Take direct control of one of 21 prized Pokémon fighters to defeat other Pokémon in arena fights. Call upon Support Pokémon to assist in the fight, then unleash your Pokémon's unique Burst Attack to climb atop the ranks.

This game is a lot of fun. You get to battle as pokemon. I will say I felt like it would have been nice to have more pokemon available without needing DLC, admittedly 21 isn't tiny but I am enjoying it nonetheless. I will be buying the DLC to get more, lots of fun fighting to climb tournament rankings.

This is a good fighting game for fans of Pokémon. Out of all the playable characters available, there's bound to be one or two you may like to play.

Great Pokemon game! I'm a bit tired of the normal turn based matches and this mash-up with normal fighter game style is well made with many awesome favorite Pokemon. The Switch version includes all the improvements from the Wii U version.

This mash-up of games is so well done! Just what you would expect of a Pokemon game.

Pokken Tournament Deluxe is the definitive version of Pokken Tournament with the original being on Wii U. The first game brought in a very unique cast of Pokemon with some famous faces like Pikachu and Mewtwo and some not-so-famous Pokemon like Chandelure! In Pokken Tournament DX, they decided to bring in 5 more Pokemon to join the rumble, and with the cast getting bigger, you'll have more styles of play to see who you like best! Not to mention the amazing community behind this game that will help you hone your skills with open hearts. Pokken Tournament DX is a Pokemon fighting game worth dabbling into!

My son got a switch for Christmas and is obsessed with all things pokemon. He loved this game! He was able to get the hang of it fairly quickly and still loves to play! It really boosted his confidence to have a game he's good at without spending too much time on those long tutorials. He's still fairly young so he gets frustrated with having to "learn to play" when he would much rather jump straight into game play.

I'm really enjoying my time with Pokken Tournament DX. I like it more than I anticipated. I wasn't expecting so many things to keep me coming back, like the ability to purchase different items for my in game avatar (clothes, glasses, caps, etc). I wish the resolution of the game was higher when playing on a TV, but overall the graphics are nice, the gameplay is varied, and the fighting is fun, frantic, and controls perfectly. Definitely worth adding to your Nintendo Switch game library!

I bought Pokken Tournament for the Switch to play with my 6 and 4 year old boys since we recently finished playing through Sun and Moon. Let me start off with a warning: This is a fighting game, not a typical Pokemon game. We knew this going in but the boys were a little disappointed anyway. We've had a solid couple weeks of evenings playing this gorgeous game now. The menus, the arenas, the characters, the Pokemon, and the moves look crisp and beautiful. Some of the text got blurry for my eyes but didn't distract from play. The sound is great but the music got to the point where we would turn on the TV or some music of our own to listen to while we played. The game itself is, at least for me and my kids, simple enough to really get into for a little while but we quickly found out favorite Pokemon to beat matches with easily against the computer. Fighting other people really makes the game a challenge and fun, except against button mashers. My kids will build up their supers pressing the buttons wildly and then destroy opponents, which gets old quick playing against them... I'm not much of a fighting game guy and I'm sure I just haven't figured out the correct characters with the counter moves for such strategies, but trouncing the little ones makes them quit as much as getting beaten by them makes me bored... Bottom line: We've had a lot of fun playing since we bought it but are back to Zelda's DLC after 2 weeks of evenings unlocking and leveling Pokemon fighters. Your mileage will vary!

This game basically brings pokemon battles to life in the best way possible, striking visuals along with easy to pick up but hard to master controls make this an excellent fighting game with tons of challenges and unlockables. Easily a great pick for any Switch owner

Just finished the game, originally bought it in Oct after trying it at local Best Buy. Totally awesome graphics with great FX and controls. Would recommend for people looking for some street fighter/mortal kombat action for your Pokemons!

This game is really fun. It's a great game to play with friends. It runs and looks great in handheld mode and tv mode. If you have a switch, like Pokemon, and/or want a game to play a few rounds then get this game

As a fighting game, it actually isn't too bad. The skewed perspective will take some getting used to but technically it is sound. It had the benefit of being on the Switch early on but with the fighting game library growing on the platform, this isn't as "must have" as before.

My only con for this game is the limited character selection considering the pool of diverse characters they have to choose from. Other than that it's a great combination of easy to learn and hard to master with plenty of the rock, paper, scissors gameplay all good fighting games employ.

I debated whether or not to get the Switch version after having it for the Wii U, but I’m glad I did. This is the perfect portable game with quick matches. And, it’s great fun, so I’d go for it.

I’m a huge fighting game fan but never really knew much about Pokémon. When I managed to play the demo at Best Buy I was encouraged by the gameplay and decided to pick this game up when I bought my switch. Definitely worth it. It seems fairly easy for casual players to pickup and have fun in my brief experience considering when I took my switch to my workplace and let my coworkers play it (some of whom don’t own a gaming system or game) they managed to handle it well and have fun. For more experienced fighter players I believe it has the message game components to make it a fun competitive fighter. Worth every penny!
