- Description: Most of us are familiar with the wonderful en-semble of singers and musicians, collectively known as Psalm 151 which, with it's original interpretation of prayerful, contemporary song, regularly complements the 4 30 Liturgy of the Mass. They also perform at First Com-munions, Confirmations, Healing Masses, and as special guests at other area churches and events. Perhaps less well-known are the group's origins, it's commitment to stewardship, and it's dedication to St. Amelia Parish. The genesis of the group's name came from a listener who was so favorably impressed that he remarked their music was the next best thing to one of the 150 Psalms. Their original music ministry began in 2006 at the 6 00 Life Teen Mass, and when that Mass was discontinued in 2007, they moved to the 4 30 Mass on Saturday. Over that span of time, there have been some changes in personnel, but the core members have remained intact, and all members have shared a common love of God and music. A natural outgrowth of Psalm 151's dedication to music ministry at St. Amelia's is their new 13-song CD, entitled 'Through it All', which was released on December 5th, 2012 and is a creation sure to positively affect many of our parishioners. Listen-ers will enjoy the collaboration with the St. Amelia Children's Choir and Music Director Dan Franckowiak as guest artist'. The St. Amelia School music program will benefit in a different way, as ALL proceeds from sales of the CD will be donated to the music program. So it is easy to see how this project is a true gift of time, talent, and treasure from the group mem-bers, even beyond it's weekly musical gift to the parish. Limited vinyl LP repressing in gatefold jacket. Off the Wall is the fifth solo studio album by Michael Jackson. It was released on August 10, 1979, following Jackson's critically well-received film performance in The Wiz. While working on that project, Jackson and Quincy Jones had become friends, and Jones agreed to work with Jackson on his next studio album. Recording sessions took place between December 1978 and June 1979 at Allen Zentz Recording, Westlake Recording Studios, and Cherokee Studios in Los Angeles, California. Jackson collaborated with a number of other writers and performers such as Paul McCartney, Stevie Wonder and Rod Temperton. Five singles were released from the album. It was released by Epic Records on November 30, 1982, as the follow-up to Jackson's critically and commercially successful 1979 album Off The Wall. Thriller explores similar genres to those of Off The Wall, including pop, post-disco, rock and funk. Recording sessions took place on April to November 1982 at Westlake Recording Studios in Los Angeles with a production budget of $750, 000, assisted by producer Quincy Jones.
