Able to use my laptop in my lap again and feel a lot more confident when operating from my desk. Nothing more than very firm plastic but meeting the need. Laptop underside is cooler to the touch if not left in a flat position. I sit it on a low level memory foam pillow to not cause discomfort to my lap or legs. Metal bar allow various height settings. Comes with it's own attachment cord. Will take up one of your USB Ports.
