I recently purchased the Razer Blade 16 with the NVIDIA RTX 4090 GPU and Intel i9 13950HX processor, and it's exceeded all my expectations. This laptop is blazing fast, especially when running GPU-intensive games. During initial testing, in Assassin's Creed Valhalla at 4K ultra settings, I consistently get 80-90 FPS, and in Jedi Survivor, it holds steady at 75 FPS. The performance is incredible, and the thermals are top-notch. The mini-LED screen is stunning, for which my unit did not have any sort of screen retention issues present in BOE panels that others have been reporting since the model came out. Apparently the new ones ships out with the better AUO panel. The speakers are very loud and clear, lacking a bit in bass, but still much better than my older Omen 15 (though not quite on par with my MacBook Pro). They definitely get the job done for gaming and media. The RGB lighting is a fantastic touch, though I wish Synapse didn't have to run in the background for my specific effects to work. Only a few default RGB settings can be toggled without it, which is a minor annoyance. The battery life has also been pretty good, averaging around 4-5 hours on battery as expected from a new gaming laptop. Razer also provides a battery safety feature allowing us to set the max charging limit of the laptop to a particular percentage like 80%, which is a good feature to have built in. Overall, my experience with the Blade 16 has been excellent, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a high-performance gaming laptop.

This laptop was a huge roller coaster for me. I had to exchange it four times to get a proper laptop without ghosting issues or huge blooming. The variance is insane between laptops, and part of it is that Razer switched up mini-led display manufacturers a few times since the release of the laptop. Originally, review samples came with panels made by a company called AUO. After the laptop was released, at some point, they switched to BOE. The AUO panels had issues originally such as stuck images, but some hotfixes by Razer fixed them. Whether due to shortages or pricing, Razer went to BOE which is considered a lesser-quality brand of display. My experiences and other reviewers can verify that BOE simply falls short of AUO panels. The first three of my Blade 16s were BOE and all had issues, my fourth and final is AUO which I've kept. That's not to say you can't get a BOE without issues, it just seems AUO on average has fewer issues. You can check your display manufacturer in the device manager. I have some photos in the reviews, I wish I had taken more. The only photos I have are gamma shown in the comparisons and one blooming. 2/3 of the BOEs also had terrible ghosting and blooming issues, noticeable by some of my coworkers from several feet away. The other BOE only had blooming issues, which I'm familiar with that mini-led displays do have based on the number of dimming zones, but compared to the other 3, this one was significantly worse. When you do get a working mini-led display (even the ones I had issues with), they are AMAZING with HDR content. So incredibly bright and sharp, it's incomparable with IPS or OLED. The 1k+ nits really are an eye-opener. Definitely worth ducking under your desk if you get flash-banged in a game with HDR on. IF you can get a unicorn laptop without any issues, the laptop is fantastic. Very "slim" form factor housing a mobile 4090 that can reach equivalent performance to a desktop 3090 with DLSS3.0. The 13950HX outperforms my 9900k desktop CPU in Total War Warhammer, getting roughly around ~70 FPS in the benchmark compared to the ~60 of my 9900k + 4080. It's amazing how far laptops have come, housing portable powerhouse performance. Only the rear end of the laptop gets hot, and the palm rest and keyboard get moderately warm when gaming. The fans are relatively quiet, if you have speakers at normal volume or a headset, you will not hear them when gaming. Lately, I have been playing Starfield in 4k with the DLSS3.0 mod getting roughly 60-90 FPS with ultra settings. This laptop can really perform, it's just hard to recommend when there's such a huge quality control problem. I would like to say, "It's Razer's first mini-led laptop, it's bound to have issues", but when you're spending over $4000, that's unacceptable. They NEED to do a better job, and I hope their second iteration shows it.

