I really enjoyed this. There's no real dialogue, just grunts, gestures and invented languages, and I was surprised how easy it was to follow. After a few minutes you stop noticing. The story is simple: three men go out to bring fire back to their tribe. The journey is tense, sometimes funny, and more touching than I expected. Ron Perlman and Rae Dawn Chong are great, and the makeup still looks impressive for a 1981 film. The transfer is beautiful. The landscapes look stunning, with rich colour and lots of detail, and the whole film looks better than I've ever seen it. It's not like anything else I've seen, and this is a great way to own it. Well packed, arrived in perfect condition. Recommended.
