Bought this GPU for my system as an upgrade from a r7 250 1gb ddr5. The 2 gb ddr5 this GPU has makes a phenomenal difference. My PC runs on an i3 6100, basic mobo, 8gb ddr4, 1080p 60 hz monitor. and now this brand new GTX 1050. I was a little worried that the 2gb version of this card wouldn't be worth the money but it is. I have played Planetside 2 a lot with this card. Used to play on Low Settings and got ~30 fps. Now I can easily play on Ultra and get 60 fps when doing non-graphic heavy stuff but in the middle of a firefight with lots of other players (as it happens to be in Planetside) it drops to ~25 or so. But you can lower your settings to gain a more consistent frame rate. I also played COD IW Zombies at the recommended settings (which look great imo) at 60 fps. Assassins creed black flag can be handled well also. At Ultra settings, the card does struggle. But this card isn't for ultra. At medium to high settings, even on the seas, I easily got a consistent 60 fps. To recap, this is for casual pc gamers who like their games to look nice at 1080p, don't need 4k resolution at 100fps (read overkill graphics), and don't wan't to spend lots of cash.

I purchased this video card to correct one the many faults of Windows 10. An update rendered the on-board graphics processor unable to drive the monitor at 1920X1080. I needed something inexpensive, reasonably modern, and available that day. Enter the GeForce GTX 1050. It's a reasonably plucky little card, smooths playback of some videos, once again allows for full display on the monitor, and installation is a snap. I'm used to working on my own builds, so upgrading a factory box was actually kind of a pleasure. This card is a good buy for anyone trying to future proof themselves for a few years, but it certainly isn't for an enthusiast game.

This works great and easily installs easily, both software-wise and hardware. It's not as long as other cards and require no extra power outlet. AVOID the 1050Ti version -- especially for Mac OS Sierra

simple set up outstanding graphics for a 1050 2gb pny card works really good for most graphical needs like simple gaming and simple photo video editing but again don't expect more then what you are paying for its affordable and good but nothing out of the special its a really decent card for under 200 dollars the only drawback mines was missing the software dvd media drivers so I had to download then manually from the nvidia website other wise this car its really good for general daily used so I do highly recommended for any one who is upgrading from integrated graphics or older video cards instead it all good do go in my opinion

I'm not a gamer. I use my desktop for photo editing. With some of the latest RAW converters taxing my older video card, I thought I would try this card to see if improvement could be made. Definitely yes! I now get immediate response when adjusting the various photo editing sliders in my two main programs. HDR rendition and PANO stitching are much quicker. This is an excellent video card for the price, and met my needs perfectly. For the truly hard core gamers out there the next version up may be required.

I bought this just to play Battlefield 1 and while I can't run it at full ultra settings the game is smooth and looks amazing. Great GPU for the price.

Holds up to expectations. I bought this to not break my wallet and still be able to play games with decent graphics, very power efficient if looking to go into bitcoin mining as well

Easy to install in my dell XP’s 8600 2013 model. Saw a noticeable improvement using Corel photoshop and streaming video online. Purchased during Black Friday sale and glad I did.

This card is perfect for e-sport type games. I mostly play Overwatch and it handles it great. Graphics at full. I have even used this to play Battlefield 1 but It couldnt handle at full graphics. The card is nice and small which is good as my computer didnt have a lot of room in the case.

I purchased this for my son. He had an older video card and likes to play games like GTA and Minecraft. He claims this new card has allowed him to crank up the resolution and fps so he definitely likes this new addition.

I was building up a game PC for a friend's son, and cost was a major issue. He plays Steam games, and needed a better video than the motherboard. This card is a great compromise between cost and performance. His Steam games play well now, and he's happy.

After reading lots of reviews and spec comparing sites I knew this is the card I had to get for my sons' first PC build. Best buy had the best price. He plays all of his higher end games no problem.

Great value - The video card performs admirably for the price point I have it controlling two 27” monitors. The performance and refresh rates are good. Windows 10 recognized with no issues.

I was thrown off because pNY is usually not usually one of the higher tier graphic card manufactueres, but works great and saved money.

Makes a great second card for mining and installation is quick and easy. Recommended for extra computing power other than games. (SLI is not on board) seems to be enough to run most games on mid range, but look at my tag Notagamer

Replaced my old power hungry card with this one. This card is more powerful but doesn't require external power other than the motherboard.
