It had the usual Dizzy Gillespie, Miles Davis classical stuff, but there was some new, keyboard type things, and I thought, 'hey, I can do this.' So, I hired a jazz trio, stand-up bass and drums, went in the studio, and four of the songs locked into such a groove, that is so undeniably cool. I got brave enough to do it, and I'm even braver now. Pardon the expression, but it really rocks. I think there's a niche for it out there.Inch He dared even more to lens these performances (presented on this DVD) from Toronto in May 2004. They are more acoustic than in your face and focus on both Bachman the singer as well as Bachman the guitarist.

The great Duke Robillard, Jay Geils, Gerry Beaudoin and Randy Bachman are each legendary guitarists in their own rights, through their interplay on this CD you hear the range of character the guitar can take on as each of them takes turn soloing in their unique and undeniable style. The CD features some great old jazz standards, a couple of Randy Bachman original tunes and sublime covers of the classic rock songs Runaway and Randy's signature tune Takin' Care of Business. Over 45 minutes of guitar greatness.
This DVD from the MuchMusic archives was shot in 1990 at Spectrum in Montreal and captures Gowan at the peak of his career as a solo artist. Bonus features include an interview with Much Music alumni Denise Donlon, a bootleg clip of fan favorite InchVictoryInch and a live video cut of InchCity of the AngelsInch.
Kate performed on Austin City Limits in 1985 at the height of her career, just a few months before she was diagnosed with acute leukemia. It was her first major television exposure, and a great success. The show was edited for PBS and broadcast frequently the following years. Accompanied by her long-time band members Nina Gerber and Ford James, Kate delivered a strong performance that remained faithful to her Northern California folk style. The of InchAn Evening in AustinInch is a continuance of Kate's music. Although she is gone, Kate has left a collection of songs and performances that share innermost thoughts through imagery of life that will be with us for years to come. This concert recording captures Kate's intimate performing style, and we proudly present it as a memorial to her.
