This little dye-sublimation printer is fantastic. It’s been years since I had my last one, which had similarly great print quality. It’s just that like many other people, we moved away from standard prints for a while. That said, I’ve always been drawn to the fun, square prints from Polaroid… but their instant cameras always let me down. Even their newest cameras struggle to print anything that isn’t very vintage looking (washed out, muddied). Some people love and want exactly that, but for the rest of us, Polaroid made this awesome little printer. __ Design __ Compact and battery operated, it still feels like it fits the ethos of Polaroid’s spur-of-the-moment instant prints. It’s very easy to throw into a bag and take along to print a new or existing photo from your phone for a friend on the fly. It also sits on a desk well, acting as a cool little frame for the print of your choice when not in use. I love this feature, it’s playful and the industrial design on the printer allows it to be an effective way to keep it handy and top of mind. This design is very straightforward, Polaroid’s signature chromatic strip adorns the top short edge while a simple power button and cartridge bay are easy to manipulate on the long sides. Like mentioned above, keeping it a simple white box allowed it to serve double-duty as a frame as well. __ Ease of Use __ It’s extremely easy to use. I downloaded the dedicated Polaroid printer app and it found my new printer instantly. After a quick firmware update, I could easily pick one of their frame or grid options and pop in a photo from my camera roll. Editing is simple, with familiar cropping and filter options. The app does a great job of showing your end result in a very 1:1 way from start to finish, all the way down to rendering the color passes the printer is doing to your print in real time. My only gripe is that if you don’t like the frame you initially chose, you can’t change it without starting over from scratch, which includes having to hunt down any photo(s) you may have selected, again. Hopefully Polaroid will fix this with an app update soon after release (and provide a recent photo view or similar.) One additional nit is that the options for frames at launch are somewhat limited (about 50-60 styles total, over several categories - sounds like a lot, but doesn’t feel that way.) __ Print Quality __ If you’re unfamiliar, dye-sublimation is a great printing technology to get very professional-quality prints at home. It works by heating up separate layers of ink on film and transferring them to the print over 3-4 passes. The end result is an instant print that’s vibrant, with good color reproduction and sharpness and just as durable as the prints you used to get from the store. Polaroid’s prints from this printer are unique in that they're always square - a perfect size for sharing and placing around the home. I’d choose these over instant camera prints any day. There’s no comparison, these are far superior. __ Overall __ This printer is the first from Polaroid in a while to feel more like a well-thought product for everyone, and less like a toy for niche enthusiasts. Print quality is great, the app works well and very nicely captures the fun of one-button simplicity that Polaroid is known for, even if you have more options at your disposal.

When I heard about the Polaroid Hi-Print printers, I was intrigued. There are several sizes of this diminutive photo printer, and this one produces 3X3 square prints. The thing is tiny. It is about the thickness of a paperback book, but not even as tall as my larger iPhone. It is a sleek monolithic device with almost no visible controls and openings other than an on and off switch, a USB-C port for charging and a slot on the top where your prints emerge. There is a plexiglass frame built into the front surface where you can display your favorite prints. What can it print? Any photos you have stored on the phone or in the cloud. through iCloud or Google Photos available to your device- whether taken 30 seconds ago or years in the past. The Hi-Print Photo app connects with the printer via Bluetooth. You must first charge the battery on the printer and download the latest firmware for proper operation. The download was quickly accomplished. Although not apparent at first blush, there is a side door on the printer that opens to allow installation of your print cartridge which holds 10 sheets. You just slide it in and shut the door. Using the software, you select the picture you want to print. You can then crop it and adjust the image as you please (or as you would with any other photo you were editing on your smartphone) by changing brightness, contrast, saturation and so forth to get the look you want. Then you press the print button. The print goes through several passes and partially emerges from the slot on the top of the printer on each pass. The technology is called dye-sublimation. The whole process takes less than a minute. To my eyes, this Polaroid produces prints of excellent quality, limited only by the source material you feed it. I was about to print a photo and got a a warning from the software that I might be disappointed with the results because the resolution of the photo was too low. Indeed, I remembered that the particular picture had been digitally zoomed in to fill the frame after I had snapped it on my smartphone. We are about to take a family trip in several weeks, and this printer will accompany us. It is simple and fun to use and produces quick prints that are instantly exchangeable among family members. A package of cartridges holding 30 sheets for printing runs about twenty five dollars, so each print will cost about 84 cents. Not cheap, but well worth the cost for the convenience and fun this printer offers. I highly recommend it.