I got a unit made in 06/23, so I thought I would get one without any screen or trackpad issues mentioned by other reviewers. Boy, I was wrong! The screen exhibits retentions in magnitudes I’ve never experienced before even with Plasma TVs. This is just after installing the required updates on Windows 11. Moving a white window or box vertically shows many banded areas of discoloration. Even command prompt texts are not uniform in color or intensity! It is bright for sure, but the uniformity is nonexistent. Another issue was a tiny 1mm ding on the top back edge. I never expected to find a chip right after opening a beautiful box. I’ve had 4-5 MacBook Pros over the years and never experienced this before. It’s a fast laptop, it really is, but the quality and screen is awful which is not acceptable for a close to $5000 (after tax) machine. If they offered any other screen type for 4090, I would return this in heartbeat, but this is the only config available which is lame.

So I've had mine for about a month now and I am VERY happy with it. I upgraded the RAM to 64GB and replaced the SSDs with 2 Samsung 990 Pros for a total of 8TB. The 4K screen looks amazing and looked even better once I calibrated the screen. I did have some issues with the Synapse program initially but once I created a Razer account and signed in, all of the issues went away. Looks like it downloads your profile from a server vs storing them on the computer (not sure why they do it this way). The trackpad could use a little bit of tuning. It's not as good as a macbook but not worse than a Dell. It sometimes doesn't register taps and because it's so large, my palm can accidentally touch the edge. The battery life is what I expected for a machine of this caliber. There are a number of tricks that can be employed to extend the battery life, that I have not tried yet. I'm aware of the battery issues people have had and as such, I keep mine plugged in and at 50%. I only fully charge if I know I'm going to be away from an outlet. I have done some 4K video editing on it and it handled it beautifully. CPU didn't even break 40% usage. And the fans were not terribly loud. in fact, I expected them to be louder for a machine like this. Overall, I'm very happy with this machine. I got it primarily for 4K video editing and AI/ML. But because of the hardware, I'm going to try gaming on it as well! If you want a portable powerhouse, this is it!

I've had this garbage laptop for 29 days and this has been the most unreliable machine I have ever used. It has crashed numerous times almost every day. It crashes while gaming (120Hz & 240Hz), watching YouTube, watching Netflix, using Word, using Excel, and just sitting idle. It crashes when it's hot and when it's cold. I upgraded the RAM to 64GB (DDR5 5600MHz) and the SSD (Samsung 990 Pro 2TB) and it still crashes. It even crashes on a powerful cooling stand. I get different errors when the Blue Screen of Death appears, like: KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION FAULTY_HARDWARE_CORRUPTED_PAGE I DO NOT recommend this laptop.

It’s a great laptop. I can only judge it on performance since it doesn’t overheat in my experience. I also have a stand to keep it lifted plus external mini keyboard with a mouse. Very fast and rightfully so for the amount it costs. I’d recommend with the extra peripherals to keep it from overheating.

