhouse built for next-level gaming. The graphics and performance are jaw-dropping. With its 4K capabilities and ray tracing, games look unbelievably realistic, immersing you in detailed worlds like never before. The fast load times, thanks to the SSD, are a game-changer. I barely have time to grab a drink before I’m in the middle of the action—no more endless loading screens! The DualSense controller is another standout feature. The haptic feedback and adaptive triggers make every game feel unique, whether you're pulling back a bowstring in Horizon Forbidden West or feeling the tension of the track in Gran Turismo 7. It’s incredibly immersive and enhances the gameplay in ways I didn’t think were possible. The design of the PS5 is sleek and futuristic, though it’s definitely larger than previous consoles. It fits well in my setup, and the silent operation is a huge plus—no more loud fans during intense gaming sessions. One of my favorite features is the backward compatibility with PS4 games. I can replay my favorite titles with enhanced graphics and smoother performance. The PlayStation Plus library is also packed with amazing games, giving me endless options. If there’s one minor drawback, it’s the storage space. While the SSD is fast, the 825GB fills up quickly with large game files, so I’d recommend getting an external drive or upgrading the storage. Overall, the PS5 is worth every penny. It’s not just a gaming console—it’s an entertainment system that delivers unmatched performance, immersive gameplay, and a glimpse into the future of gaming.

From the moment I received this product, I knew it was going to be something special. The packaging was secure, the setup was super simple, and within minutes everything was ready to go. The performance has been absolutely flawless – fast, smooth, and reliable every single time I use it. What really surprised me is the combination of power and design. It doesn’t just work perfectly, it also looks sleek and modern, which makes it a great addition to my home. The build quality feels premium and durable, so I know it’s going to last for years. Another thing I love is how user-friendly it is. Even if you’re not very tech-savvy, it’s designed in a way that’s intuitive and easy to use. I’ve used it daily and it hasn’t disappointed me once. Overall, this has completely exceeded my expectations. It’s rare to find a product that delivers on every promise, but this one truly does. If you’re on the fence about getting it – don’t hesitate. You’ll be glad you did!

There's not much I can say about the PS5 that people might not already know. My favorite feature is the controller, by far. The haptic feedback is awesome! Of course the quality of the resolution is good and the processing is blazing fast. I didn't expect it to be as fast as it is. The one bad thing I can think of, is it can get hot. Buy an after market fan and that'll solve that problem quickly. If you haven't upgraded yet, do yourself a favor and make that jump. You'll be happy you did. I play on it just about every day.

We bought the PS5 Slim from Best Buy, and honestly, we wouldn’t trade it for anything in this world! This console has completely taken over our living room in the best way possible. The customer service we received while buying it was next-level. The staff at Best Buy were absolutely wonderful—so helpful, friendly, and patient while guiding us through the purchase. They didn't just help us pick out the console; they also gave us some incredible game recommendations. They pointed us toward a few specific titles that they promised my girlfriend would love, and they nailed it. She is completely obsessed with them and we haven't resold a single one! My girlfriend and I are absolutely hooked. She is on it all the time playing Call of Duty, and we have a blast going back and forth on it. When I'm not jumping into CoD, I am obsessed with playing Monster Jam—the graphics, the load times, and the overall performance make the gameplay feel incredibly smooth and realistic. Quick heads-up for buyers: The console only comes with one controller out of the box. Because we both love playing so much, we immediately picked up a second controller from Best Buy. And yes, I picked out the galactic purple controller—it is 100% mine, and it looks absolutely awesome. It works flawlessly and feels great in hand. Huge thanks to the great people working at Best Buy for making this such an awesome experience. If you are on the fence about upgrading to the PS5 Slim, just do it!

The best console I love it ! Works great , fast and easy to play, PlayStation was very well protected in box Controller is good ! It has a good storage capacity highly recommend for kids , teens and adults

Hey! So, I got my hands on a PS5, and I have to say, it's pretty amazing. The design is super sleek and futuristic, although it's quite big, so you might need to rearrange your setup a bit. Performance-wise, it's a beast. With its custom AMD processor and GPU, games look stunning with ray tracing and can run in 4K at up to 120fps. It even supports 8K output, which is pretty wild. The SSD is a game-changer too—load times are practically non-existent. It comes with 825GB of storage, but keep in mind that the usable space is less because of system files. You might want to expand it if you have a lot of games. The DualSense controller is probably my favorite part. The haptic feedback and adaptive triggers make gaming feel more immersive than ever. Plus, it has a built-in mic and feels great in your hands. As for games, there weren't tons of exclusives at launch, but that's been improving. And it's awesome that you can play most of your PS4 games with better performance. The user interface is really intuitive and fast, making it easy to navigate through settings and notifications without leaving your game. It's also a solid media center, supporting streaming apps and playing 4K UHD Blu-rays. Initially, it was tough to find one due to supply issues, and prices vary depending on whether you get the standard or digital edition. But overall, if you're looking for cutting-edge gaming tech and an immersive experience, the PS5 is definitely worth considering!

