This is probably the most versatile comfortable headset out there that has an amazingly good sounding mic! Now im no stranger to gaming headsets, ive had a LOT of them including the older blackshark v2 pro. I can say with this new v3 pro that it’s a pretty nice upgrade all around. Specifically I like that they brought back the 3.5mm audio cable to usb c so it can be used with basically any source with an audio jack. This has the ability to connect to 2 sources at once aka 2.4 and bluetooth so you can have music or a phone call in your ears along with game and still control your game/voice balance with the rolling dial on the ear cup which is just perfect. Any settings if you connect to your phone and use the razer app you can change basically anything and actually save the settings to the headset itself for use with any source and it locks it in. This in itself is something ive wanted for years. The battery life is rated at 48 hours and though I havent timed my use I can say it lasted 3 days of solid music and gaming use before being low which is way more than prior. These are extremely comfortable, ive always loved the whole ear cup suspension wire design it makes it even better this time around with the light swivel ability to relieve the old pain point that could sometimes break. You can cycle through 9 presets for EQ using the button on the ear cup or double press the same button for source control. (Or use the app) The real star of the show if you care is the fact these have active noise cancelation (ANC). And with multi level control of such in the settings app it’s actually amazing to lock in with. I have several high end ANC wireless headphones and though these are not at that level these are far beyond any run of the mill headphones let alone gaming headset which these blow everything else out of the water on. Not to mention THE best sounding mic in any wireless set ive ever tried. This is just the best of all things around with the most options to be used there is no reason not to get the xbox version of this headset either because you can still use it with PC or anything else if you need because there is multiple chips in the headset for connectivity it just works for almost everything which isnt usually a thing for the “xbox version”.

PROS: - Earpads are super comfortable (all-around comfort is an A+++) - Top build & material quality, which really makes it feel premium - Sleek, minimalistic design is a great change from RGB light focused sets. - Excellent sound with Windows Sonic with Xbox as well as Dolby Atmos (if you have a license). - Excellent microphone with a large boom Very impressive battery life (approx 60-70 hrs). SO-SO: - $250 price tag (while this may seem to be expensive for a gaming headset, I feel like they do live up to the price tag when comparing them to other premium sets - ANC gives a bit of distortion (if you're looking for it); However, that is true with most ANC tech these days CONS: - Given the high price and premium of this headset, I wish they'd come with an included license for Dolby Atmos. Razer is at its best when it focuses solely on its gaming products. In the past, they've lost their way with overexpansion to other markets, but in the past few years, they've found their way again by focusing on what they do best. Their new BlackShark V3 Pro comes at a time when there are many options for gaming headsets available. With these devices, it's hard to set itself apart in a saturated market. Yet, Razer has done so with their newest flagship headset. With audio drivers designed for enhanced sound clarity and richness, this headset is engineered to provide an immersive audio experience that is hard to match (especially on the Xbox). Not only does it boast improved sound quality from previous versions, but it also includes other features, making it one of the best high-end gaming headsets I've had the pleasure of using in recent years. And boy, have I used many. The BlackShark V3 Pro clearly stands out among my favorite headsets at home. Its combination of design, audio performance, and useful features makes it our new go-to for the Xbox setup. The fact that there isn't a single RGB light associated with this headset is a surprise considering Razer's past fixation with overindulgent lighting. What's the most critical aspect of a headset? The sound. Never mind how long the battery life lasts when the sound isn't up to par. Right? I can safely say, the sound on this set of cans is rich, precise, and detailed. The V3 Pro is a well-balanced headset on the default EQ settings. The settings themselves are easy to tweak, but I haven't felt the need to stray away from the default. When using them with the Xbox, I chose both Dolby Atmos and Windows Sonic, and I prefer Dolby, but again, this is probably subjective. I played a bit of Indiana Jones, Cyberpunk, and NBA 2K25, and all games sounded outstanding. Cyberpunk, especially, with its emphasis on sound design, helps this headset truly shine. The positional audio and overall sound quality of the drivers (50mm) significantly reduce distortion and enhance the finer details. Situated along the right earpad, you'll find physical buttons designed for seamless navigation through various EQ presets, as well as a chat volume mix wheel. Additionally, the active noise cancellation (ANC) and ambient sound toggle are also available. These tactile buttons and wheel make it really easy to adjust while you're playing. Other headsets I've had in the past have been frustrating because I find it easier to take the headset off and make the necessary changes rather than try to while wearing it. The V3 makes it so you can easily adjust without frustrations. On the left side of the headset, you'll discover the power button, mic mute toggle, and a USB-C charging port (I'm so glad USB-C is the standard across electronics). The master volume is conveniently adjusted via a prominent knob that protrudes from the left earcup, providing easy reach and precise digital volume control for any platform. If you prefer a wired setup over a wireless one, you can use it wired (especially when the battery needs to be recharged). The V3 Pro may look a lot like its previous version, the V2, but it's no doubt refined. The headband is made from a flexible aluminum frame, wrapped in a leatherette upper and stitched with a jersey mesh cushion underneath. The headset has thin aluminum collars that not only extend outward, allowing for ample adjustments to secure a comfortable fit. It all feels lightweight (376 grams) and comfortable when wearing it, even for extended hours. Both my son and I share it while we play single-player campaigns, and neither of us has to fuss with adjustments when we use it. One of the best parts of the V3 Pro is the earpads, which are constructed with thick memory foam and encased in a soft, jersey fabric that helps with breathability. This can be one of the biggest gripes gamers have. No one wants sweaty, hot ears that only bring discomfort. The V3 Pro adds to its comfort with the breathability. The clamp force is mild, meaning it won't give excessive pressure, no matter how big your head may be (I have a large one). This device features noise cancellation (ANC), simultaneous audio connectivity, and a wired analog input option. The natural closed-back design offers excellent sound isolation. ANC sometimes can distort the audio, and with the V3 Pro, if you listen carefully, you can hear the difference. Still, it's not nearly as impactful as some of the headsets I've had in the past. If you're playing in a quiet environment, I'd leave off ANC, but if you're in a busy household trying to enjoy a game or two, you'll want to use it. As per the product's description, the BlackShark V3 Pro is designed for use with the 2.4GHz wireless dongle (10ms latency). I'm not a "professional gamer" by any means, but if I were, I wouldn't hesitate to use this headset. When setting it up with my Xbox, I had a bit of trouble connecting it, but only because I was used to connecting using Bluetooth, which didn't work as well as plugging it into the Xbox and connecting it that way. Now, that may have been user error on my part, so you may have better success than I. The battery life of the BlackShark V3 Pro is impressive, while Razer claims 70 hours, with ANC enabled, I measured around the lower 60s. With so many different sound settings, battery life can vary. The microphone sports a large boom (compared to so many other headsets we've had in the past), which only helps with the crisp sound of voices (so I've been told). It's nice to be able to take it out when I don't need it. Still, generally, I leave it in so my son doesn't have to bother putting it in when he plays Fortnite or any other online game with his friends.