This adorable Polaroid printer is so fun to use! It’s a bit of old school meets smart phone fun! Set up and pairing to my iPhone was very fast and easy. Charging the printer with a usb-c cable was quick (cable not included). The instructions are basic in the box are basic, but get you where you need to be ready to print pictures. Download the free Polaroid Hi-print app from your devices App Store and get ready to have a some fun. The printer comes with a 10 photo cartridge included in the box, which is a good start. (The replacement cartridges have 30 photo pages in those.) The pages are really nice sized 3x3 photos. I really enjoyed printing out some of my favorite pictures to put at my desk at work! I think there could be a few more frames and collage styles in the app, but there are enough to help create some cute visuals. The Polaroid photo printer does a really great job and the quality of prints are drastically better than an inkjet photo printer. The printer does a four stage print sequence of yellow, magenta, cyan, and then a protective layer. I’m not gonna lie, it is such odd therapy and a joy to watch the photos print. When they are done there is a little white strip at the bottom that makes it look like an old school Polaroid picture. The white strip is removable to give you a nice clean 3x3 photo keepsake, or fun little gift for someone else. I have a blast finding some of my favorite picture on my phone to print and have on my desk at work and to share with some of my favorite people. When the Polaroid printer is not in use and not charging, you can stand it up and use it as a photo frame which is a cute bonus! If you want a fun photo printer that doesn’t take up much space, this is it.

Polaroid hit a home run with this pocket-sized printer! I honestly thought that print quality would just be okay but nothing great. I'm glad I was 100% wrong and the print quality is actually really good! Setup was very easy, just download the Polaroid Hi-Print app and insert the printer paper cartridge. Then turn on the printer and have the app search for the printer. Once its setup for the first time I should remember the printer and auto connect whenever the printer is on. The app comes with some preloaded frames, a journaling collection, and collage templates. Just select the one you want to use, add your photo from your gallery or take a new one with your camera and click print. Once you add a photo you can also use the app to crop, add filters, FX effects, blur, or make adjustments. The app has pretty much everything you need to make some easy or fun edits before printing. The whole printing process takes about 30-40 seconds. The printer will first print a yellow layer, then magenta, then cyan, lastly it will put a protective cover on the photo. I'm assuming that there is no physical ink cartridge and it all relies on the paper that is used for printing. I like that I can easily print out some photos from my phone and use them to decorate my office, or easily give a photo to family members. I think it would be fun to travel with this little device and use it for group pictures so everyone can leave with a memento of the vacation!

I couldn’t wait to get my hands on the Polaroid Hi-Print printer! I have thousands of photos on my phone, and for some reason I always put off printing them. Not anymore! The Polaroid Hi-Print makes it incredibly easy to print photos directly from your phone. To get started, you just download the app, which is user-friendly and straightforward. It also has fun customization options for your prints. The printing process is quick you’ll have your photo in less than 30 seconds. The film cartridges come with only 10 sheets, so I recommend buying the bundle packs since they’re a better value. I was really impressed with the print quality. Just keep in mind that low-resolution photos may not print, so you may need to improve the image quality before printing. The printer is compact enough to fit almost anywhere. One thing to note is that it doesn’t come with a charging cable, but it works with any USB-C cable. I also love that the printer doubles as a photo display when you’re not using it. This printer is perfect for scrapbooking, journaling, decorating, or creating fun memories with the kiddos. Overall, it’s a fun, convenient, and easy way to finally get those favorite photos off your phone and into your hands!