This could be a 10/10 God-tier level laptop and a pure work of art for a gaming laptop. I love this exquisite super sleek, and contemporary design more than any laptop I’ve used thus far. Obviously, I love the color black more than anything else and fall for it every time, so I'm so glad Razer understands beauty in the same ways I do. Dark anodized aluminum feels nice on all sides of the Razer Blade 16. With drilled holes for the speakers sitting next to the keyboard. Feels like pure beautiful dark luxury. The Caveat? Blade 16 is extremely premium with a hefty price tag you must be comfortable spending. Finally! A laptop that matches a matte tool when you leave for a day at the park. The Razer logo that lights bright reminds me of a bunch of snakes in the garden and a wilder time in my life. Zoom calls have never been so much fun outdoors at the park. I got about 5 hrs before the laptop died off the battery which is actually impressive. The Razer Blade 16 is just too expensive from my standpoint gaming standpoint. So I’m going to approach this from another angle. One that if I had the spare money would I spend on this much gaming laptop? Screen: This laptop is the first with “Dual-display” meaning it can switch from 4K 120hz to 1920x1200 240hz. So you can switch between the two display modes. It is great for workflow and gaming. It’s a very interesting display in the world of gaming. Gamers have been asking for this kind of tech for a while and it works really well here. The hinge on the lid is very very sturdy. No cheap materials anywhere on Blade 16 laptop at all. (4K): 4K is beautiful and left me with an optimal experience. Mini-LED display gets bright. The 4K / 3840 x 2160 / 16:10 / 120hz display is one of the best features of this Blade 16. The fact that it can handle mobile 4K gaming on the go is something to be proud of. Every pixel in the screen grabs your attention. Cranking the graphics all the way up with no reservations felt great. 4090 kept up with the screen resolution. To my surprise, nothing struggled to run. Everything is crisp and sharp with text on screen, videos look amazing with the 4K pixels, and Games give insane framerate. I do appreciate everything Razer put inside this one. There is nothing else you could want in a portable package. Most likely I will use the 4K screen option the most from dual display because this is what you are essentially playing for. (UHD+) Cutting to the chase it’s fuzzy and strange. 1920x1200 @ 240hz is here but I have to tell the truth that it doesn’t look all that great in comparison to the 4K. It’s just a strange fuzzy display but not enough to take you out of the gameplay experience. But this is perfect for competitive gameplay. I really didn’t have an issue with this mode but it’s a display mode I probably won’t be using at all. Sound: THX sound is branded all over the laptop. It has amazing sound quality. This has got to be some of the best speakers. I can hear clearly unlike other manufacturers. Fan noise on performance mode is the loudest when you kick it into ultra settings. Storage: 2TB of storage is on board which is plenty of space to play all the AAA and smaller games on. 1GB is populated in each NvMe slot. I wish they would just use 1x 2TB drive. I/O: There are many ports here to insert all the USB plugs into. 5x USB-A, 1x Thunderbolt 4 port, USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C, HDMI, and power connector. There is no ethernet port and would have been great for a hardline connection. For a "pro" machine it should be there. Especially with this kind of power and competitive games being utilized. Both Thunderbolt and USB-C can do power delivery up to 100w; charging devices with the laptop should be speedy no matter what side you use. There is a full-size SD card reader on the side for creative work. The webcam is just that. An average webcam with no qualities to talk about. Honestly, I don’t see why a better webcam isn’t in here for the sake of it. area that shouldn't be lacking in laptops today. Microsoft Teams and Zoom were just adequate. This price and still no good webcam is blowing my mind. Keyboard: The keyboard is flat feeling and tactile, and the travel is very minimal compared to others. Feels good to type on but leaves fingerprints in a way. In fact, the whole laptop is a fingerprint magnet, leaving prints everywhere all around the machine. There isn’t a number pad here like bigger laptops as clearly there isn’t enough room in a 16-inch body. These are not mechanical switches, they are membranes so take it for what that’s worth to you. It’s also a visually stunning keyboard that it also has a way of turning off the RGB. That way it can just be a normal laptop without the flash. Thank you, Razer for making Chroma. This app just makes it easier for people to turn off RGB with fewer complaints. For those who do care about the RGB, it is per-key and looks extraordinary; it's very complimentary to the keyboard. No