Preacher's Kid - DVD

College student Riley flees abuse and religious hypocrisy, trying to outrun her painful past. When God intervenes through an unexpected circumstance, she's forced to confront the estranged mother who caused her deepest wounds.

A promising young executive involuntarily falls in love with a young gambler who ultimately ruins her career, and finds himself looking for redemption, while she has to start over.

Owning a sheet metal factory allowed Bill (David Strathairn) to have a modest spread in Winston-Salem big enough for wife Venida (Celia Weston), son and business partner David (Will Pullen), and his spouse Tammy (Jane Levy). When he gleans that David is carrying on an office affair, the usually passive patriarch tries to figure out how to end it while shielding a daughter-in-law he adores. Writer-director Angus MacLachlan's effective study co-stars Anna Camp, Dascha Polanco, Billie Roy. 91 min. Widescreen; Soundtrack English.