I'm old and still remember the joy (sometimes sorrow) of sending your film off to be developed and waiting to get the envelope back to see your shots. It was always a fun time to congregate around the 'picture flipper' to see what embarrassing, fun, or beautiful shots we managed to get (before anyone could hide or steal them). We've lost a lot of that fun with digital photography. Early on it was still kinda the same, with everyone crowding around screens; but now with everyone having a fabulous cameral in their pocket, unlimited 'film', and instant processing, its kinda lost it's charm and immediacy. Now with the Polaroid Hi-Print 3x3, we get a bit of that joy back. I've had other small printers before but there were usually some very big caveats to the prints, whether it was size, clarity, or longevity. This is the first printer that I genuinely see me using a lot. Here's what I like about the Polaroid Hi-Print: 1. Small and Light: This thing can actually fit into a jacket pocket. Makes it easy to have around for those random fun times with friends and family. 2. Easy Set-up: I unboxed it, charged it, downloaded the app while charging, loaded the film pack, and then paired it up with my phone. Every step was easy and intuitive. The printer was recognized almost immediately and is usually ready to go within seconds of me hitting the power button. 3. App Is Easy To Use: The app has lots of nice features to fix your photos if you haven't taken the time in your phone's photo app, and there are some really nice collage, frame, and scrapbook frames/filters. I'm hoping they drop some more on us in the near future but for now it's a great start. 4. Photos Look Great: The photos printed by the Hi-Print are nice and colorful and as sharp as they are on your screen. My one single quibble with the Hi-Print is that the cropped photo you see on the screen isn't EXACTLY what you will get. There is a bit of a bleed and I would give yourself about a millimeter all around what you actually want printed. Other than that, they're great. I can't speak to their longevity yet because I've had it for less than a week but they look like lab printed photos so I hope they hold up as well. 5. The Smiles You Get: There is something magical about handing someone a photo. It's a little mini surprise and a keepsake. They may have already seen the picture on an Insta feed or on a screen somewhere, but to hold it in your hands and have it all the time, is just cool. Conclusion: I'm super stoked about the Polaroid Hi-Print 3x3. This is coming with me to our next friends get-together and I'm gonna go crazy. I'm gonna be like Oprah: "You get a picture! YOU get a picture!"

To no surprise, this new version of the Polaroid Hi-Print was outstanding. As someone who also owns a Polaroid Now+, I appreciate the compact size of the Hi-Print because it makes it way more portable than a typical Polaroid camera. The printer does require a separate app from the typical Polaroid app, but it wasn’t too much of an issue because the Polaroid Hi-Print app is straightforward and works well. Immediately after downloading the app, you are automatically logged into your Polaroid account if you were originally logged into the main Polaroid app. You have several options for photos: you can upload photos from your photo library or take photos directly within the app, which is a nice touch. But my favorite feature of the app is the customization options. Before printing, pictures can be edited in various ways so that each print is unique! The app allows fonts, stickers, and shapes to be added to photos, and there are even templates to make collages, or you can design your own collage. Printing is super easy, and once the photo is printed, there is a white strip at the bottom that can optionally be removed (removing it does not damage the photo), and you are left with your printed 3x3 photo. The sheets appear to be of good quality. They have a protective film on top. Each sheet cartridge holds 10 sheets of paper. I recommend printing brighter photos because I found that darker ones can be a bit more challenging to print correctly. I took a photo at night and attempted to print it, but the result was much darker than what the photo had looked like on my phone. I expected this. But just be aware that printing darker photos (especially those captured at night) will most likely not turn out super clear when printed. But as for brighter photos, the printer does a fantastic job at capturing the details, and I love that you can use the printer as a frame! I would recommend the Hi-Print to anyone who enjoys scrapbooking or crafting because the app allows you to be more creative beyond just normal photo printing. There are blank templates that can be customized with dates, stickers, and text. These can then be printed and used for crafts. Note that neither a power brick nor a cable is provided with the Hi-Print. The Hi-Print uses USB-C for charging, which is more universal now, so you may have a cable lying around. My only downsides are that neither a charger nor a charging cable is provided, and a separate application is needed for this Polaroid product. But neither of these downsides aren’t dealbreakers, and the versatility of this printer and its app is exceptional. This printer is definitely worth the purchase if you are looking for a photo printer that is portable, fun, and unique!

Finally, an easy way to print and save your favorite pictures from your phone! I don't know about you, but I have 10's of thousands of photos that just stay on my phone (or in the "cloud"). Previously, if I wanted a print, I had to send it to my local pharmacy and wait to pick it up (if there is ever anyone working at the "photo" center at the pharmacy!). Now, I can print my favorites right at home in a cute 3x3 inch size. I was worried it would look too small but it's actually just right. The printer comes with 10 sheets and I got a box with an extra 30 but I am still being cautious about what I print so as not to "waste" any printer ink or paper! The 30 sheet replacement cartridge costs $25 so not horrendous but I am not printing willy-nilly either. I feel like when I was growing up with film cameras and deciding carefully what I wanted to use one of my 25 shots on. (And you still didn't know how it came out until it was sent away for printing!). When the unit is printing, it will do one color at a time and start to spit out the print, pull it back in and layer on another color. Be patient! It looks bland at first but the final result is worth the wait! The color seems to be lasting. Not like polaroids of old that would crack or lose vibrancy after a while. Overall, this is a great way to keep and display your favorite shots. Fun for the kids as well. I am including templates the app has (I have not used them yet) but it could be fun to play around with different frames and looks.

