I’ve been wearing my metas for about a month and I can honestly say they’re one of the best tech purchases I’ve made. At first, I thought they’d be more of a novelty, but they’ve become something I use almost every day. The first thing that impressed me was the design. They look just like regular Ray-Bans, so they don’t feel bulky or overly “techy.” I’ve gotten several compliments on them, and most people don’t even realize they’re smart glasses until I show them what they can do. The camera quality exceeded my expectations. Taking hands-free photos and videos is incredibly convenient, especially when I’m out with friends, traveling, or just want to capture a moment without pulling out my phone. The videos are smooth, and the point-of-view perspective makes everything feel much more immersive. The speakers are another standout feature. The audio is surprisingly clear, whether I’m listening to music, taking calls, or following GPS directions. I also love that I can still hear everything going on around me instead of being completely isolated like I am with earbuds. One of my favorite features is the built-in Meta AI. Being able to ask questions, send messages, take pictures with voice commands, or get information about what I’m looking at feels incredibly futuristic and saves a lot of time. Battery life has been solid for my daily use. As long as I keep the charging case with me, I rarely have to worry about running out of power. If I had to point out any downsides, I’d say the camera isn’t quite as good as my phone in low light, and the battery drains faster if I’m recording a lot of videos. But those are small trade-offs considering everything these glasses can do. Overall, I’d highly recommend the Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses to anyone who enjoys technology, creates content, travels often, or simply wants a more convenient way to stay connected. I originally bought the Oakley Meta glasses because I liked the sport look, but they were just too heavy. After about 10 minutes they were putting a lot of pressure on my nose, so I returned them and bought the Ray-Ban Meta glasses with Transition lenses instead. I'm glad I did. They're much lighter, fit my face well, and I've never had an issue with them slipping off while biking or working with dogs. I originally bought these mainly to record bike rides and while working with dogs, but my favorite feature has actually become the open-ear speakers. I can listen to music or GPS directions while still hearing traffic, people, and the dogs around me. That's important for the things I do, and the volume is surprisingly good—I can still hear my music even riding into the wind. The Transition lenses work really well, and the camera makes it easy to capture rides, scenery, or unexpected moments without pulling out my phone. The charging case is also great and gives me several full charges before it needs to be plugged in. My biggest complaint is the setup. Getting message reading and some voice features working took more time than it should have. I also wish I could say, "Hey Meta, open YouTube Music," but that isn't supported yet, so I have to start it on my phone first. Once it's open, though, the touch controls on the glasses work well after a little practice. One thing to note: I wore them in a sauna once, and after about eight minutes they overheated, warned me they were too hot, shut the music off, and powered themselves down. That's probably not how they're intended to be used, but it's something I noticed. Overall, these have been one of my favorite tech purchases. They're comfortable, lightweight, easy to clean, and practical enough that I wear them almost every day. If you're trying to decide between the Oakleys and the Ray-Bans, I'd personally choose the Ray-Bans again without hesitation.

I originally bought these Ray-Ban Meta Wayfarer glasses from Best Buy and later replaced the original lenses with my prescription lenses. That was the best decision I could have made. Now they are my everyday glasses, and I get to enjoy all the smart features while seeing perfectly. The Meta AI is incredibly useful for quick questions and everyday tasks. If you wear prescription glasses, I highly recommend getting prescription lenses installed. It transforms these from a cool gadget into something you will wear every day. I honestly thought these would be gimmicky at first, but they’ve become something I use almost every day. Being able to quickly take photos/videos or listen to music without pulling out my phone feels super futuristic. The design also looks way more normal and stylish than I expected. Battery life could always be better, but overall these exceeded my expectations.

I have been very impressed with the Ray-Ban Meta Wayfarer glasses. The design looks like a classic pair of sunglasses, but the technology inside is very useful. The audio quality is clear, the camera captures good photos and videos, and Meta AI makes simple tasks easier. The Transitions lenses are convenient because they adjust to different lighting conditions. The glasses are comfortable to wear for long periods and are a great combination of style and technology.

