1st Unit received had constant issues with connecting to devices and than it was less than 2 month old and it got severely hot on my ear and it just fried its self and would no longer turn on. Contacted HP and they sent me a new device which worked instantly out of the box no issues connecting

I had used this same brand/model of headset a couple of years ago and decided to try again. The first set lasted a little over a year before needing to be replaced. When I was researching for this one, I noticed it had a two-year warranty. I liked the previous one so decided to give it a try again. The unit I ended up with had problems from the beginning. The biggest issue was that meeting attendees indicated sound was crackly. I didn't realize there was only a 14 day return policy or I would have returned it. Since I still need a headset, I decided to go through the manufacturer's warranty process. Huge mistake. Started on May 20th using chat to troubleshoot the issues. The chat option did not connect on several occassions or I was timed out due to inactivity. Attempted self help by reviewing the online troubleshooting guides and YouTube videos. Spent a long time trying to rectify the issue to no avail. Finally had time to try the online system again on June 2nd. After what seemed like a very long time to convince the tech that I had already done all of the troubleshooting and just needed to exchange the headset, the company finally agreed. I was told that I would receive information on returning the unit. I asked when I should expect the information and was just told that I would receive it soon. More than 24 hours later and I still have no information on next steps. First, headsets should have more than 14 days to return. Second, HP customer service needs to improve their website for connectivity and the process for troubleshooting. I shouldn't have to jump through hoops to exchange a $100 headset.
