I love the Pokemon series. One of the things I hated was that I came in too late to play Ruby and Sapphire(I started in the next generation). When I heard that these games were coming out, I was psyched. When the games finally came out in November, I looked around at all the stores in the area and Best Buy had a great deal for it. Thank you Best Buy.

I'll try to avoid spoilers as much as possible in this review... somewhat hard to with the extras that are included. First thing... it is a Pokemon game. They've been making them for long enough that most people know what they are signing up for. A "kids game" that has some excellent RPG elements to it. Gotta Catch em All. Weaken your opponent, POKEBALL GO! Second thing, it gives you the complete Ruby/Sapphire experience. Full game, second playthrough. If you liked it 12 years ago, you'll appreciate experiencing it in 3D with the updated character models, and mega evolutions of some of your favorite pokemon. The real reason I gave this 5 stars is the additional content they added. Without spoiling too much, I will say that you can get EVERYTHING you got in original Ruby/Sapphire... and they add some additional content in the Delta Episode (you'll know it when you get to it).

Pokemon Ruby redone, always a great game! Easy to play, lots of pokemon, mega evolution, extra quest line at the end. Much content to enjoy.

Pokemon ORAS surprised me in its depth and gameplay. My one gripe is that with the added exp share, Your Pokemon's levels tend to increase a lot quicker than the in-game players (making the game not challenging at all). Instead of opting to turn the exp share off, I wish the game would have increased the opponent levels to make the game more challenging. However, the value and content this game provides is worlds beyond most.

Omega Ruby is excellent remake that truly stands out among the others in the franchise. With over 700 different Pokémon you won't get bored searching for new ones, but on top of that it gives old players of the originals a great sense of nostalgia and good memories. That's not to say that this game isn't for newcomers, because they will have just as much fun with this game than the nostallic players. Graphics: The 3D graphics look awesome on the 3DS, and everything from the Pokémon to the environments look great in the new edition. Gameplay: If you've played other Pokémon titles then you know what to expect. It's the same old fashion game, but of course with a polished update that makes the series feel fresh and entertaining. What's Different: Of course X & Y introduced Mega Evolve and this game is no exception to that new type of temporary Pokémon evolution. For players who didn't play the last games in the franchise just know all you have to do is find special stone to make your Pokémon do this special evolution. I don't remember if this was in the original, but in the 3DS remake you can actually sneak up on Pokémon you see hiding in the grass. Story: The story isn't the best, but then again the gameplay and catching Pokémon is what matters in a Pokémon game, and it more than excels at doing those two things very well. Bottom line is that Pokémon Omega Ruby is a must play for all fans of the series.

This game looks great, has updated graphics and features, and is a lot of fun.

This is a beautiful remake of a game that I cherished as a child. It compares in graphics to Pokemon X and Y but there is definitely more "production value" in this version. If you've already played either Ruby, Sapphire, or Emerald then you will be pleasantly surprised at the amount of content and enjoyment you will get from this version.

Very much enjoyed the original ruby and sapphire, the new omega ruby adds awesome new twists/features to the story line and tells the story with detailed graphics. Just when I thought the original ruby and sapphire where my favorite, I stand corrected and now have a new favorite.

If you never played a pokemon game before then this is a good one to start off with. The graphics are nice. the world is fun to explore and there is tons to do. If you have played a pokemon game before then you probably already know you will like this!

I bought Omega Ruby hoping to complete the pokedex I started in pokemon X. I was able to complete in 2 weeks with those two games alone and the GTS. The story was much improved and the new features extended the gameplay.

Great remake of the Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald GBA games. The graphics are crisp, the story line was enhanced a bit, and the overall gameplay was smooth. I think the game was a little too easy though; I remember Emerald being quite difficult in comparison to the other games in the franchise. Not a bad game by any means (a great remake), but I do feel that they could have done a little more with it.

This game does not just upgrade the graphics of the original Pokemon Ruby, it actually adds more features like DexNav and adds more elements to the story. There is a lot of water travel however, but that wasn't a big deal to me. Definitely worth picking up if you're a fan of Pokemon.

It's playing the old game all over again but with better graphics, who doesn't like playing an old game but updated and paying brand new price instead of finding the original for cheaper

I love Pokemon, and you should as well if you are willing to buy this game. The remake is nice for the new models of the 2 and 3DS. A little clunky compared to X and Y but I still love it

This brings back memories when I was a teenager playing this in the gba era. Great revamp of graphics and story is awesome with the new addition of delta episode in post game play.

This game is based off of the game boy advanced game pokemon ruby. The main story is essentially the same. The graphics have been updated greatly and are rich an fulfilling to look at. There are also now visual cut-scenes throughout the game that add to the story. After playing through this game it appears there are new moves and pokemon types so the combat system has slightly more depth than before. There are additional features and pokemon that were not originally included in the game boy advanced game. It's been an enjoyable experience and playthough. Gotta catch em all!

ORAS is the latest addition to the Pokemon VGC for 2015, It is a new spin on the original game play of Ruby and Sapphire, it keeps a lot of the original aspects of the game but adds some of the finer points developed in X and Y, the best part is if you have X or Y you can carry over caught Pokemon. With the addition of adding Pokemon Bank to your system you can Catch them All. I really have been enjoying the breeding aspect of the game and leveling up the Pokemon for online battles along with some of the meta games that are also available to those who enjoy that as well.

T his game is a great addition for any pokemon fan old or young! A remake of an old classic with enhancements, it will lead to hours of fun!

Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire are remakes of the original Ruby and Sapphire games that released on the Game Boy Advance back in 2003. Now these games have come back with 3D style battles taken from the X and Y games, more vibrant world, and much more than the original games ever had. If you never played the originals before, get these and see why they were so loved back in 2003, and experience it in an even better way.