light bleed from the keys. Gets ultra-bright so you will see the keys. Indeed one of the best-looking laptop keyboards. Trackpad: Very wide trackpad giving tons of room to move your fingertips. It's crazy how large the trackpad actually is in person. Glass trackpad feels nice to the touch. This alone put other Windows laptop OEMs to shame. It’s large and I appreciate having it here. Tons of room for fingers to travel and do Windows gestures. Windows Hello: Works great with the IR sensor built-in. Easily recognized my face and opened it right up. It was less of a hassle to log in to the PC. I am one who would love to see more gaming laptops move to mostly IR for sensors for face unlock. Weight on the Razer Blade 16 is heavy carrying it room to room. it's not a light laptop to really be lugging around all day. if you backpacking the charger is also quite heavy. 10-12 pounds with the included power brick. Performance: Nvidia RTX 4090: The 4090 is the end-all for GPUs in this form factor. For this price, it should be in there but there is a power limit. 150w TGP. From what I tested it gives you insane framerate with DLSS 3.0 in games that support it. I've lushed over the 4K graphics, It really takes away your full attention. Everything is sharp. Cyberpunk using DLSS. It ripped through Timespy benchmarking. Most AAA in 4K games ran as smooth as butter. Had no issues playing any game I owned. Control, Doom Eternal, The Last of Us: Part 1, Black Mesa, Spider-man, Need for Speed: Unbound, Dead Space (Remake) Grand Theft Auto V, Cyberpunk 2077, Resident Evil 2 (Remake), Death Stranding, Genshin Impact, The Spectrum Retreat, Lies of P, Forza Horizon 5, High on life, God of War, Final Fantasy 7 (Remake) and the Witcher III...Every single game just ran so well. Impressive for a laptop of this size. Still, I just don't feel like you need this much power for gaming only (Tech articles know this as well.) Yes, you get the ungodly power of having an insane framerate but is it that serious? E-sports is a very powerful reason for owning. That alone could make me go out and buy this. Overwatch 2, Gears 5, Killing Floor 2, Street Fighter 6, Mortal Kombat 11, and Halo Infinite were fun in a competitive settings setting where the frames reach into the triple digits. So far with my testing DLSS 3.0 was doing it’s job of inserting frames into Cyberpunk 2077. (Timespy Extreme: 9792) (Timespy: 18203) (Port Royal: 13161) (Forza Horizon 5 / 4K / DLSS Quality / 97 FPS) (High on Life / 4K / DLSS Quality / 72 FPS) But why have this kind of power for gaming alone? Razer Blade 16 was a powerful rending professional application. That’s also another option why this laptop pulls its weight with creative workflow and content. HDR and normal content looked more true to life than any mobile display thus far. Star Wars: Ashoka is one of my favorites to watch on the device. The bad: The laptop gets so hot that it’s actually slightly concerning. I’ve never felt such heat from a laptop before. In this bracket you expect nothing but the best so would I. Even if you can deal with the price, the heat is the biggest problem so far. So much heat is generated from the keyboard (near the Delete key) that it’s nearly untouchable. I honestly couldn’t tell you if the power is worth the heat but playing games were smooth. The heat from the blade 16 extends to the lid/panel as well so you can feel it from all sides. And would never place this on a lap while doing intensive tasks, I asked a friend to come touch the bottom and top and they said it was uncomfortable for them. That was enough to raise eyebrows for me. Conclusion: On a line level, this has everything an individual enthusiast would want in a portable laptop system; but underneath is the high price tag and uncomfortable heat generating. I never felt or seen a laptop that had this much problem with the heat. I would recommend this for PC enthusiasts or if you want tons of graphical power in a laptop form. Blade 16 is just not as good as other RTX 4090 laptops that launched this year. Visually stunning or not that’s the truth. Maybe step down a bit in the tier of graphics if you want to save some dough. Razer has tons of fantastic PC devices that can fit your needs and budget. But as someone who would want an all-in-one on-the-go machine and be freely able to spend, I'll pick this choice. Razer Blade 16 would be a solid alternative to replacing a desktop. I do happen to enjoy it enough to keep her at my side for as long as necessary. As side from the heating problem…The experience of playing at these frames was alluring every time you lay eyes on the screen. There is a certain black elegance to its design so it can fit into your lifestyle. Love the dual display modes and appreciate what Razer stuffed into a 16-inch screen to push display tech forward. I really enjoy the features of the Blade 16 and has everything I would want in a laptop. The real issue here is the heat. Low 4 out of 5 stars.

