A: Your filter indicator is on a timer that will go off every six months to remind you to change the filter. If you've had a power outage, it could reset your filter indiciator light as you have mentioned and cause it to stay green. Thank You, Frigidaire
Q: how do I change the water filter? Do I have to turn off my appliance first?
A: You do not have to turn your fridge off, all you need to do is remove the old water filter and replace it with the new one. When the old filter is removed, an automatic shutoff will engage which keeps water fromleaking until you replace it with a new one. Thank You, Frigidaire
