Q: Can you see the readings on the unit itself, or only on an iphone?
A: You can only see the readings on the phone. It has two modes. In Visitor Mode it will take one reading and display BP and Heart Rate, but it will not record it. In the user mode it takes 3 readings with a 30 second pause between the readings, and provides the average of the three readings as well as record it in a log. This log can then be printed out for an upcoming Doctor visit or sent via email to the doctor prior to the visit.
A: They used to send replacement covers. Based on today’s (04/10/24) email from them, they no longer do. They know it’s a design flaw but they’ve made a corporate decision that getting customers to replacements is better for their bottom line
Q: How much does this device weigh? What are the dimensions when not wearing but carrying it in a bag?
A: I can't tell you the precise weight but it's not heavy, less than a typical hardcover book, about twice as heavy as my iPhone. I bought the case for it when I bought it. Case dimensions are 3 1/4" W x 6 3/4" L x 2" D. Unit is 2 3/4" x 5 1/2" x 1 1/2".
A: No you do not and it is aa reliable unit. sometimes the software can be glitchy though.
Q: What is max arm diameter that the cuff will fit onto?
A: I'll answer the question differently. When I stretch the cuff out it's about 11" from the device to where the cuff folds to secure. When I hold the cuff open I would say the maximum diameter is about 5". Arms aren't perfectly round so it's hard to get more accurate than that. I don't know if there is a cuff expander available for it.