So first, the good; as sunglasses they're comfortable and they do the job. The AI is actually really good, and you can choose a couple of different voices for responses. With the recent updates, the AI is a bit more intuitive and sounds like you're having a conversation with the real human sometimes. Battery life seems to be pretty good and sound quality is very good when either using ai, listening to music or on phone calls. You can do everything hand free by just saying "hey meta" including taking pictures and video. You can also have meta upload your last picture or video taken directly to Instagram or to whatsapp. Camera quality is actually quite good and somebody's recent updates have increased the low light picture quality as well. It's really nice having the ability to take video from a POV without having a break out your phone or a camera. It makes life a lot easier if you like to do stuff like that. Now the bad; I am currently on my 4th set of meta Wayfarers. (More on that in a few minutes.) I started with a Gen 1 set, used them heavily and about 6 months later they shut off and never turned back on. Yes they were fully charged, they just powered off and died. I'm a total member so I was able to get a replacement, and I opted for the Gen 2 Wayfarers. Fun fact; with the Gen 1's you can do live video directly to Instagram or Whatsapp. (I think you can do it with Facebook live as well but I'm not 100%). I discovered after spending the extra money on the Gen2's that they had removed the ability to live feed to social media. Not a big deal but still a bit irritating. Apparently the Gen 2 have a better battery and subsequent better life, but I haven't really noticed anything yet. Photo quality is much better as well as video and you have the ability to shoot in 30 FPS or 60 FPS. Low light quality is much better than the Gen 1,'s. My first pair of gen 2s started acting up at the two months mark. Even when fully charged, they would randomly shut off. Again, total reward member so swapping them out was easy peasy. My third pair lasted for another 2 months, and then the same issue started happening; random shutdowns and stay off for a while, and power back up. rinse and repeat. Swapped them out yet again and I am now on my fourth set. We'll see how long these last. I'm at a month and a half, without issues but that doesn't mean anything. Stay tuned.

I didn't know what to expect when I purchased these Meta glasses because I knew so little about them. Wow! They blew me away with how amazing they are. A few simple steps on the Meta app and you are up and running. You can simply say "Hey Meta" and ask it just about anything from weather reports to facts or you can say take a photo or take a video. You can tap the button on the glasses once to take a pic or a long press to take video or just say "hey meta". You control the volume with a swipe on the side arm. I connected to amazon music, and I can simply say "Hey Meta play Michael Jackson songs" or whatever. The photos and videos are stored in the meta-app and you import them into your phone photos thru Wi-Fi. Another cool feature is live translation. I put on a Spanish speaking channel and told meta to translate to English and she translated everything with ease. Very cool! The meta-app is fun too, you can use the AI software to make fun photos and stuff. The battery is very long lasting, I had them on all day and the lowest I got to was 75%. The case charges them for you. Don't hesitate, these are such a cool thing to have!

Glasses were amazing very good quality battery life last u for all day sound great only lil think for me that i didnt like was u can feel the radiation in the side of ur head that was the only little problem for me other than that its an amazing product

These are great quality Ray-Ban sunglasses, and the transition lenses are very responsive, clear, and relatively scratch resistant. As far as the Meta component goes, the technology implementation is great: Decent battery life, functionality, camera quality, sound quality, and app/controls are easy to use. However, what I've come to realize as I have been using them for a while is that this technology is still finding its place from a societal perspective. More and more I've come across situations where they are either banned or you are made to feel like a "creep" just for wearing them, even without using any capture functions. For this reason, I always take them off except for when doing the main activities I got them for in the first place: amusement park rides, outdoor sports activities, and sight seeing/travel. But I would hesitate wearing them to a beach, pool, or similar places where you would need sunglasses but might feel odd because these can take pictures. I considered giving these 4 stars but that would not be right, as the technology and the core sunglass functionality and quality are excellent. The social aspects of the product is a completely separate issue and something each individual should consider based on their local community standards.

Fits great, has a long battery life, clear picture taking, and I love the video recording.
