I ordered my Plunge on March 5th, spending a total of $8,387.92—$7,990 for the unit and $165.92 for checkout protection in case anything arrived damaged. I was genuinely excited about this purchase, but the entire experience has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing.
When the unit arrived on March 13th, the shipping company didn’t deliver it to the location I specified—they just dropped it at my front door. No call, no setup. When I inspected it, I noticed visible scratches on the unit. For something that cost me this much, that’s unacceptable.
I had to rent a skid out of my own pocket just to move it to the correct spot. I followed the installation instructions, and within two hours, I noticed water on the floor. I opened the unit and found it was leaking from the heat exchanger.
I contacted support immediately. At first, they offered a credit or a replacement—but that quickly changed to a warranty repair and a $500 refund. A technician came on April 10th (nearly a month after delivery), and while he was great and professional, the unit started leaking again just a few hours after he left.
That was the breaking point. I asked to return the Plunge, and was told I’d have to cover shipping and a 15% restocking fee. After pushing back, they agreed to waive the restocking fee—but still insisted I pay for shipping.
This whole situation has been completely unacceptable. I paid a premium price for what was supposed to be a high-quality product, but ended up with a damaged and defective unit, had to deal with delays, repairs that didn’t solve the issue, and now I’m expected to pay more to return it?
If you’re thinking about buying this, be aware of the risks and how little responsibility the company takes when things go wrong. I really wanted to love this product, but the experience has been nothing but stress, cost, and disappointment.
