    Dual power options is great

    Great brightness and I just had to buy this with the dual power source. It's convenient to have the built in battery to make for easy charging and also offer using standard batteries in case you need additional lighting time. This headlamp is substantially lighter than the 1000 lumen offering that does not have the option to use your own batteries.

    Almost good enough--but not quite

    Bright enough. Like the dual power--except rechargeable battery stopped after 3 months. Too much trouble to pursue warranty. Other thing I don't like about the design is the on/off button not readily identifiable. I sometimes fumble to turn it on, only to find I'm on the bottom side of the light, not the top. (They feel the same.) Would I buy again? No, even as I like the idea of dual function and like the AAA battery component.

    Great light all around

    I use this for everything from getting things out of my shed at night, to unloading the bed of my truck at night. I no longer go on road trips without it, it offers a very bright light, a dimmer light, as well as a green light for more discretion. Battery life is long, and i love that it offers the option for rechargeable and regular batteries.

    Bright with backup battery

    Very nice and bright with power saving settings. But the best feature is the backup power source the onboard and plugin batteries provide. You can get 10-12 hours no problem with both fully charged. Not as bulky feeling as it looks. I got an open box item and had $5 off coupon so this was a no brainer buy.

    Great head lamp

    I love this head lamp. It gives me battery and charge options. The lamp is really bright when fully charged. It is nit as bright when I use the batteries. It is much lighter weight than my last head lamp. I should have bought 2!
