The first generation is for those who want to understand how it works. Video recording quality is quite good. The sound and microphone technology is simply phenomenal — very high quality. Comfortable to wear. Now for the cons. 1. After about 6 months the corner of the left nose pad peeled off. It doesn’t get in the way while wearing, but when you want to scratch your nose you catch that corner. 2. A crack in the plastic appeared at the bottom under the hinge of the left temple. I think this is a design feature of the glasses and it’s quite likely already fixed in the second generation. 3. Very weak battery. In reality the glasses last about 4-5 hours ONLY with a couple of calls. If you listen to music or record video you can kill the whole battery in an hour. Bottom line: For those who just want to try the new experience and get familiar with the technology, if they’re discounted to $180 or less — worth it. I’ve been really impressed with the Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses so far. The audio quality is surprisingly clear, the camera captures great hands-free photos and videos, and the voice controls make everything feel smooth and convenient. I also like that they still look like regular stylish Ray-Bans instead of bulky tech glasses. The AI features are useful for quick questions, music control, and everyday tasks while on the go. Battery life has been solid for daily use, and the charging case makes it easy to keep them powered throughout the day. Overall, they blend fashion and technology better than I expected and actually feel practical to wear every day.

The Glasses are great. Looks and feels like regular Glasses. Easy to use and great pictures , video . I definitely will recommend these Glasses to family and friends. Meta application are easy to follow and it will connect automatically with your phone . Very convertible to wear. People didnt even notice i was wearing them untill i pointed it out. 5 out of 5 . Best perchance i made this year by far.

I picked up the Ray-Ban Meta Wayfarer with green transition lenses and it’s quickly become my favorite pair of smart glasses for everyday wear. The classic Wayfarer silhouette looks timeless and stylish, while the transition lenses smoothly adapt from clear indoors to a comfortable green tint outdoors, so I don’t have to switch glasses when I go from one environment to another. These also pack in Meta’s smart features like hands-free photo and video capture, audio, and AI-assisted controls, which add real convenience without feeling gimmicky. The build feels solid and comfortable for all-day wear, and the combination of iconic design with modern tech makes these glasses both practical and fun to use.

I own a pair of ray ban wayfairers with 58mm lenses and I purchased the large ray ban metas that have 53mm lenses. They’re essintiely (I can’t spell and auto correct doesn’t seem to work in the app when writing a review) the same size both in width and arm length. The pictures and videos are better than expected. The glasses are mostly comfortable. The arms can be a little tight and scratch the back of the ears at times. But after a couple of uses it kinda just stops bothering you (well me at least). My biggest problem is that I can’t wear them enough to justify the price. The gradient tint is too dark for inside and the transition tint isn’t dark enough for outside (and too slow to transition). I wish I could wear them all day but that would require buying two different pairs in my opinion. The sound quality is good, no distortion at full volume, but sometimes not loud enough in noisy places. The camera is definetly convient especially when you’re doing something that needs two hands, like chasing lizards with your kid, or just don’t feel like taking your phone out of your pocket or bag. Honestly, the biggest downside is the thing that made me want them the most, the AI. Meta AI can’t access most 3rd party apps. It can’t save personal info, which sounds like a good thing but that means, it can’t create reminders or shopping lists. It can’t find a song on any music service except spotify. Its great at answering questions or making up riddles and jokes based on the input you give it. It can talk to you like a real person having a conversation with you. Its pretty cool to use but its practicality is lacking big time. From version 1 to version 1.1, meta added some apps that the AI can access. So hopefully with future updates it will become more useful. But until it can set a reminder or add things to a shopping list, its not going to replace siri, alexa, or google assistant. I do recomend if you like techy things and want something cool and interesting. But if you’re just looking to replace your air pods or whatever android buds you use, I’d pass because you’ll still carry them around with you anyway unless you get and are okay with the transition lenses. Though if you need prescription glasses, I can’t think of a cooler pair you could get and would highly recomend in that case.

I’m really happy with these sunglasses! They look very stylish and feel much more expensive than they actually are. The frame is lightweight but sturdy, and they sit comfortably on my face without slipping. The lenses provide great sun protection and the vision is clear with no distortion. Meta's Rayban glasses are among the best new gadgets of 2023. Stylish. Comfortable. Packed with technology, the quality of the digital camera produces sharper and more vibrant still images than you would expect from such a tiny sensor in the frames. The video quality is also great in situations with good natural light. The real star is the of these glasses is the sound. Meta calls the tech Spatial Audio. Making phone calls and listening to music via directed sound and smartly positioned speakers within the arms produces a sound that is clear, even outdoors. It's really cool being able to engage in conversations without earbuds lodged in your ears. This is far better than the best 'passthrough audio' because with nothing in your years, you feel totally free. Great tech!

Such an amazing product! I was skeptical at first but now months in, I absolutely love the glasses! From passively listening to my podcasts and audio books, or catching videos of all my fun activities, these glasses have never let me down! Updates have made them better and better each time.

Incredible AI Meta glasses. Fit it is snug at first but then you wear them enough to break them in. Very easy to use with iPhone and Meta AI app. Videos/photos save as soon as you open the App . Just make sure to leave the glasses open and not folded in. Splash & dust resistant . Use it for a one of a kind point of view during EDC week and recent Caribbean vacation and wow. Dropped it a few times and it was just fine. Battery life will drain faster when Live AI session is on. Max/Min video length include 15 sec, 30 sec, 1 min ,or 3 minutes . Connect apps Ex: Shazam, Spotify, Apple Music,Amazon Music etc. Polarized Gradient Graphite Lenses are a 10/10

Overall a pretty solid product with a nice design. They have good sound quality along with a convenient way to take pictures without having to get your phone out. The batteries last for a decent amount of time but, I would like to see them have a longer battery life.

Glass work great, the music is so clear and loud. The camera is great, takes nice clear photos. Phone calls are excellent. The battery life could be better, but for everything your getting its good. I turn the hey meta off and that extends the battery life. The case is top notch. My glasses are fully charged in about 20 -25 mins sometimes less. Get you a pair you will be in Love.

Video Quality 10/10 Pictures 10/10 Battery life 7/10 -screws get loose within 1-2months and they start to slide down your nose very often -I used them for work and I would always wear a sombrero but when I would try to activate meta it would not work, I would need to remove my hat. -lasted 6 months they got a small crack on the middle and they no longer turned on -please purchase the warranty so you can get your money back. -you can replace the lenses easily -the product is great but I wish they were more durable. -pictures attached were taken with Meta Glasses gen1

They do everything I want them to do. I love the features of the phone and music on them! I love the ask Meta feature. They’re also stylish! Many compliments on them.

Grandson suggested as a gift for his dad at Xmas. Bought three pair for all three of my sons. A couple of them actually wore those particular glasses are style, and they have actually loved the features one using them to video baseball that his son plays and the other for placing ads and the other for watching his children show their cattle. They all love them very much very easy to use to answer phones to listen to music and a video with. In the pictures I’ve included are our 92-year-old parents/grandparents/great grandparents trying them on, who were very interested in them,and one of our sons.