I am a huge picture taker on all events and activities that I participate with. During those events I am always asked for copies of those pictures by others. I became interested in this product for the ability to print out the pictures right there on the spot. I am so glad I got this product, it is a ton of fun to use and is a great talking point for others. The ability to immediately print out the picture then hand it off to whomever wishes to have a copy is a ton of fun! It is great seeing their expression on their face! The setup is extremely easy, with the cartrage easily fits into the side. I was also very impressed with the battery length when using this product. The picture printout looks great in my opinon and upon creation of the picture it runs it through 3 times. It does not take long at all and is immediately able to be shared , no drying needed. I also liked the added bonus of placing it upright like a small picture frame to show off a picture. I also love how easily it is to travel with, I now take it where ever I go! Overall this is a great and fun product to use and strongly recommend it to anyone who loves taking and sharing pictures!

The Polaroid 3×3 Printer arrived in clean, typical retail packaging and includes everything you need to get started: the printer, a quick start guide, ten sheets of photo paper, and a handful of cute stickers for decorating prints. It doesn’t come with a charging cord, which felt a little odd at first, but since it uses a standard USB‑C connection, it wasn’t a real inconvenience. The quick start guide is refreshingly simple — just seven steps — and the setup process reflects that clarity. Loading the photo cartridge is effortless; it slides into the side of the printer and only fits one way, so there’s no guesswork. The companion app connected immediately and even handled a firmware update in just a few moments. Once it’s ready, the printer is genuinely fun to use. The app offers frames and creative options, but the real magic is watching the printing process itself. Each photo cycles in and out of the printer four times as it lays down each color layer, and you can literally see the image “developing” right in front of you. It feels like a blend of modern tech and old‑school instant‑photo charm. The photo quality is surprisingly impressive — crisp, vibrant, and far better than I expected from such a small device. I plan to use it to print photos of my artwork, but it’s also perfect for spontaneous snapshots at gatherings or events. There’s something delightful about taking someone’s picture and handing them a tiny, beautifully printed keepsake moments later.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of prints from this Polaroid Photo printer, given my experience with the camera. The Hi-Print photo printer uses a new 3x3 picture size that's 50% larger than the more common 2x3 printers. The pictures are of very high quality due to the Dye sublimation process which makes four passes: yellow, magenta, cyan, and a clear laminate to preserve the color. The associated app helps you connect and resize your pictures to the correct print format, as well as create with a select amount of templates and borders, giving you printable social media pics. The printer is small and portable enough to fit in a jacket pocket, making it ideal for professionals to make sample images at photo shoots. Previous Zink technology comes only in the 2x3 format, although more portable, pictures appear washed out at best. The dye-sublimation process makes the pictures fade-proof and prints in less than a minute. The quality actually surprised me since the camera's instant photos were pretty bad. I like that Polaroid has made it as easy as the Zink media packs to pop in a fresh cartridge and not have to fuss with separate ink cartridges, the photo paper and dye-sub ribbon come as one cartridge that slide in the side door. The only downside is price of replacement cartridges, which only come in multiples of 10 and are not interchangeable with less expensive dye-sub cartridges from another legacy brand. Zink packs are super cheap and have adhesive backing, but the quality takes a hit. The Hi-Print has great quality and portability, but at almost a dollar a print, you might want to weigh your options and maybe consider a slightly larger 4x6 printer with the same technology and carry a battery pack with you for slightly less portability. Polaroid has developed an improvement over their previous Hi-Print series, though it's a niche product and proprietary. It makes great prints from your high-quality phone camera and can be used as a photo frame with the built-in pocket. Hopefully, third party cartridges will become available, and this will be a competitive option.

