Sound quality is amazing and the functionalities of the mic are awesome and really versatile for multiple forms of video/film work. I love that it can also record multiple decibles at the same time in case one was too quiet or one was too loud which really changed the game! The new battery pack is also so convinient, with better accessibility and also coming in a pack instead of having to recharge with actual batteries as those die faster and cost more to replenish. Overall, best mic I've tried! Very happy with my purchase!

Amazing microphone! I upgraded the next day after purchasing the pro one. I think spending an extra $70ish to this was a perfect choice! I don't have to worry about buying more batteries because this camera comes with rechargeable battery. Also this has more options on how you want your sound

I shot some footage of my kid around the house and outside. I haven’t even begun to explore this mic’s capabilities and I’ve already noticed the crisp sound. I’m using this mic on a Canon EOS Rebel SL3 which I also purchased at Best Buy. Just over a grand for the camera and mic. I’ll be shooting short films with this equipment. Thank you Bestbuy!

I really liked it while it was working. Bought it in 2021 stopped working by the end of 2022 though. Not sure if the cord has a shortage or the mic itself was defective. I would use it mostly for a vlog and to pick up nature sounds. Unfortunately It stopped working my after I didn’t enroll in another year of totaltech support. Used it on my Canon M50.

I do a small internet show weekly and needed a mic that could pick up good sound from multiple people and from a distance. This Rode Mic works great, audio is clear and there isn’t a lot of background noise. My only issue is that is costs so much, but you gotta pay to play.

Is it normal for it to come dented on one side of the mic? Or did I just get a messed up one? I’ll remove my review once I get some answers because honestly I don’t want to give it a bad rating if I haven’t tried it. Just got unlucky with this dent?

The overall structure is pretty small and light weight. The battery life is amazing 100 hours. And it doesn't take too long to recharge. My favorite feature is the auto off/ auto on. It's one less thing to think about. You can also interchange the rechargeable battery with a normal battery. Having the extra decibel buttons is great, it allows for instant audio changes depending on the environment. Great purchase, good for the long haul, amazing audio.

This mic takes .5 seconds to install, tighten down and plug in. Make sure your camera has a 3.5mm jack, the canon t6i for example does not have a port to support an external mic so make sure before hand. It Has multiple settings to increase or decrease recording sound which is extra helpful because this mic picks up alot of noise, outside it hears all cars, and inside it sounds like im yelling if im close up so the sound options help tremendously, very easy to use.

Adding this to my gimble equipped camera it is very light and almost weights nothing, it amplified the voice and removed the wind noise from 30+ feet away brought voice in clear and sounds great! Also great having a rechargeable battery because my camera eats up batteries using video.

Easy to setup and quality of the mic is amazing. There are plenty features to setup and use, which essentially allow you to tune it to your needs. I definitely would recommend getting a deadcat with it. Please don't make the same mistake I did, when you buy your deadcat make sure it says Video Mic Pro and not Go.

This is a perfect way to move beyond the internal microphone on a digital SLR camera, it is lightweight and compact, and has excellent audio. It could be pricey. But it works very well.

I’ve had this for a while now, I like using it both on camera and off, the audio is audio quality and fair and usable, but it is what I expected it to be, if you are expecting professional work out of it, I will say that it can do the job IF the person using it is a pro. But I will also say as with anything, you get what you pay for. I knew what I wanted to spend and I knew the quality I would find acceptable for that budget. This mic gets really good audio for the price.

Fantastic recording capability. Use it recording music both outside and inside and I'm very happy with the sound quality. Battery lasts a very long time.

I bought this for filming videos near a busy road. As long as you are pointed away from the road, it does a great job of cutting out background noise. The battery life is good enough that I've never run out. The sound dampening option enables me to video live music without distortion. I am very pleased with the purchase. The only problem I've had is when my husband went to use it and didn't realize that he had to turn the mike on as well as the camera. He shot a lot of silent video. My more expensive camera automatically turns on the mike when I turn on the camera.