So first of all most of the issues that people were having such as with the display and trackpad were fixed within the first month of release through bios and firmware updates. So that being said, let's get started because this is actually an incredible machine. First of all, it's pricey. Like insanely pricey, but it has a one-of-a-kind offering and Razer definitely knows that here. It's a mini-LED display (one of the best I've seen), it's got a 4k/1080p dual display, it has a 4090, it's fairly thin, it's fairly light, the power brick isn't crazy big, it's just got a lot of what people want in a laptop. Power, portability, not too loud, not too thick, nice to look at, etc. I don't think anything really justifies that price point but that doesn't make it a bad laptop, just not the best value or bang-for-your-buck out there. You're paying a Razer and Nvidia tax for sure, but if you want one of the most "premium" looking and performing machines out there, then this is it. PERFORMANCE: So this thing performs like a beast. It's got the full-blown 175-watt RTX 4090 that the much bigger laptops are packing like the MSI Titan (which is even more expensive by the way), and it even performs very similarly, hitting close to the same fps in games. The GPU doesn't really hit 175w all that often, but it still performs insanely well. You've got an unlocked i9-13950HX which means you can undervolt and adjust power limits within Razer Synapse and boost your CPU big time. I've seen record-breaking numbers from this CPU right here (30k+ multi-core in Cinebench R23, which is absolutely mind-blowing). DISPLAY: The display is one of the big selling points here. The 4k looks stunning and sharp, and you definitely do notice it in text. Do I think gaming in 4k on a laptop is a good idea? No. You can do it, but honestly you're better off hooking up to a QHD monitor or just lowering your resolution in games to QHD or switching to the FHD mode, which still looks great while offering much better fps numbers. However, 4K gaming is definitely possible with the performance levels of this laptop (desktop equivalent of like a 3080 Ti or 3090 range), especially when you throw in DLSS and frame generation. The mini-LED display goes up to 1,100+ nits and it is eye-melting bright with amazing contrast. The only ones that can match this are from Asus and they have an advantage of being able to toggle the local dimming switch, which I wish this had because the dimming algorithm can get in the way of content creation at times. Search "Before you Buy a Mini-LED Laptop" on YouTube for more info on that. But it's not OLED so you don't have to worry about burn-in, and HDR 1000 is truly a sight to behold in games and movies. It's vibrant, it's brighter than the sun - it's beautiful. FAN NOISE: A lot of people are missing this point, but this thing is quieter than every other 4090 laptop I've tested (which is almost all of them). It hits less than 50 dB at max performance, and the star of the show is really its Balanced and Silent profiles. The Balanced mode gives you amazing performance still while cutting fan noise in half. Silent mode also still performs amazing while being even quieter. This thing is a bit of a unicorn in this regard since most laptops cut performance WAY back in their Balanced or Quiet modes. Temps get a little warmer for sure but the chassis stays cool enough to comfortably game in these modes. And then while casual browsing the fans stay off or at a low enough rpm to not even hear. The underside does get a bit warm on your legs though if you decide to use it on your lap. I wish they would go with a magnesium/aluminum/plastic hybrid type of body for this reason, but people do love that full-body CNC. BATTERY: It's a power-hungry i9-13950HX so it's not going to have the best battery life out there but it still does well in this regard, getting me about 5+ hours in YouTube playback. That's not too shabby compared to other 4080/4090 laptops out there. MISC: The rest of the laptop is great. The design is nice, very clean looking but a bit of a fingerprint magnet. Keyboard is easy to type on for me with great RGB lighting. Webcam is pretty good with a nice privacy shutter, great port selection, power brick is GaN and much smaller than the competition, and if you're a little more savvy with opening laptops, you can pretty easily replace the liquid paste with something like PTM7950 for better temperatures in games. Overall it's a great device and I went into it with low expectations after seeing reviews like these. Razer has been actively putting out bios and firmware updates to only further improve the experience on this laptop which is pretty respectable. Other good alternatives to this would be the Asus Zephyrus M16 or Zephyrus G14 for those who might find this one a little too large. But you will be sacrificing a little performance for those. That's kind of what makes this one a unicorn. It's got something for everyone, and for some people this might just be the perfect laptop.