I spent a week with the Razer BlackShark V3 Pro ANC Wireless Gaming Headset for Xbox and it's impressive. This model introduces hybrid active noise cancellation, upgraded 50 mm TriForce bio-cellulose drivers, and a new detachable 12 mm microphone. The Xbox version supports Windows Sonic and features green accents to set it apart. This headset is definitely designed for serious players who want more than the basics. Even though it can be used for PC and other platforms, my focus was on how well it does with Xbox gaming. Unboxing The headset comes in Razer’s black and green packaging. Inside are the headset itself, a detachable microphone, a HyperSpeed Gen-2 dongle that has the USB and Xbox switch, with a USB-C to USB-A cable, a USB-C charging cable, and a USB-C to 3.5 mm adapter. The Xbox model adds green stitching and magnetic side covers that conceal a removable battery. Setup was simple, with the dongle instantly pairing to my Xbox Series X. Controls include a large volume wheel, ANC switch, and game and chat dial. There's a mic mute/unmute button and EQ presets for game, music, movie, and Esports. Everything feels sturdy and premium, there are not creaks or parts that feel loose, although the dongle takes up more space than a simple stick receiver. Specs The V3 Pro weighs just under 370 grams and uses memory foam earcups wrapped in fabric. There are 50 mm bio-cellulose drivers rated from 20 Hz to 28 kHz. Wireless are Razer’s 2.4 GHz low-latency link and Bluetooth 5.3, and you can run both at once. Battery life is specced up to 70 hours on PC and about 48 on Xbox, with quick charging that give you six hours of use in fifteen minutes. The detachable microphone includes noise suppression. On Xbox the headset supports Windows Sonic and PC users can use THX Spatial. Features The standout feature is hybrid active noise cancellation that cuts down on background noise. It's really impressive, cancelling out almost everything around me. There is a mode that lets in ambient sound outside sound through when needed. The headset can pair over 2.4 GHz and Bluetooth at the same time, which makes it easy to take a call or play music while gaming. There is a physical game and chat balance wheel that makes adjustments easier when playing with a group. Razer includes EQ presets, like ones tuned specifically for shooters, and you can dive into the app if you want to fully customize the sound yourself. The headset feels great to wear over hours of gaming. It has oval ear cushions, a sturdy headband, and earcups that swivel just enough to fit comfortably. I also like that the battery is removable, so you can swap it out down the road instead of replacing the whole headset, but more importantly swap it out if you're in the middle of a gaming session and don't have time for a quick charge. Performance The headset sounds excellent across different types of games. In shooters like Halo Infinite and Overwatch 2, directional audio was very precise and helped me locate opponents all around me. You can hear footsteps and calculate distance based off the sound. Explosions have a lot of weight without drowning out voices or footsteps. You can adjust the EQ if you need to dial down highs or just find the exact sound you're looking for. The microphone is clear and sounds lime my natural voice for team chat, though it still picks up some room noise. ANC is really good. I really got lost in my games; with someone sitting less than 10 feet away gaming on a computer, and I didn't hear a sound. After long gaming sessions the headset was still comfortable. Battery life lived up to expectations, giving me nearly a week of daily gaming before recharging. I didn't count the hours but it's long. The BlackShark V3 Pro for Xbox is one of the best headsets out there for console gaming. It has detailed and accurate audio, long battery life, it's comfortable, and exceptional noise cancellation. It's the most complete headset I've had on the Xbox, and Windows Sonic is a cool extra for Xbox gamers. The dongle is a little bulkier than I would like, but overall the experience justifies any minor complaints for those who want premium gear. The microphone is very good for team chat, even if it's not a dedicated studio mic. Razer really delivered a premium headset and it's nice to have features the pros use even if you're only a casual gamer. I would definitely recommend these headphones to anyone serious about xbox gaming. Pros and Cons Pros Exceptional directional audio with good highs and lows Noise cancellation that removes background distractions Comfortable design for long hours of gaming Battery life up to 48 hours on Xbox with quick charge of 6 hours Detachable microphone Adjustable EQ settings Multiple connectivity options with dual wireless mode (Bluetooth and wireless) Game/Chat balance wheel Premium build with a removable battery and interchangeable magnetic ear plates Cons Dongle and cable take up extra space Microphone can pick up a little background noise Default sound might need a few adjustments on EQ
