Excellent height sound
Excellent speakers for height sounds. It does come with two speakers (not listed in description), nice design while not looking overly big, we’re very pleased.

Mounted on Wall
I have 2 pairs of these mounted high on the wall in living room. L/R front heights, and L/R rear heights. It's hard to judge speakers like this because everyone has different spaces, different preferences. The R900s themselves sound fantastic, and in my space they are very immersive. I would love to hear them mounted on ceiling vs wall, but its currently not an option for me. Overall though, I cannot recommend the Polk R series enough. Side note, when rating, BestBuy has an ease of use rating, 1-5 stars. This is not really applicable in this case since the configuration has less to do with the speaker itself, and more to do with the components you have controlling them.

Awesome speakers!
I was a bit skeptical that these speakers could produce the ceiling ATMOS effect but they got the job done and saved me tons of time trying to run wire for ceiling speakers. They sound great and provide consistent Polk quality sound.