Gaming laptops are a dime a dozen and every pc company makes them but not everyone can make a solid device that can do it all. Personal computers have certainly come a long way. I am old enough to remember MS version 4.0 aka windows 95 and those ancient device can not do even a fraction of what a modern pc is capable of. And with that being said I want to discuss the Razer Blade 16 2023 model because it is a beast! :::General thoughts::: There are so many gaming devices to chose from but pc gaming is just better in so many ways. I own all the modern consoles and now this Razer and nothing comes close to it in specs or capability. I was so happy when this arrived by mail it was 12lbs and in a discreet box and that was greatly appreciated because this is a PREMIUM DEVICE in every possible way. Once I cracked it open it was pretty straight forward and was packaged neatly and padded to protect the device which I found to be awesome. My first impressions were positive because I am impressed on just how much tech is crammed into this small form factor. And what really drew me to this was the Mini LED screen , Core i9 and the 4090 graphics card. If you intend on buying this then this is "the model to get". Setup is typical of any windows 11 device once you have seen one then you have typically seen them all. Now I want to mention that I am well aware that there are those who have had less than ideal experiences with Razer products but that can be true of any brand with pretty much any product. Do not let that deter you from considering this as a purchase after all that is what is warranties are for. And from my experience Best Buy offers one of the best warranty programs available to consumers so there is even less to worry about if you ask me. I had to mention this because this is a solid device that is well made and amazing in every possible way. I have had this device for around a week and I have played a few games, watched movies, and videos to put this through its paces. The CPU & GPU combo was a great choice of power and efficiency. There really is a lot to like now I want to go a little further in detail. :::Pros & Cons::: Pros: - MINI LED screen - I/O - Storage - Upgradeable - Premium build quality - Power Cons: - Not for everyone :::Findings::: Now having used this for a week I have found that Windows 11 has improved a little over time and the combination of hardware makes this nothing short of amazing. The reason you would buy this is for games. The hardware can handle anything that you throw at it. It is just a beast I tested Cyberpunk and other games and they all look AMAZING and play well at better than average frame rates. The brightness of the screen is unreal and I have never seen a screen on a laptop get as bright as this. I have pretty good technical knowledge of computers but the screen having a dual refresh rate is astonishing I do not know how Razer managed this but I prefer playing in 4K 120Hz although 240Hz is really good for FPS games. From what I know you can only change this setting in the synapse app by Razer. I wish it was a setting you could change within the OS but I understand why the app is needed to do so. The screen is a 16:10 ratio so it is slightly better than 4K. I gotten used to the default 16:9 ratio but this is nice. As you can see the screen is top notch, the keyboard is great and each key is spaced enough to type comfortably, the trackpad is the largest I ever used and is responsive. the speakers are plenty loud and do not sound like tin cans. I wanted to discuss the power brick for this. For those who are new to gaming laptops this razer comes with a proprietary adapter and it is rated at 330 Watts and is this way to power that sweet RTX 4090 GPU and Intel i9 CPU. It is sort of like a USB C cable that can be inserted either way to the left or right it is your choice I install it facing to the left so that it doesn't block the USB ports. There are plenty of I/O and the battery life is average for a gaming laptop so that is not really shocking power like this comes at the price of battery life. I also like that you can upgrade the RAM & SSD in this laptop just be sure to have a T5 screwdriver on hand. You can find videos on couture if you want to see how to upgrade your device. :::Closing thoughts::: This chonky laptop has a lot to offer so I say if you are shopping for a top notch gaming device then this is "THE CONFIGURATION" to get and it doesn't take much to upgrade it to max spec either. Overall I find myself choosing to use my Razer 16 more than my other devices. I have an ROG ALLY but I do not really use it as much as I thought I would. Now there is a whole lot to love but I wanted to go into detail about what I meant earlier about this not being for everyone. I simply meant that this may not be an option for the laymen due to the fact that top of the line components do not come cheap so be prepared to spend quite a bit on this device. That was the only complaint I had with the device if you can even call it that. I did not discuss the specifications on the device because that can be easily found in the description. This review was written to help you make an informed decision on how to spend your hard earned money. :::TL;DR::: You want one of the best gaming laptops out on the market then look no further because this does it all and it does so without breaking a sweat. And it looks good while doing it too.