In the age of everything digital, it’s nice to be able quickly give your friends or family something they can hold. The device is about the thickness of two smartphones and not quite as tall as something like the Pro Max size phone. Being so compact it makes it easy to take with and make pictures for everyone at events like birthday parties. Getting the bulk pack of the print cartridges it will cost a little over seventy cents a pic as each cartridge has ten. Each pick takes about twenty to thirty seconds to print as it prints the different colors. When the picture is done, it has a perforated tab to grab when it comes out so you don’t mess of the picture. You use the Polaroid app to either print from your photo collection or take a picture with the app. The picture quality is extremely good for being able to print a photo so quickly and from such a small device. If you want to be able to hold your memories in your hand or quickly share photos at parties, the Polaroid Hi Print is a cool way to do it.

When I saw the name of this item, my first assumption was that this somehow integrated to Polaroid cameras, which currently are massively overshadowed by digital cameras. Instead, this device accesses the digital photos from your cloud library of pictures, and prints it to an actual photograph. Just like you used to have in albums, picture frames, on your desktop at work, or the mantel over your fireplace. Certainly over the last couple of decades, the taking of pictures has changed to digital and more portable. Now everyone has the ability to quickly grab a shot of whatever they choose using an ever-present mobile phone. Maybe you intended to share these pictures with friends and relatives, business associates, clients, etc. But most of the time life gets in the way, and you forget. If you have your Polaroid printer close at hand, you can print a photograph that you just snapped with your phone in under a minute. And this is a real, hold it in your hand, actual photograph. The Polaroid 3x3 is not the first printer for them, but was preceded by both “2 x 3” and “4 x 6” Hi-Print printers. Those two produced rectangular prints, whereas this returns to the original Polaroid production of a square photograph. The “brains” of the process reside in your mobile device: a phone or tablet, with the app loaded in it (both iOS and Android are supported). When you open the Hi-Print app, you can choose which one of the 3 Polaroid printers you own. There are several adornments that you can choose in the app, which are optional. Cropping your digital photo to fit into the square finished photograph is definitely required, but easily accomplished. Some touch ups can be done with the app’s editor as well. Starting out, I just printed a few unmodified photos from my photo library, subsequently using a template into which two photos can be inserted. A collage of 3 or 5 photos can be combined, for example. This printer is completely portable, using a USB-C port to recharge the internal lithium battery, and Bluetooth connectivity to send the photo to the printer. So no cables or cords need travel with you. The topping up the battery is necessary only after about 20 prints. The USB-C port is for charging only; do not expect the printer to be controlled by the cable. Plugging the printer into the USB-C port on your laptop, for example, achieves nothing. The controls are all via the Bluetooth link to your phone or tablet. The printer will be a hit addition to gatherings: a party, family get-togethers, holidays, special events. The quality of the output is really quite good, and very speedy. The printing out of a photo is almost a show in itself. The print is ready in about a minute, showing you the progress as it goes through yellow, cyan, and magenta layers of color. There is a final protective coating to render the print smudge proof, durable from light moisture attacks, and fingerprint protected, ready to handle. The easily inserted cartridge that houses a stack of 10 prints and the dye sublimation printing inks, along with the final clear top coating. The printer comes with one cartridge to get you started. I would suggest that you purchase one of the bundles that include a supply of additional sheets (mine came with 30 more sheets). The price per print is about $0.85, cheaper if you purchase in bulk from your retailer. Your mileage may vary… Since most cameras usually do not take square photos, some cropping of the image will be necessary when using the 3X3 printer. It's easy to center the image before you start the printing, to optimize the resulting photograph. There are several creative options to adjust brightness, contrast, & saturation with sliders, and to add stickers and text if desired. The printer is bit bulky to slide in your pocket, but compact enough to carry in a coat pocket, small tote, or a generous purse to go with you most everywhere. It weighs just under a pound (13.8 oz). The dimensions are 4 x 5.2 x 1.2 inches. The use of a dye-sublimation printing process has an advantage over ink jet printers. Since there are no liquid inks, there is no risk of leaks, smears, or spills as you travel with this portable printer. The output of the picture is on par with ink jet micro-droplets, and to my eye indistinguishable between the two. For larger prints, where the details are blown up, ink jets are more precise. But since these tiny photos are not going to be enlarged, the rendition is quite acceptable. The final print has a white strip at the bottom, which is perforated, and detaches cleanly and easily. You could leave it attached, for noting dates, names of the subjects, locale, or your pleasure. An added charming feature is the ability to display the “photo of the week” in the printer’s front face. It is quite a jolly little picture frame, and easy to swap out the photos between your favorites. If size, weight, and portability were a greater concern, you might consider the smaller Polaroid 2x3 printer, which costs slightly less, and fits easier in coat pockets, etc. It outputs a smaller print, and therefore some detail. And you loose the iconic square format of the original square Polaroid photos that transformed picture taking for an entire generation.

