The delivery came exactly on the day that was predicted. I haven’t played the game yet, but I enjoyed the older game on the DS, so I have high hopes that this will be a great game as well!

I was so excited when this was announced during the Pokemon Direct! Easily one of my favorite remakes for the Switch! Gameplay: Plays almost similarly to the original, though recruitment has been made easier through certain rare qualities. Controls are straightforward. Difficulty increases drastically in the post game. Story: It's short but sweet, it took me less than a week to make it to the post game. No changes from the original other than some camera angles being played with during certain events Art Style: Adorable! Matches well to the illustrations made for the original Difficulty: Story dungeons feel easy but post game is much harder. You will need to grind later in the game. Overall this is a great game! Definitely pick it up if you played Red/Blue Rescue Team, you'll enjoy it!

Timeless classic and great redux. I do miss the IQ system but the Rare Qualities mechanics is definitely preferable. The music and artwork, along with great gameplay make this a must buy. It does feel a lot easier then the originals, due to the Dojo changes and rescue rewards at low levels often having big buffs. As a casual game, it's perfect for the Switch and now even better for traveling due to the new auto-save.

i’m not going to bullshxt you here. this game is gorgeous. and i’m not just saying that because i played it in the seventh grade with my friend sara. i’m saying this because it is the truth. the art style has been updated and the classic dungeon crawler with a pokémon tint is HERE and it is here to stay. well, at least until animal crossing comes out. i mean, come on, so they not have a release schedule buffer? animal crossing is right around the corner guys, i can’t finish this before it comes out. and you already know: when animal crossing comes out, everything else goes to the cosmos. i’m talking divine separation from my ability to concentrate on anything else that isn’t animal crossing. alright bottom line this game is good. it’s pretty. old school dungeon crawling rpg game for the switch. it works for kids. it works for me. my dog i’ll eventually grow up and play this game too. if the regular pokémon games were too hard for you then this will bemuse you as well, just in a different way. 5/5 stars. would take a test to become a mudkip only to get totodile like an idiot and then retake the test to get my desired outcome again.

Do you like cutesy games? Do you like puzzles? Are you trying to incorporate tactics in turn-based combat? If so, you will love this game! It is a remake of Pokemon Blue Rescue Team from the Nintendo DS and Pokemon Red Rescue Team from Gameboy Advance. The graphics are updated and the music is crisp. It's also great that some newer features like Mega Evolution are incorporated into the game. The nostalgia factor is very strong and I feel like a kid again.

Charming in every way: the art style, the animations, the characters, the writing. The turn based dungeon game play itself might not be for everyone, but I found it refreshing and endearing enough to enjoy. There is a pretty lengthy demo of the game on the eShop, so if you're unsure about it I would recommend trying that out. Plenty of post-game content as well which is always nice.

It's just like the red and blue team games from back in the days just with some fine tuning and the art is awesome. The story is rich and emotional. I recommend this game for those who want to introduce a kid friendly Diablo lol

Mystery dungeon was my first introduction into Pokemon games and the reboot is splendid. I love reliving the joy I had playing this as a kid and on top of it, the updated art and style is just so engaging.

I played the Original and was hesitant to get it, but I’m so glad I did, this game brings back so many memories and the art is amazing, it’s like staring at an animated Painting.

DX is a well made remake of the original Rescue Team games. Very nostalgic and charming! Though a bit too easy, from what I've seen (I've only played a few hours)

This game has caused nothing but anger and frustration in my house. My kids pooled their money to buy it, and now they both wish they could return it. The game is engineered to force each person to have their own Switch hardware, much like a DS. The problem is that multiple Switch users are forced to share an island and compete for resources. Everything one user does affects all other users on the system, so essentially there is only one save file common to all users. My daughter started the island and started building a village. She laid out a plan for what resources she needed and how to spend her in-game currency. My son waited patiently for his turn and started a "new" game under his profile and began harvesting/collecting resources, but soon discovered that he cannot build any houses or add to the village since it's my daughter's island. Now that he has cut down trees and smashed up the big rocks on the island, she has to wait several days in real-time for them to respawn. Neither of them can progress right now. My daughter rarely plays the Switch, but she was so much looking forward to this game that she decided that the easiest way around the sharing issues was to use all of her savings to buy a Switch Lite. We soon discovered that, unlike with other Switch games, Animal Crossing data cannot be moved to a new Switch! And we cannot make my son the owner of their island, so his progress will always be limited by a user profile that won't get played anymore. Both of my kids are proud of the progress they managed to make during the past week, and neither wants to start over, but it's a lose-lose situation for everyone.

My kids have been on a Pokemon kick for a while. They have also loved being able to play older games on the Nintendo Switch (ala the NES and SNES games in Nintendo Online), ones which have some nice improvements over the way they used to be. So this game hits a nice sweet spot - refreshed game in franchise that they love. They've been playing it a lot these last few months. It has definitely helped the time go by smoother during the COVID situation. Thank goodness for fun games.

It's a mission based dungeon crawler that features interaction between yourself, who has woken up as a Pokemon and the Pokemon Society that has taken you in. Battle system is a delight for old school gamers and the new art style and music suit it very well. Having never played the original I can't say what's different except the merging of both Red and Blue Mystery Dungeon storylines.

This is a good games but, I have a slight problem with it . The way it controls. The environments are 3d and you can used the joystick to play the game don't get me wrong but your locked in 8 directions of movement. This wouldn't be so bad if the base switch had an actual dpad but since your left with buttons its kinda funky to move around as is. But add the fact the dpad is in a TERRIBLE spot its kinda a headache to play in my option. Like do you go with the controls what give your hand a bit of a cramp but you can get a better sense of the movement or do you go with the one that feels better on your hand but gives you (in my option) worse movement. But besides the controls the game looks pretty and the story (to what I got up to) is really good. i just stopped playing because I don't like how it controls and its a shame because i really wanna see how the story unfolds but i just don't like the movement options so I'm stuck.

My kids wanted this game for quite a while. When I finally got it, my kids gone wild. The kids love this game. They read the reviews on this game and have been waiting patiently for a while. Now, they have been playing this game non-stop, because of the COVID-19 shelter-in-place orders, but there not complaining.

This game is really interesting because you actually ARE a Pokémon. Instead of completing a journey to different cities -like in the other Pokémon games- you do daily resucites/tasks and return to you team base at the end of each day. This game was also released on the Nintendo DS several years ago if you have played that.