I have owned this for just a tad over a week now, from trying out my daily tasks to gaming and I have a like/hate relationship with it. The unboxing experience was good, I really liked the packaging, and how great it felt unpacking this laptop that was securely shipped. Razer did a fantastic job on that. Giving a score for each category with 5 being the best and 1 being the worst. Build quality (3): The laptop chassis, housing or if you call it "the outside shell hiding all the internal parts inside" is made up of anodized metal, feels really premium and durable, however, the only gripe I could say about it is with it being anodized, it can get scratched fairly easy with a scrape of a fingernail or a hardback book that went against it, I noticed very small minor scratches. Its not a deal breaker but if you are looking to keep this in pristine condition, I would suggest making sure when moving or touching the laptop, you are very careful with what is touching it. Port selection (4): Very satisfied with the port selection, the left side has the power input port, (2) USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, a USB C 3.2 Gen 2 port, 3.5 mm audio combo jack and then on the right side has a UHS-II SD card slot, Thunderbolt 4 Port, a third USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A Port, HDMI 2.1 output port and a Kensington lock. No ports in the front or back. The power cable that goes into the power input port, it is a right angle plug, you can have it coming out towards the front which would block the majority of the ports on the side or have it plugged in going out away from the ports. CPU/GPU Quality (4): Powerful and fast but watch and keep check on the internal temps as the temps will get up there when playing demanding games, I tried out the recently released Starfield as my first test and within 5-10 minutes of playing, the top part above the keyboard/below the panel of the screen got extremely hot and as the temperature went up, the fans were getting faster and more noticeable to hear but not to loud where I couldn't hear the dialogue and sounds from the game. I have included a screenshot of my 3DMark benchmark test results and they are very favorable with fantastic results for a integrated mobile 4090 GPU, not as fast as a full fledge 4090 in a desktop but it will handle the newest games out there. Upgradability (4): The screws used are a uncommon type, there is (8) TR5 screws holding the bottom casing of the laptop, you can slide it off. If your needing to upgrade/replace the SSD's, do NOT BUY A DOUBLE SIDED SSD, it has to be one sided SSD or else, it wont fit. I have read the memory can be upgraded to 64GB max but you will have to make sure its compatible as I read from some that this laptop is picky on which memory you get. The display quality (1): Now this one is one of the biggest complaints I have, this MiniLED Panel has some issues, it has ghosting, blooming artifacts, I found out from doing some research that Razer has two variants of the panel one called BOE and one called AUO. The BOE panel that is used in this laptop is what is faulty. Not sure if BOE that makes panels is faulty in general or if its driver issues with Razer and this laptop. If its a driver issue, I hope maybe that Razer can release a update very soon in the future. With this issue, It would not be fair to myself or potential buyers out there to rate this overall with a high star rating. Speakers sounds pretty good, gets very loud, I feel like the bass is distorted somewhat, with turning THX Spatial Audio off, it sounds a lot better. Camera is decent quality, would do good for streaming or even Zoom calls and such. It has a privacy shutter slider if you want to open or block the camera from being out there. The built in microphone sounds great also. No bloat is installed (unless you factor in the Windows 11 bloat apps, like Whatsapp, Instagram, etc which that is not on Razer at all, that is all Microsoft's doing with how they have done since releasing Windows 10), the only thing is the Razer Synapse software for adjusting the RGB lighting or turning it off completely, adjusting your fan curves, the profiles if you want silent, performance or boost while plugged in. Another small gripe I have is the Power button is a key, in my opinion, I never liked power buttons as a key, instead a power button being on the side of the laptop or up in the top somewhere that isn't part of the keyboard. Then one other pet peeve of mine is most laptops do not include a SSD Drive LED indicator light, I would suggest Razer implement a SSD LED indicator light somewhere on future laptops to show the customer if there is any activity going on with the SSD because sometimes, Windows or a game could hang on a black screen and your not sure if its loading up or if its froze and that indicator always helps out determining if the SSD is reading/writing anything or if its just static/not flashing. As a added bonus, a Wifi Indicator LED light is always welcome also. Overall, I would love to recommend this laptop for its $4,299 price tag, however, with the likes and the dislikes, the dislikes are more bearing then the likes, especially with the screen panel issues. I, unfortunately cannot recommend it as I would be ashamed if someone purchased this with my recommendation and then they ended up having display issues or other issues and with the possibility of the screen going out, or even worse, the entire laptop. It would be more easy to swallow, even for a gamble if it was priced $2,000 or below but I would recommend looking into other options.