The printer was very easy to set up. I’m talking less than 5 minutes to already be printing stuff from my phone. Quality is good and the app is great. I really like the compact design and again how easy it is to use. Inserting the cartridges is also easy. I use it for scrap booking and would highly recommend is you are just getting started. Only downside is Best Buy was already out of the cartridges so whenever I find them in stock I purchase immediately.

If you're a scrapbooker, someone who likes physical prints of your favorite memories, or want the ability to create small mementos for your friends and family, the Polaroid Hi-Print 3x3 is perfect for you. It's a super compact little printer, about half the size of a VHS tape. Knowing that nobody under 40 understands that reference... it's slightly smaller than a paperback book. The printer itself doubles as a frame, which is a nice touch. The battery life is solid with the printer automatically shutting off after a few minutes of idle. The printer charges quickly with USB-C and connects to your phone via BlueTooth and the Polaroid Hi Print app where you do most of the photo editing/cropping/framing/etc. The app itself allows you a ton of customization from frames to stickers to layouts and then full customization of the photos themselves with color, tone, etc. The prints themselves are vibrant and go edge-to-edge. The included paper + cartridge makes 10 prints and additional paper cartridges run less than $1 per image. The ink itself is included as part of the paper cartridge reloads. The whole process to make one print takes about 30-45 seconds once you have the image ready. Honestly the impetus to print anything you want that quickly means you're probably gonna want a few packs of paper at the ready... or at least better impulse control than I have. To make simple keepsakes while traveling or to gift a friend with a photo of an adventure while on the go... taking this with you to make an instant memory would be really fun. The best part of having a Polaroid camera with you is that you have the instant print memory on the spot without having to go get the picture developed. These Hi-Print pocket photo printers bring back that familiar magic with a few modern niceties like cropping, framing... using your digital photos in the same way without having to carry a full-sized photo printer with you. All told this is a super fun way to keep your memories with you in physical form.

This is genuinely an impressive pocket printer that turns digital shots into vibrant sticky-back photos in under a minute. In fact, my teenage daughter absolutely loves it and has pretty much claimed it for herself to decorate her daily journaling. The biggest downside is the lack of a print queue. You have to sit and wait for each photo to finish completely before you can even send the next one, which gets tedious. The app is mostly easy to use, but sometimes the prints come out slightly brighter than they look on your screen, so you might need to manually lower the brightness before hitting print. Pros: Vibrant Prints: Pumps out clear, high-quality sticky-back photos quickly. Perfect for Crafts: The peel-and-stick design is awesome for journaling, scrapbooking, and decorating. Easy Setup: Connects seamlessly to smartphones via Bluetooth. Cons: No Print Queue: You cannot line up multiple prints at once and must wait for each to finish. Brightness Quirks: Photos can print a bit brighter than expected without manual adjustments. Clunky App Resizing: Adjusting image dimensions inside the companion app is not very intuitive. Final Verdict I highly recommended if you want a fun, quick way to turn your digital shots into physical stickers for crafts or journals. Just be prepared to have some patience if you plan on printing a large batch of photos all in one sitting.

This is a really awesome little Polaroid printer. It was super easy to connect to my iPhone and setup using the companion app. One thing to note is that it doesn't include a USB-C charging cable (required to charge it), but since it's a universal charing standard, this wasn't a dealbreaker. I used an existing USB-C charger I had and it fully charged within minutes. It also paired to my smartphone on the first attempt. It also allows you to edit photos in the app before printing them. You can add your own enhancements to it or simply retouch it, so it has something for everyone. When it prints, it runs through all the steps it's taking. It prints multiple colors separately for a richer image (one at a time) then adds a protective layer to the photo. Then simply rip off the perforated bottom of the image and you're good to go. It even has a picture frame built into the printer which is a really cool add-on. It also came preloaded with paper, but it looks really simple to load new paper. Overall, I highly recommend this printer, it works great and was really easy to setup!