I’ve been very happy with my PS5 Slim. It’s fast, quiet, and the loading times are incredibly quick. The graphics are amazing, and the DualSense controller adds a whole new level of immersion to gaming. Setup was simple, and everything has worked perfectly so far. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a powerful and reliable next-generation console.

As a longtime gamer, I always get excited about new consoles. But when I finally got my hands on the PS5, it completely blew me away. Graphics & Performance: A New Level of Gaming The moment I launched Demon’s Souls, I was stunned. The 4K visuals, realistic lighting, and fluid animations were on another level. But what impressed me the most was the ultra-fast SSD—load times are almost nonexistent, making gameplay incredibly smooth. Playing Spider-Man: Miles Morales in 60 FPS with ray tracing felt like a true next-gen experience. DualSense Controller: Unmatched Immersion One of the biggest surprises was the DualSense controller. The adaptive triggers in Call of Duty mimic the resistance of different weapons, making each shot feel unique. The haptic feedback in Astro’s Playroom is even more impressive—you can literally feel the difference between walking on metal, sand, or ice. This controller changes the way games feel. Game Library: A Mix of Classics and Innovation As a die-hard PlayStation fan, the PS5’s exclusive lineup made it an easy choice. Games like Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart and Final Fantasy XVI showcase the console’s power beautifully. Plus, backward compatibility means I can enjoy PS4 classics like God of War and Ghost of Tsushima with better performance. Final Verdict: A Must-Have for Gamers! The PS5 isn’t just a gaming console—it’s a revolutionary experience. With its powerful hardware, game-changing controller, and incredible game lineup, it’s a must-have for every gamer. If you’re still on the fence, go for it—you won’t regret it!

After not being able to get a PS5 in 2020 due to buying a (at the time) $1,700 dollar PC gaming rig. The way my friends spoke about it was basically saying that the PS5 was a pipe dream. So I finally got one in the beginning of May to play God of War Ragnarok, Spiderman Miles Morales, Gran Turismo and Spiderman 2. After installing and setting it up it is 100% worth the hype and praise for a 500 dollar console. It runs beautifully at 60fps on all of my games I purchased, and even on games like NBA 2K and Madden having those frames and performance boosts can make or break your competitive games. What I also love the most about it is 2 things, one is having a optional security passcode for each time you turn on your PS5 and logging in. Even though I use it only in my house it helps when uninvited guests come over and try to play your console without permission. And the 2nd thing is that the gameplay capture system on board has been greatly improved from the PS4. You can now on the fly record or snap clips from up to a 1 hour ago, and now you can snap as little as 10 seconds, to 15, 30, 1 minute, 5, and then 10 minutes and beyond. The footage is also crystal clear surprisingly at 1080P 60FPS with your choice of upping to 1440P or 4K. Huge step up from the PS4 as a content creator, YouTuber, or Streamer. I also love the new PS5 controller! It is such a step up from the PS4 controller that I loved and they made improvements. Firstly the battery lasts 3 to 4 times longer than the PS4 controller battery, has an onboard mic in the controller and toggle mute button that I didn't even find out until a couple nights ago. And it also features an almost engraved Playstation button pattern for the controller shell, and has adaptive triggers that will enhance gameplay and adjust depending on the game you're playing. I've also purchased 3 PS5 Dualsense Edge Pro controllers for my games I play competitively on console and each controller I can set up to my exact liking and have up to 4 profiles on each. Just simply plug in run the software update and you're good to go. Will come in handy when I have friends over and we fire up fighting games or sports games. And the best part, is how it captures the PS3 era with specific games playing a theme to it on the home screen when you hover over your game. Overall, it is a great console and makes me wish I could've gotten it sooner before I switched to PC gaming. I always been a PlayStation kid since the original Sony PlayStation, all the way up to the PlayStation 5. And each console has not let me down. I genuinely feel like a kid again unboxing my new PlayStation for the first time. And I'm already loving the exclusives that PlayStation has to offer along with recommended modern titles like God of War and Need For Speed. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to save New York from Rhino and Sandman with Peter Parker and Miles Morales!

I recently purchased this PS5 and the experience has been amazing so far. The setup was quick and straightforward, and the performance is incredibly smooth. Games load much faster compared to my previous console, and the graphics look fantastic. The controller also feels great in hand and the haptic feedback really adds to the immersion while playing. I also appreciate how quiet the console runs even during longer gaming sessions. Overall, I’m really happy with this purchase. It’s a huge step up in performance and makes gaming much more enjoyable.