The only 4k mini led screen gaming 4090 laptop.Brightness and Color is beautiful .But... not as good as u thought specifically when you moving windows around. FHD is useless. I can play most games at 4K, why I reboot!!!!! and switch to FHD . The build quality is super. But the heat air is right blowing ur screen . 100% perfect sure making ur screen's life shorter. Speaks are fantastic. When you play fully loaded games,it is sooooo loud. no one can sit by your side. U also need a noise cancelation headphones to enjoy ur game. Over all a beautiful black beast just could not handle AAA game perfectly. Get an Apple black Mac pro with M3 , if you like the premium black build.

First windows laptop - very impressed. Great build quality and crazy fast. Does get a little warm but not alarmingly. Battery could always last longer but given it boasts a 4090 that's not surprising. I'm most impressed by the 4k mini-led display. Colors pop and it's very bright.

Overall its not the best out there but the laptop getting hot even when i watch youtube or just do simple task, my games randomly freezes, the screen looks nice and great storage.

Amzing power, I bought it mostly for design work. I am an architect and technologist and was having a hard time finding a powerfull notebook for Virtual reality. I travel and have to go see clients and show the architectural projects on VR and no notebook was powerfull enough, I m very happy and I recomend it for who ever is interested in Unreal Engine and VR

Be careful there might be display blooming. Otherwise the laptop performance is very good

Razer - Blade 16 - 16'' Gaming Laptop - Dual Mini LED 4K UHD+FHD - Intel i9 HX - NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 - 32GB RAM - 2TB SSD - Black I have had this lappy for about 2 weeks now. first i will list the cons since most people want to hear bad news first. fingerprint magnet - I have had 5 razer blades and this is not an issue, it's just how razer blades have been made. -solution: dbrand skins hotness - um well, I have had alienwares and razers most of my life and these are my choice lappies and they get hotter the higher the specs. solution: dont play at higher settings; then whats the point. get a mini fan or use headphones so you can not hear the fans. mini-led, on this unit, I am not sure what people are talking about the blooming. I typically like oled, but leds have always had a glow/gray to me, I tested this monitor next to razer raptors and they look about the same although the minis are slightly crisper, not much. I connected to my lg oled65 and there is definitely "glowing" from the mini led display compared to lg oled65. I used an alien white logo. fans at bottom - always hated that and have had issues depressing on the fans before, but just had to watch where i grabbed the lappy. Overall I love this lappy. I have had to reinstall once already, normal for me, every new lappy I have crashed and reinstalled in the first month. I can not find anything wrong with this device yet.but have run aaa games on it pushed to limit and tried to crash the gpu. I have not succeeded. Battery lasted over hour playing on medium spec aaa game. amazing. Speed - I am impatient so this one year old chippy is awesome! Display - it's good, super bright clean and crisp, there is not "bleeding from the reds and blues from what I can tell that is normal, too bad OLED is not in the market right now - I pull out my 4yr old oled alien sometimes to play lower end games. I would only recommend this lappy to "gamers types..."

Beautiful and powerful!! The machine is heavy and not for intense lap gaming as it gets hot. Normal internet browsing and YouTube or other processes the machine handles with minimal noise.

Performs well. The palm rest reaches 108 to 109 degrees F when gaming for 15 minutes. That is 25 degrees higher than the Strix Scar and is just too hot. The mini led screen is great for gaming but to when using for productivity apps. The Strix Scar, for example, also has mini led panel but has a single zone setting for turning on the panel as a single even back light.

I was so excited for the 16 inch razer blade. I ordered the top of the line 16 Inch. The battery life is terrible compared to other gaming laptops and the track pad is defective. The trackpad issue basically double clicks and drags without user input. Many other people are experiencing the same thing. I was also planning on buying 7 more of these for my office but not anymore. I will returning this and never buying a Razer product again.

Bought this $4500 piece of junk for my daughter's first year of college in the school of architecture and 6 months in the screen has gone haywire!!!! Best Buy is like it will take 3 weeks to fix the screen!!! To a person majoring in architecture with no resolution or replacement !!!!!! This computer is trash!!! and Best Buy knows it, and should accommodate AT LEAST temporarily in order to complete assignments!!! Very disappointed for the amount of money we paid for this laptop!!! Not acceptable!!! Again 6 MONTHS!!!!