The Polaroid Hi-Print 3x3 Photo Printer is a very nice accessory, allowing you to instantly and wirelessly print photos, directly from your phone. Following are my observations after initial use: - In the box you get the printer, a cartridge with 10 photo paper sheets, and a quick start guide. - It was very easy to set up and use. Simply charge it with a USB-C cord, download the Polaroid Hi-Print App, connect the app via Bluetooth and you are ready to select a photo from your phone's photo library and print it. It connected to Bluetooth very easily via the App. Once I had it charged, I inserted the paper cartridge, paired it to my phone, looked through the options in the App and had my first photo printed in about 5 minutes. - You can have the printer access your camera to take and print a new photo, or access your photo library to select any photo on your device that you want to print. - The printer has an editing feature to allow you to crop the photos in your library. Since it prints a 3 x 3 photo, there may be some photos that would be difficult to print, as you need to crop it to a 3 x 3 square photo for printing. - You can just print the picture as it is, or the App comes with a variety of features you can apply to your photos before printing. There are many templates that can be used on your photos, including a variety of templates under each of the following categories: Collages, Love, Colorful Frames, Celebration, Festive, Spooky, Journaling, and printing Passport Photos. You can also apply a variety of other effects to your photos, such as digital stickers, adding text to your photos, and drawing on your photos. There are a lot of options that allow you to get very creative with how the photos are displayed. - The photos are 3 x 3 and print right to the edges. The bottom part comes out with a white tab attached, to grab onto, but it can be snapped off at the perforations. - The printer itself can also be used as a frame. It has a built in spot with a glass cover that can be lifted off and an indented section that fits a 3 x 3 photo. Just insert the photo and replace the cover and you have a picture frame for one of your photos. - I'm also very impressed with the photo quality. They come out with great color and clarity and look just like the photos on my phone. When you select print, the photo paper moves in and out of the printer 4 times, as it prints each color separately, and the fourth pass applies an overcoat that protects it from fingerprints, fading, and water splashes. This is such a cool device. My photos used to end up just sitting on my phone and hardly anyone ever got to see them. With the Polaroid 3 x 3 Photo Printer, I can now print any photo I want, instantly, and even add fun effects to them before printing, so I can display them in my house or give copies to friends and family. I highly recommend this printer! -

This photo printer is easy to carry around. It's really simple to use and that's a good thing. I do find that the design of the printer is not very well thought of. It's just a rectangular white box. Not really the most aesthetic device ever especially coming from Polaroid. That's alright though since the pictures that it prints out looks great. It seems kind of soft when it prints out. I do find that loading up the cartridge for this is simple. The app is intuitive. You can do some photo editing on it like add text and change the brightness or contrast or crop, etc. before you print your picture out. You can put your own printed picture in front of the printer so you can customize the printer to your liking. I think the point of having a pocket photo printer is you can carry it around, and you can absolutely do it with this, but it's just that I think Polaroid could have done better and made it a bit smaller and more aesthetic. It's just a bit chonky like you have a big white box in your bag or something.

Polaroid has made quite the comeback with a spectrum of modernized retro products. I have a few of their cameras and they have been quite fun and useful. These products make for the perfect party favors, memory walls, and even just regular decorations. I was excited to try out this printer since it allows for flexibility on the go. It is totally app based, so that's important to know before committing. App: Overall fairly easy to use. There is no way to use this with a computer that I was able to find. It allows you to make some adjustments. I really like that you can make a collage as well. There were no issues with using it on an iPhone. I did not try it with an Android device. You can also add designs to the print as well, which I thought was a nice feature I wasn't expecting. Print: I believe the quality is good for what this product is intended for. Probably 8/10. It's not full printer quality but it's quite nice. It prints quick and there's no development time. The color profile is fairly close to the original shot in my experience. It comes out better than the new Polaroid cameras in my opinion since the original picture is from a better camera usually. Device: Lighweight, compact, perfect to travel with. You can attach a print to the printer itself which makes it look nicer when storing it. Drawbacks: The cost. I think it's a little steeply priced as a device that requires special prints to use. Otherwise, it's just a paper weight. The print refills are expensive as well, so therefore either the printer or its refills should be much cheaper. I think this printer has a good niche and I do recommend it for those looking for this type of product. You won't regret it. You just have to be willing to pay the price to get it and keep using it.
