Purchased this item to replace a New Balance Life Trn so that I wouldn't have to stop and take my heart rate constantly. I already owned the Nike + GPS tracker but it does not track heart rate on it's own. This Polar Wearlink hooked right up to the tracker so now I can actually see my heart rate AND calorie burn. Bonus, something I didn't expect is that when I get on the treadmill with this on it syncs up and the heart rate monitor on the treadmill shares the same heart rate with my band. (Sometimes it's a few beats off, but that's normal I think). I have used this for BeachBody DVD calorie counting/heart rate monitor and also when doing Stand Up Paddle Boarding. I have fallen in a few times with this item on and not had any problems with it. I have washed the band a few times and air dry it (especially after falling in the brackish water of the lake). Also, the clasp isn't in the back so I haven't had any problems if I have to do an exercise while lying down. My husband is jealous and I probably should get him one, too!

Very easy to set up. Just click it on and you're good to go! I love that it connects to my Nike+ GPS sportwatch AND virtually every cardio machine that I use in the gym! It's also comfortable to the point that I forget I even have it on. Washes well if you follow care instructions.

Polar is the ultimate in reliability, and operational performance, given the limits of the item and it's use. I have utilized polar devices for more than 27 years, and still have some that are 27 years old and work flawlessly. This item is modern and updated with a user change battery. It is specifically for the NIke-Polar-Apple partnership of exercise equipment, and Polar does it's part to keep up. This replaced an older one. The older one was (10) years old, and was not properly maintained. It had a life expectancy of (2) years. If every manufacturer of items described a shelf life of (2) years, but gave (10), wouldn't it be a wonderful world? Great job Polar!

Good Heart Rate Monitor, quick to connect to my Nike + watch. Unfortunately it does not have any other communication protocol to allow it to be used with another app.

I purchased this out of curiosity I wanted to see what my heart rate was while I am running I run a average of 7 to 10 miles a day and it is great

This heart rate monitor works equally well with my Polar watch as well as my Nike GPS watch. It's very comfortable and is a great value. I highly recommend it to all running and workout enthusiasts.

This is my second heart rate monitor from polar. They work great. Extremely accurate and easy to use. It does what it's supposed to do, and it does it well. Works perfect with my Nike sports watch.

My wife and I both have Nike+ bands, and this product wouldn't link with either of them. BTW, it also won't let you sync your Nike+ band to your shoes if youl'd intended to use both at the same time. It's misleading to say it works with the Nike+ band without telling you that you won't be able to connect to your shoes. STAY AWAY!!!

The package is quite misleading as the device doesn't work with all Nike+ devices; in fact it works with quite few. It is pretty much just compatable with the iPod nano, it does not work with the iPhone or the iPod touch. I would love to see this product compatable with the iPhone and the iPod touch and I would buy it instantly.

Adds heart rate function to Nike+ Sports band. It work great !! I am glad I was able to purchase at Best Buy. Great Service and support.
